Very impressive hotel. Any one you bring to this hotel will be impressed. Very good price
Very beautiful venue in an unexpected location. The old fashioned decoration and art deco style suits the rest of the building. Amazing marble pillars and professional service from staff.
Fabulous rooms, amazingly attentive staff, just perfect. Definitely eat at the Typing Room if you stay, fantastic food. Can't rate the place highly enough!
Good location but not the best service if that's important to your visit.
Really cozy, great rooms for the price, nice food, but small selection
Big rooms with plenty of amenities. I came for a wedding and there were several major interruptions over the room's speaker system, which I hope was a one-time thing. Otherwise the event was lovely, location was convenient, and all else went over smoothly.
This apartment was truly amazing. The first night I had an issue with the tubes, but in the end they gave us a free breakfast. Amazing bed, bathroom, covered kitchen by a sliding door. Perfect for two people! Sadly I missed the pool I just scoped online after I had left. Looking forward to next visit !!!
Large, well-appointed room with full kitchen and laundry. Very pleased for the price. Neighborhood is transitional-- pleasant enough but clearly has changed quite a bit in recent years
Great, friendly and professional staff. Perfect room.
We absolutely loved staying here! Staff is warm and very accomodating, the hotel and its decor left us in awe, the amenities were nothing from perfect. The pool was slightly salted instead of chlorined - it's a little spa for your skin! Do have the hotel breakfast and stay for dinner as well: pricing is extremely reasonable and superior in taste and quality. Be prepared to not want to leave once you step a foot inside!
Nice hotel located in a historic building. High ceilings and the apartment we stayed in had everything needed in an apartment. About 5 min walk to the subway.
The service was lovely also the rooms looked very neat as well on top of that there is a lovely view from the windows. I did not see any rats or anything negative. All guests looked very pleased I would definitely recommend it to you.
A very good hotel. The rooms are very big and very clean.
Good breakfast.
The subway is only few minutes from the hotel.
Unique and trendy experience that differentiates itself from traditional hotels
Five stars. We got a Bella suite consisting of two bedrooms, two bathrooms, open plan kitchen with lounge for 4 days at a very short time through Expedia. And as far as the apartment formula was concerned, the room was tidied up every day, cups and plates were washed by the floor service.
Swimming pool and gym that can be used freely from 6 am to midnight.
Hearty breakfast buffet and the option to order a dish such as porridge, pancakes or eggs for free
Comfortable beds that are neither too soft nor too hard.
Staff very kind.
We stayed overnight for a wedding, in a one bed apartment. The building is lovely, and has a vintage vibe.
This was our first time staying at a Design Hotel. What a brilliant idea and perfectly executed design. It's the former Town Hall for Bethnal Green. Room was spacious and quirky with some mid century modern and Art Deco antiques and very comfortable.
A unique experience how this town hall space has been transformed. There's still the lecture hall. The hotel us in a lovely side street, culdesac. My one bedroom apartment room was spacious and super quiet, a rarity for hotels. Better than the comfort of home!
We called at late-notice (10:30 on the same night after getting locked out) and were given a studio apartment for a lower cost, which was a great surprise. The building's beautiful. Set in the old Town Hall they've kept the interior very special with unusual gems (chess boards, barber chairs, and other peculiarities) dotted around the insides. From entering, with the lovely square hanging clock, to up the marble stairs where a 3D-printed chair and some painted-white plants sat, along the corridors past the old-style town hall benches and through giant glass doors, the building manages to be modern whilst keeping the most important elements of what made it special from before it changed function. The apartment was lovely. It didn't have the same quirky character but the stay was great. I fell in love with this building a bit and really enjoyed my stay, though it's the building rather than the rooms that is the selling point.
In the East End, on the edge of the city, this is a well appointed hotel with a swimming pool and a kitchenette and lounge attached to the bedrooms.
Clean rooms. Nice place to stay. Decent restaurant.
Clean and nice room. Everything is pretty here. I was enjoying stay here.
Staff are helpful and professional, really good service and a great location.
Outstanding service, unique design and artwork in the hallways, rooms with character, good food reasonably priced in the restaurant and convenient location minutes away from Bethnal Green tube stop. Great place to stay for vacation or work.
Great rooms (a great mix of understated luxury and period features) in a cool location (bethnal green).
But this place used to have incredible cocktail and food options... from Viajante to the Typing Room and the Peg + Patriot... to right now basically nothing (Corner room restaurant is decent but nothing special).
