My friend and I played this course in June 2018 at a 6:50 AM tee time during a week long golf trip in San Diego and Scottsdale. We played a lot of great courses from Torrey Pines (North and South) to Wickenburg Ranch and Kierland. We were very much looking forward to TPC Scottsdale because of its reputation.

We were severely disappointed. The course conditions were very bad. There was dead grass everywhere on the greens, fairways and tee boxes. I was actually embarrassed for my friend who flew all the way from South Carolina to play this course. It was our most expensive round of the week outside of Torrey Pines. After the round, I provided feedback on the survey they e-mailed out.

A few days later, I received an e-mail from Andy Silcox who is the First Assistant Golf Pro at TPC Scottsdale. Andy apologized for the conditions and offered 2 rounds of golf at the rate of $33 valid in the months of August and September with very minimal restrictions. I was excited about the amazing customer service here.

Here's where everything goes south. In September, I e-mailed Andy asking to book a tee time 6:50 AM on 9/29/18. He informs me that the minimal restriction is Saturday mornings from 6:30-10:00 AM. No problem. I replied asking for Sunday 9/30/18 at 6:50 AM which should meet his minimal restriction. Andy then replies back that there will also be a 7 day booking window. I expressed my frustration to Andy and asked him to please give me ALL of the "Minimal Restrctions." He replies that the restrictions are 7-day Booking window and Avoid Saturday mornings from 6:30-10 AM. Everything outside of those two restrictions has the green light.

On Sunday 9/23/18, I e-mail Andy asking to reserve 6:50 AM on 9/30/18 as it meets his "Minimal Restrictions." He replies that they have an outing on Sunday morning but 2 spots available at 11:50 AM that he has reserved for my guest and I. It's important to note that I can clearly see that there were three tee times available at 6:50, 7:00, and 7:10 AM that morning and it was not in fact booked up. I'm beyond irritated at this point as I tried calling Andy several times on 9/24 and 9/25 and he did not answer or return my phone call. I called the pro shop and explained the situation and they moved my tee time to 6:50 AM on 9/30/18. Success right?! WRONG.

I finally get a phone call from Andy Silcox and he asks me to explain what's going on and why I changed the tee time from 11:50 AM to 6:50 AM. I explained that I had been trying to get ahold of him and reminded him of the minimal restrictions that he gave me were 7-day booking window and avoid Saturday mornings from 6:30-10 AM. He confirmed that those are in fact the minimal restrictions. Then I said, Sunday at 6:50 AM meets those minimal restrictions right? Then he explained that he can't honor the discounted rate because that's a $200 tee time. Which according to Golfnow when I looked the 6:50 AM and 11:50 AM tee times were exactly the same price at $200. I then asked are you changing the minimal restrictions again? He replied "No, I'm just telling you I can't honor that tee time." I replied, "I don't understand. This tee time meets all of your minimal restrictions. It seems to me that you're changing the minimal restrictions again." He replied, "be that as it may, you're entitled to your opinion but the minimal restrictions have not changed." I'm extremely disappointed now and he offers to refund my money from June in lieu of booking a discounted tee time. I took the refund.

I will NEVER play here again and will never recommend any play here. Andy Silcox and TPC Scottsdale made it very clear that MONEY was their main priority here and Customer Satisfaction/Experience was a secondary priority. Save your money and play at much better public courses like Troon North, Quintero, Boulders, Grayhawk or Wickenburg Ranch. You won't be disappointed with any of those.

It's an ok desert course. There are nicer ones in the area for the same price. The only real reason to play it is to play the holes you recognize from the Waste Management Open. Otherwise, there are better courses in the area.

If you haven't tried it yet you have to. If not for the golf which was spectacular, but also the grounds(putting greens and driving range) and doing forget the people who really know how to treat people very well. I'll be back as soon as I can afford it. Loved it.

WMO definitely not recommended for Seniors. Thought we were smart to Uber....NOT! After your driver gets lost, you're let out at the Uber lot, which is about a half-mile+ walk from the main gate. Then there is no seating at the pricey Greenskeepers area (younger folks likely got there at 8am to save seats). Will rethink next year....

During the Phoenix Open, it's a little crazy. I ended up getting box tickets from a vendor, the food was good and the drinks were good. If I were to go again, I would try to research the parking better and arrive earlier to beat the crowd.

It is fun to play where the pros play. You can remember all the great moment with your own. It's a good course playing as much as I do it's not worth the winter price play during the summer if possible

Fun place to go for the Phoenix Open. Beautiful views and entertaining tournament. Very crowded and long lines during the Open, but good place to spend a Saturday watching golf and watching people watch golf.

This was a bucket list golf course for my dad who was in hospice a year ago. The course was in worse shape then some of the city course around Phoenix. My dad could not get to 25% of his balls cause the GPS would kill our cart even when our cart had the GPS turned off. The fairways were mostly sand and dirt. Wish the condition of the course would have been relayed to us so we could make a descion for ourselves. 2 stars only because the staff was great. Just a sad day for my dad

We played Sunday afternoon and the weather and conditions were perfect. It was my first round since Mr. Weiskopf's redesign. The grand stands from the Phoenix Open are still up on #16 and I can only imagine what it would be like to hit that tee shot with 20,000 on lookers. Put the TPC Scottsdale Stadium course on your list to play when you come to the area.

My husband played the Stadium Course. It was outstanding. Manicured perfectly. Breathtaking vistas. The course played fast and surprisingly firm given all the unusual rain the area has seen recently. Yes, it's a high end course which commands a higher price, but it is absolutely worth it.

Too expensive, entrance tickets, no value for your dollar and security entrance ridiculous!! More security than airport. Too much emphasis on drinking!! Too much alcohol served. Suggest you double the price of beer and bring in more non alcoholic beverages!!!

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND BUYING A PARKING PASS FOR LOTS OTHER THAN GENERAL PARKING, they were on stub hub for 6 bucks. Order and pick them up early or have them shipped. It will save you an hour getting out of there waiting in the general line. What a fun place to watch the waste management phoenix open!! The parking is easy to get to, the buses help transport you to the entrance. Always a great day of golf , drinks , sun , and people watching . The uber system they had set up was great to get to cars there was a bit of a wait but to be expected with a tournament that had the highest attendance numbers.

After so many years of hearing and watching on TV, I finally had the privilege to experienced live at the 16th hole during the 2019 Waste Management Open. WOW... what a crowd!? And what a LEVEL of EXCITEMENT/ENERGY! (wished I can bottle it and sell it) Needless to say, I had an AMAZING time at this event. (counting the days till next year) And oh, an extra perk, to witnessing one of my golf idols (Bubba and Fowler) to win the 2019 Waste Management tournament!

Food was delicious, service was mediocre. Clubhouse was cool, great service there and on course. No caddy, played week after waste management with the stands up. Not the hardest course I've ever played, but it does punish you. Had an absolute blast!
