Overpriced. Had the 16oz Ribeye, which was fairly good, with only like 10 french fries. The haystack of onions is pointless....would rather have steamed veggies or something. Anyway I don't feel it's worth $27. Atmosphere is okay but has very dim lighting. If you want a good meal for a good price I suggest you look elsewhere.

There for lunch. Great service, large portions. Food was very good. Our waitress wore her mask properly. People spaced out in the restaurant. It was a good change from fast food for lunch. Would recommend

Impromptu exploration of downtown to break up drive monotony and eat something besides truckstop food.

Several options downtown. We drove by here 3 times wondering if it was open for a mid-afternoon meal. Glad we stopped

Everything was better than expected: ambience, selection, flavor, price, presentation and service. Elizabeth was very professional and friendly.

Big unexpected treat was the dessert tray!

My wife and I wanted to have a nice dinner without the responsibility of cooking for ourselves and having to clean up. We decided to try Torey s as we were there recently for a work related dinner and had a pleasant experience.
For starters, we were seated at a table in the bar area (which we requested), but waited at least 5 minutes before our server was able to make it to our table. There were no issues in ordering our drinks and having them delivered in a timely manner. My wife was not very hungry so she simply ordered a salad and the French onion soup. I ordered the 14oz bone in Tomahawk pork chop, which was to be served with garlic mashed potatoes and a crispy stack of onion hay.
We received our food and it was disappointing to say the least. My wife s soup was a mess, it was overly salty and very carelessy ladled into the crock as the soup had spilled over the edges and was basically burnt onto the sides.
Concerning the pork chop, I had ordered it to be cooked medium but it came out to be medium well to well done overall. The flavor was good but I couldn t get over how the middle of the chop had become dry due to being overcooked. As for the crispy stack of onion hay, they placed it directly underneath the pork chop. It became a chewy, and oily, inedible mess. The garlic mashed potatoes, however, were quite good. But at this point I was done with the experience and had lost my appetite.
When we brought our complaints to the server she spoke to the chef and came back to offer us a replacement meal. We told her that we needed a little time to decide.
So at this point the chef came by. He asked if we wanted anything else. I responded that I was unsure at the time. He then said well since you re not eating this can I take it away? I said yes, and he very hastily grabbed my plates from in front of me and took them into the kitchen. So now at this point I am ready to leave.
I told the server we didn t want to order anything else, but we were just going to settle up and go. So she brought the bill and said she was taking $5 off for the overcooked pork chop. $5 off of a $19 meal that I ate 2 bites of...? My wife complained about that and they took that meal off the bill completely.
All in all, we will never be back to Torey s. The chef told me that the stack of crispy onion hay was placed under the pork to soak up all the juice from the meat. So... at this point it s no longer crispy, it s mushy. So why write it on the menu that way? Put it on top of the chop or on the side.

PS - even after the chef was made aware that we had issues with our dining experience he seemed more interested in sitting at the bar and chatting with a friend than he did with trying to find a resolution to the issues we had with our food.

Terrible Restaurant. Bad food. Horrible service. Prices are a little high for this type of venue in a location like Owatonna. I couldn't believe how rude and unprofessional the staff were. Wow. Would not eat here again nor would I recommend this place to anyone.

Bathroom had a bad urine smell. We sat down at 6:00, finally ordered around 6:20ish. Around 7:30 I had to ask where our food was. Our food finally came out at 7:45. My $27.00 steak and potato was suppose to be rare, but came well done. Had to pay $0.60 extra for sour cream, a 1.50 for the salad. Had a short whisky drink, the next time I ordered a TALL whiskey drink and they both ended up being scotch drinks...plus I poured my TALL drink in my short glass and it fit???? Every interesting!
Service was super slow!

Every time I go there it is the worst service. I just walked out. Went in and sat at bar to have quick beer. Nobody acknowledged me or greeted me. Sat there for almost 10 minutes. Walked out.
They went backwards with new location.
Owner has a huge ego problem.