But i hear a new bar is coming so fingers crossed it's good and they get a great new restaurant where the Typing Room used to be!
Adore this hotel and interior design of the bar and rooms. Lovely place to hang on a non-sunny day.
Cool setting in old Townhall building, room was not very cozy, rather overpriced in my opinion.
is Dizzy the fat whippet still there because i love her
Amazing modern design which is sympathetic to the original architecture. Staff, food and rooms are all to the highest standards.
Awesome hotel. Very grand and oppulant and the rooms were fantastic. Restaurant serves tiny portions. I ordered BBQ ribs and only one large rib was on the plate. Felt I had to go out and get food elsewhere to fill me up
Beautiful venue for a wedding. Staff were attentive and helpful
Fantastic hotel! Just a few minutes stroll to Bethnal Green tube stop and the room are fabulous!
Stayed here the night before my wedding and paid for late check out so I could get ready there in the morning. Noted this on the reservation and not even a congratulations from the reception staff. I felt they could have acknowledged it. I guess they must get it a lot and are just indifferent. Room felt small for the price and had an annoying bathroom door that didn t shut like a normal door so wasn t sound proof - perhaps not a place to go to for a romantic weekend away! Never understand hotels that think this kind of non-soundproof door is a good idea!
Very nice hotel in a beautiful building in a great location. I did have the luxury of a very spacious room with a great coffee machine. Staff was super friendly. Breakfast was great. It was nice that the breakfast was a la carte and they served very good coffee. The hotel is rather expensive, but most comparable hotels in the centre are. At least it is better than the average hotel because it is different as you would expect with a boutique hotel. A benefit for me is that it is very close to LCY Airport. Very convenient for a city trip.
Beautiful venue with professional staff recommend for a wedding
Beautiful building, but run mostly as a venue for events so noisy and rather tacky sadly
High end almost boutique hotel. Enjoyed my stay and staff.
Tower Hill Hotel apartment best quality nice place nice room the concert is good excellent place
Simply simple, elegant yet down to earth and amazing. From the stunning rooms to the Corner Room restaurant and bar. Best place to stay in London. Cozy, accessible and friendly.
This place is pretty handy for Shoreditch and made a nice change from hotels in that area. I turned up late and left early so didn t have a chance to see the restaurant or gym but my room was massive. A ground floor suite with plenty of space and some goodies in the kitchen to keep me entertained. I m back there for a few nights next week so look forward to seeing the rest of the setup.
I was working which bring me into the hotel, it looked very nice, very posh. The room we saw was also nice but not very comfortable/cosy
Attended a birthday party. Super food and lovely room
Excellent hotel in the beautiful Edwardian Grade II listed Bethnal Green Town Hall building. This is real East London and it is close enough to some hot spots (e.g. Broadway Market) to walk. I loved:
- Corner Room restaurant
- Adjoining cocktail bar
- Excellent breakfast
- Indoor swimming pool open late
- Cool mid-century furnishings and style
- Great bathroom amenities
- Located close to Hackney and Bethnal Green
Fabulous place! We had a great 2 bed apartment that was very large and well appointed. Well worth the money and a great place to stay.
Told me at check in that they had no room and I had to go to a room 2 miles away. In a blizzard. I refused so I guess they kicked someone else out. They shoved me down in an underground room which was a strange shape. And the swimming pool was shut. That was the reason I booked the hotel. Refused to contact anyone who had the authority to do anything til the next morning, but did say I could cancel and go somewhere else. Awful awful hotel. Horrible experience on the worst night of the year with tonnes of snow. Terrible customer service.
Went to the corner restaurant. Food was great and service was excellent
Elegant building, helpful staff, excellent acoustics in the room we used.
Nicely designed hotel. Can collect Starwood points. It has a pool. The design is simply amazing. The room I had was practical and quite large. Try the tasting menu at The Typing Room. Don't forget to also visit the Corner Room - amazing lamps. Sad that breakfast is 8 bucks and not included as an SPG member. Many things in the room are for sale so it does feel a tad cookie cutter. But minus these bits I think it's a great place to stay, near to Bethnal Green tube. I will return.
Lunch in Corder room. Lovely 5* food, just the right for birthday lunch. Relaxed atmostphere, wonderful service. I will definitely recommend to friends and family.
