A regional icon with national influence! Totem Pole Play house provides quality theater from the best stock. Nestled in the woods near Gettysburg, it provides a colorful close to a day of touring Civil War with civil entertainment! Dedicated locals are friendly and not a theater snob in sight! Well worth a single visit or season tickets.

Great family fun experience. Saw shear madness and it was hilarious. Loved the audience participation aspect. Would definitely recommend and definitely come again.
This off-the-beaten-path Playhouse was the perfect setting for an excellent play! Our last row seating in a packed house did not cloud any words of the fine actors! This first visit will certainly be followed by more ... with friends!
Excellent local theater. Sometimes present obscure musicals due to production cost. Look for special prices for performances on certain days at certain times if you're flexible.
Wrong turn at Lungfish is another great production at Totem Pole Playhouse. It is funny and thought provoking and well worth making the effort to see. Runs through first week of September.
Such an amazing theater every time I go there. My summer treat to myself! Since I am a writer and author, I hope one day that one of my books will be turned into a play and I can watch it performed at The Totem Pole Playhouse.
I am COMPLETELY impressed with this venue (and the show -- Driving Miss Daisy -- was so well done). We drove 1.5 hours to get there, and I am not regretful in any way, shape or form. From the ease of online ticket ordering to the customer service at the playhouse to the clean and well-maintained facilities, everything was spot on. We were greeted warmly by every employee/volunteer with whom we interacted. Even the "sales pitch spiel" that all producing artistic directors must give at the beginning of shows was an unexpected surprise. The passion and exuberance was contagious. You could tell the people involved with Totem Pole Playhouse truly love the landmark and are proud to be associated with it. Though it's a bit of a drive, I WILL be back again. I'm eyeing up a show or two later in the season. (One suggestion: Though you have excellent directions, please add your location address on the top of that webpage for GPS purposes. I had to search the site to pin it down. Thanks.)
Current show "Murder for Two" is excellent. The theatre is beautifully situated and all seats are good. A bit of trouble getting the air con right - arctic pre intermission but just right after - a temporary glitch I'm sure. Parking close, free and plentiful. Amateur theatre feel but professional productions in beautiful surrounds.
I've been a season subscriber since 1995 because I love the quality and charm of one of America's last remaining professional summer stock theaters. It's the real deal close to home. The summer wouldn't be complete without it!
Amazing energy in Ain't Misbehavin'. Excellent performance. We were not familiar with some of the music, so this was a wonderful introduction to the style. Keep up the good work!
Great place to watch plays. This season the plays were fantastic. Momma Mia was a favorite of mine. This is the second season I have went to each play. A great place
Saw Mama Mia... Friday July 27 ...BEST ... and MOST FUN show I have EVER seen... the cast was also having a ball with this... Amazing energy in performance... Vocals were SUPERB... only complaint was sound was WAY TOO HIGH... remember not everyone is deaf yet. A MUST SEE... Wonderful to have this level of talent near by in a nice clean venue... Audience was friendly too.
