Nice restaurant, not far to walk to some lovely restaurants. It's not great in very hot weather, but then that is true of most Irish hotels! Very friendly and with lots of shopping nearby.
Unfortunately a bit tight rooms otherwise great hotel. The staff was very friendly and extremely tolerant. Very tasty breakfast!
Friendly and helpful staff. Good location. Comfortable and clean.
Enjoyed our stay. Good breakfast, comfortable room.
Stayed one night but the room was clean and staff were friendly and helpful. Great location for proximity to bars, restaurants and shopping.
Great hotel in th
e heart of sligo town..great location for bars, shops and eating out...pics are from the Innishmurray suite...well worth the price..
The Ceckin was very friendly, the room was okay at first glance! The morning unfortunately brought some huge minus points ... firstly I was woken up by the cleaning staff at 0800 with loud rumble, then I looked at the room more closely, huge stains on the floor where I was scared, the bathtub was leaking and for such prices I expect me at least spoons and no wooden sticks, as with any conventional business, the tea service ... I can not recommend this hotel!
Enjoyed our stay. Great location secure car park. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was lovely and clean and really warm. We ate there the second night and the food was great as was the breakfast in the mornings. Would really recommend this hotel.
I'm currently staying in this hotel. And I have to say so fair our stay had been extremely bad .(I must say that the staff are very friendly ) I know they have live music on Friday night but the noise is ridiculous. I can't sleep which is why I'm writing the review. We did have one or two complaints and said it at the desk . We were changed room when we asked last night ,(we changed because of the noise , clearly didn't make a difference ) when we got into this room it was freezing , we figured they werent expecting people to stay and gathered the heating would kick in by morning , we were absolutely wrong . It was freezing until we realised we have to actually turn on the radiator ourself . I lifted up a towel that had stains on it, doesnt go well as I have severe ocd , . The shower curtin wasn't long enough and i actually ended up rinsing my hair today with a paper cup that I got coffee in . The price of a bottle of water is ridiculous in the vending machine ( 2.00). And currently the noise seems to be getting louder and louder, which I may be wrong but from the sound of it karaoke seems to be going on ....I will certainly not be staying here ever again . We pretty much payed for two sleepless nights .
Spent this past weekend in this hotel! Room was clean and bedding was spotless and ensuite perfect. As a Coeliac i worried about getting good gluten free food but I needn't have as the staff were all well clued in about cross contamination etc "Very Impressed"!!!! Breakfast was excellent, .lots on offer for coeliacs, the locally sourced gluten free bread was beautiful! The staff were all very friendly and the service they provided was second to none!!! Highly recommend Sligo City Hotel!!!! Would definitely go back!!! We had a lovely time, thank you!!!
Very friendly staff. Nice food. Rooms nice. Would have loved a smart tv in the room. Free parking.
Not in the least bit friendly, would not recommend a stay
Great place and close to everything in Sligo town. Taxi rank across the street Staff are very friendly, rooms are lovely
Really friendly staff, ideal location in Sligo and great prices. Room was clean, I've no complaints!
Room was very hot. The AC was broken and you couldn't open the window properly to let new air in! The room was a little old and the flush of the toilet didn't work properly. Car park was quite small and is difficult to handle if you have a slightly larger car.
Another thing that was annoying (but it wasn't the hotel's fault) was that around 11 PM a car alarm went off and continued until 6 AM the next morning....
Excellent hotel and well equipped with all services. Very central location. Free private parking. Well-stocked breakfast. Staff available
Very central hotel near all shops and bars. Room very clean and very comfortable bed, food in the bar was also very good.
Nice place to stay in downtown Sligo. Comfortable room, pleasant service, and good restaurant.
Sligo was a lovely town and hotel was perfect and well located. Food was good service a bit slow on our first night there but we were just chilling anyway
A wonderful place to stay right in the heart of Sligo. A very pleasant small hotel. We had a corner room with lots of windows and plenty of room. Nice restaurants around the corner and a good little Pub the Harp about 20 steps down the quay! Highly recommend it. We will be back!