Cool fun area of London. Close to Victoria park and Regents canal for an oasis of calm in London's buzy city. The hotel building ozzes history with great design.
It's have stylist apartments, rooms. Function hall. In room dining service. Staffs are also nice and helpful
Lovely, unique hotel. Rooms are very different and if you get a suite more like a city flat. The old town hall building makes the common areas very interesting and nice to walk through. Pool was lovely and we had a good breakfast in our More
Our son got married at the hotel. We stayed in one of the apartments which was brilliant for hosting pre wedding preparations. We hosted a dinner in the Corner House restaurant the night before which is a delightful venue.
On the day, everything took place at the hotel and was beautifully arranged. Service was fantastic, food delicious and the day was perfect.
Superb conversion. Clever touches throughout. Here for wedding so cannot comment as hotel guest.
The chamber room was an epic meeting venue. Food and service weren't great but the setting is.
Amazing art deco hotel used on EastEnders and beautiful
We have just had a 3 night stay at
The Town Hall Hotel
Our Son had to have an operation and stayed with us to recover before travelling home.
The staff were very accommodating with our needs especially the team on reception, even allowing us to change to a more suitable room and taking the trouble to ask how he was.
We would recommend this friendly, quirky, interesting Hotel full of history.
This is our second stay here and although we didn t eat here this time our past experience of breakfast here was excellent.
Thank you to everyone at the Town Hall Hotel.

Beautiful ex-Town Hall building converted into 5* hotel, I stayed in a spacious Executive Studio which had a kitchen and washing machine, kitted out with trendy retro-Scandi furniture. Staff are attentive but not obtrusive. Only downside is lack of views in this part of East London!
Lovely boutique hotel in east London. Restaurants are doing amazing things with food and staff are all friendly and professional.
We should have done more research on the neighborhood and location. The pictures posted by users and on the website make the hotel appear much nicer than it is in person. I found it to be drab, underwhelming, and a little musty. With the right expectations and proper understanding of the location I'm sure it's fine, but we couldn't help leaving feeling a little tricked.
Very good location in the up-and-coming Shoreditch district. Friendly and professional. Functional apartments with service.
The only hotel I've been to where your room does not get made up unless you hang a sign on the door :-(
Far from cheap but has a nice pool & gym
Good in-room facilities
Always enjoy staying here, great gym, coups breakfast pastries and a nightly macaroon delivery. Pricey but worth it.
For families the suite (LG17) with 2 rooms and living with kitchen with 2 large bathrooms is perfect. Good price.
Beautiful building, spacious rooms, but make sure you don't sit at the rear (southwest), because there the truck drivers start at 5:40 am to bring crates and scream at each other.
We were in room 317 it was great and spacious with a comfy bed. Breakfast was good as well. Staff are polite and helped us with all our queries. The lobby and public spaces are clean and chic. Haven't tried to pool or gym so cannot comment.
Today I found out that the booking I had made at this hotel 6 months ago for my wedding in 2 months had been cancelled along with all my guests. I did not find out from the hotel but from a friend who called up to extend his booking by an More
amazing design, great food, one of the best hotels I've been in over the last few years!
Great service for a great price.
Big and clean rooms.
Extremely stylish transformation of a former town hall into a luxurious city hotel with ambience creating preserving stylistic architectural elements of the former, original use. The food is - typical hotel-ok but nothing special.
My favorite London hotel. It has a wonderful architecture and the rooms are beautiful. Rich breakfast and convenient location also by metro.
Town hall was lovely and such a beautiful refurbished town hall. Our room was incredible, it had everything we could possibly need. The breakfast was amazing and well worth it... Dedicate enough time to make it leisurely!
The Town Hall Hotel is looking good...as soon as you pass the door it's does looks really nice...but I never ever see this low level of service and unpro staff...I got better treatment & customer service when I shop at Tesco...
The wedding planner, Mwai Yeboah is the most incompetent person I ever met, but it's not even better when it's come to deal with the big boss Mary Baxter...you can bring any constructive feedback you will never get any "We are sorry, let's try to find a way to do business" which is absolutely great in terms of managing business and opportunity.
Actually I am relieved, this the staff working on my wedding? Well I better break a leg right away rather than having that.
I also like when those kind of place trying to get Ace Hotel down, when actually Ace Hotel take customer seriously, specially for such great & happy occasion ...a wedding.
By the way room are nice.
Have a great stay,