This was my first visit and not the last. Professional chef prepares each meal and the details are never forgotten. Very focused on each detail, from customer service, food preparation, restaurant design and staffing. Thank you for the great food, service and experience.

Quality food at great prices. You can tell it's made with love. Great tap list as well: not overwhelming but has the best of 2 dozen options with plenty of different choices brought in every month or so. I have eaten in plenty of high end restaurants from coast to coast but Torey's keeps bringing me back unlike any other place I've eaten before. Once a week is not enough.

I have never seen a restaurant owner act like such a bully and be so inappropriate to staff and customers. He should not be allowed anywhere near customers, and if you make a complaint about the food or drinks he will argue with you. If you are planning on having a wedding reception and you are looking at this place for food and drinks look somewhere else. I honesty don t know how he can still be in business and hasn t had a complaint to the Better Business Bureau with how he treats his staff members.

So I ve been here 2 times. First time was for the Knights of Columbus Christmas party. That time it was great, absolutely no complaints. Tonight however was completely different. A good friend took me out for dinner. He ordered stir fry. I had fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp. When our waitress, Laurie (who was very nice) asked us how our meals were, we simply said okay . We did not say good or great or delicious. We just said okay . Then when she came back later my friend told her how he disliked his meal. She brought a menu and offered for him to get something else. He decided he didn t want to. Then I finally got a chance to speak up about mine. Once I did, she went and got the owner, Torey. He came and towered over us. Mind you, I not only have anxiety but social anxiety. So I was extremely intimidated and could barely speak. My friend tried to tell him how he felt about his meal and he got argumentative. I could barely explain about mine. My friend , he said the sauce was terrible and ruined the stir fry. Mine, I have never had Alfredo sauce like that in my life. I know how to make Alfredo sauce and that is not Alfredo sauce. That is thin and nearly flavorless. Torey told us he d pay for the meals and then we got up to leave . As we were leaving he started yelling at my friend. Admittedly my friend did lose his cool and yelled back. As we stepped out the door , Torey said Don t come back you loser! To my friend. Don t worry, my friend won t be coming back and neither will I.

Toreys is a quick lunch stop if you hit up the lunch buffet, and it is more upscale dining for supper. The lunch buffet is primarily "wedding reception" food while supper is steak or fish options with some pasta options as well. Anytime is a good time for a long island ice tea as it is one of their specialties and they offer a variety of specialty flavors.

Glad to see Torey's moved from Bridge Street. It's already become a fixture of our downtown. They have great food, private booths to sit in, a wonderful meeting space upstairs as well and reasonable prices. Highly recommend.

The scallops were like rubber and they were not in butter and garlic. The sauce was more like watered down margarine. I couldn't taste butter or garlic. The Hawaii shrimp were mushy and also had no flavor from the so called butter and garlic! Totally a disappointment!

Went there today (Saturday) with a friend for a late lunch around 3:00 or so. Seated quickly and was presented with a larger menu than I expected for a small place - large menus worry me because it can lead to delays in the kitchen or lacking quality - but our orders came out promptly, hot, and delicious. We both had the French Onion soup, which was amazing. I went with the Chicken Parm Sandwich which was larger than expected, so that's always a plus - the marinara was a little on the sweet side but not too sweet, it was good. My friend had the Veggie Sandwich and she said it was good. My Jack and Coke was a little stronger than expected for the price, so that's always a good thing. I reserve 5/5 for the absolute best which completely knocks my socks off - which this wasn't quite there, but I just couldn't give them 4 - definitely very good and recommended, and I plan to return the next time I'm in the area. And I actually saw Torey himself out visiting guests a few times while I was there, so that's always cool when a chef is open to face his customers.

The service was horrible. The people come in after us got there food first. Are food was cold. The only thing that was good was the new building. It felt like my family and I were put to the side.
