Use to really love this pet store prices are better then all other pet food stores people who work here are very nice But their cat food cans look like they have been thrown around and they are out of stock of foods a lot of times and takes forever to get them in but as I said prices are great so I go back

I noticed that there is a wall going across the whole store with barricades at the entrances with a signs attached that said "Wholesale Customers Only" (see attached photo):

Liked it more before they had to wall off half the store.

One of the best pet stores on long island period. If they had more kinds of all natural canned dog food for large breed senior it would get 5. And maybe more dog toys. But great staff and huge selection of regular dog food and treats

I use to shop at Total Pet Care, however they have recently built a wall across their store and chained off the opening. I was not allowed to go and browse the dog and cat food aisles. Apparently they will not cater to retail customers for any items behind the wall (which comprises half the store). See picture attached.

Large selection of pet toys & pet food. Plenty of parking too.

I went to total pet care. I was disappointed when there was a wall up blocking access and chain across the aisle with a sign in your face saying wholesale buyers only. .

I have to warn other customers unless you re a wholesale buyer you are unwelcome at total pet care.

Great service, very friendly... I've been purchasing my pets food from them for years. I prefer the Mom & pop stores, and the staff here is exactly the reason why!! You have a loyal customer for life.

I have never been in store but just moved to the area. I usually order my dog food online since many stores don't carry it. I noticed Total Pet Care a few blocks away is listed as a retailer so I called them to inquire about what they charge as I'd rather support a small business as long as the price wasn't astronomically higher than online. The employee that answered the phone was nice, but informed me they were not allowed to give out exact prices unless I had their store customer card. I feel this is a poor policy as a potential customer that was ready to bring all my business to the store as it is in walking distance. Not giving prices to people solely based on whether or not they are already a customer not only alienates new customers, but makes me question how transparent their pricing is. So now I suppose I will continue to order online or find another brick and mortar store where they are happy to serve any customer that is interested in their business.

Only place I would shop for my dog. Best service and selection around.

This has always been a great local company. Its a shame that local regulations forced them to change to a "wholesell only" type of layout. Still worth going, just know what you want since the employees will have to grab the items for you from the "back".

My car had broken down and my cat desperately needed litter. I live in one of the apartment communities across the street but the litter would have been too heavy to carry home. Luckily, they offered to deliver to my apartment and I paid them at my door. That s the kind of above and beyond service that makes this place great.

The employees are always beyond kind and helpful. They have actually asked for my Chow pups when I don't bring them with me to socialize. Adjacent to his building is Debbie the Dog Trainer she is so professional and knowledgeable, and so personable, her prices are reasonable, and is always on point when analyzing your dog. I cannot recommend her enough!!!
I was amazed when I had to pick up my dog food. It was the actual owner Joe that picked up my 25lb bag of Dog Food and carried it out to my car. Under my breath I thanked God, because I have a terrible back and cannot lift heavy things, I was a happy camper that day!! Not to mention when the Covid -19 was in full swing it was he the owner who delivered it to me at curbside. Needless to say, I am grateful and proud to be supporting our local small businesses. Thank you Total Pet Care!!

Awesome place! Awesome staff! Have been a customer there since the day they opened. However, they recently set up the store so that you can no longer walk up and down the dog food Isles and select the food you want. You have to tell the staff member exactly what you want and they will go get it for you. I always shop by view, knowing it's a white bag with red stripe and blue writing etcetera Etc, so I was unable to purchase my dog food there. Please open up the aisles so I can continue shopping there. Thanks. I am giving 5 Stars only because of great ownership and service. The shopping experience is lacking, though, as noted above.