When we arrived early rooms weren't ready so was given complimentary tea&biscuits staff were lovely room spotless cannot fault my stay
Right in the centre of town. Easy access to shops & restaurants. Friendly , helpful staff with nice attitude. Room was what you would expect in this price range - no frills - which suits me. I'm not fond of their food generally, so usually eat out. I stay there when I go to visit my grandson who is studying in Sligo, so it all works out well for me. Would recommend.
Stopped in for a bite to eat, the toasted sandwich we ordered was a feast
Good friendly service.
Clean and modern, food is really good, walls are a touch thin
We stayed at Sligo City Hotel on 7/9/18. Beautiful Hotel. Cosy bedroom's. Served by few different staff but Ian the night barman made our night. He was friendly, helpful and an excellent conversationalist. Really enjoyed our stay and we will be back. Thank you Sligo City Hotel.
Mary, Roscommon.
Good value and friendly staff. Close to town centre.
i stayed for 2 nights in a lovely quiet room in the centre. the staff was very friendly. even when i forgot my jacket after check-out and i got it back immediately. definitely to recommend.
Beautiful hotel enjoyed our stay very relaxing and clean.
The place is a little walk from the station, but there are signs and it's almost a straight road so I don't think I'm lost. The person at the front desk is kind. The room is also clean. There is also a restaurant and bar, so you can eat there both morning and evening. It was the cheapest to make a reservation from the hotel homepage.
It seems a little far from the railway station, but if you walk straight the way as your map suggest you can easily get there (There's also signs of the direction to the hotel on the road). The staffs are kind. Room
There's some pubs that serve dishes and drinks near the hotel, but the restaurant and bar is in this hotel so if you miss taking dish outside you can have dinner or breakfast in the hotel. There are some booking site but it's the cheapest when I booked through the hotel's homepage.
I was there last month for 3 nights enjoyed the stay going back this month for the same love it
Cheap hotel in Sligo, not too bad. It's snowing its age even tho it seems there was a refurb a couple of years ago, but it is loud, you hear noise from the rooms above, below and next to you. The bar and restaurant looks very poor and somehow stuck in time. On the other hand, the staff was nice and the breakfast, while nothing special, still okay.
Nice clean hotel. Perfect for a stay right in the centre of Sligo
Fabulous stay, the staff were so nice and so helpful. They have no problem going the extra mile to facilitate and enhance your stay.
Room was fine. Ordered Breakfast in Room. When it came it was cold. Still had to pay for it. Receptionist not professional. Asked us for 10 euro for room service. No car park
Enjoyable accommodation to spend a few calm days in Sligo. Polite front desk attendant and good food. I enjoyed the smokers area aswell.
We stayed Sunday night of the bank holiday and would safely say that we would never book there again. We were in room 309 with two small children and the noise coming from below our room was such a disturbance - loud pumping music, shouting. Right outside our window a huge clock chimed to mark the time - the stroke of midnight seemed to last forever! It would have been appreciated if we were told in advance about this. The four of us spent most of the night flouncing around in the beds unable to sleep. Before going to the room for the night we decided to eat. Service in the bar was atrocious - the waiter/bar-man was forgetful, haphazard and generally didn't seem to care one way or the other. When I asked if they were still doing food he said they were, but didn't know "if that was a good thing or a bad thing". We asked for soup, crisps and chicken sandwiches and he said they had no chicken, so we changed to ham. 15 minutes later he came back to say they had no ham, but had chicken, so we changed our order. About 20 minutes later he brought the sandwiches, but no soup - miwadi instead of a jug of plain water. At this stage I didn't even bother about asking for the soup - if the sloppy, over-buttered sandwiches were anything to go by, the soup was bound to be poor. My husband would have been over-charged too if he had not queried the bill. The following morning breakfast was served promptly and there were 4 cereal choices, so no problems there. The breakfast staff were friendly and efficient. However, the grapefruit was sour and the conveyer belt toaster was set too high and burnt the toast. The coffee was good and strong (boy did we need that after the night we had spent) and we were facing a Sligo Feis Ceoil competition and a return journey to Kildare that morning. Next time we come to Sligo, we will definitely stay elsewhere.
