Colin is SO MUCH FUN! He s energetic and breaks up the studying with a ton of entertaining stories. It was decently helpful, although I haven t had a chance to test my improvement by taking the ACT again yet, and I do feel like I m more prepared than I was before I took the course. It was an incredibly relaxing and fun environment and I m very glad I got the opportunity to spend time in the TorchPrep course with Colin!

I've seen the team work with students from diverse backgrounds and communities-- always connecting to the students as human beings & showing them so much dignity and respect throughout the process. My son improved 8 points on his ACT score after taking the TorchPrep course. While I am sure he is to be given a lot of the credit, I am convinced that this course was instrumental in helping him increase his score by such a large amount. Take my advice - make the investment and take this course. It is worth it!

I've taken this course and it has been the best schooling experience I have ever had. I feel like I have learned a lot about how to handle the ACT. I am only a freshman and this course has improved my score on average by about four points. Torchprep is an amazing opportunity and I strongly suggest taking this course.

I m well aware of the great job TorchPrep does. When your ACT score goes up that is extremely helpful for college financial assistance. It helps put parents minds at ease as their student prepares to take the big test. The trainers and staff are not only incredibly knowledgeable but have a genuine desire to see the students excel and increase their personal skill level.

This is a very passionate group of people, who know their stuff and care so much about students. They have a great track record helping students improve their test scores by figuring out how to help the play to their strengths and beat the tests by developing personalized and well tested strategies. But they go way above and beyond, by caring about and building relationships with the whole student. The students aren t just test scores to these folks, and this clearly isn t just, but a commitment to improving the lives of kids and communities.

Dude torchprep was a good time. Grif was a rad dude and the corse changed the way I view the ACT. I recommend Griff to anyone looking to learn. Grithf gets a 10 from me. STRONG SECOND HALF!!! GRIT DONT QUIT !

Excellent company whose aim is to give students an extraordinary classroom experience as well as change their story.

In my opinion, this course is not as universally helpful as advertised. It is catered to students who are lacking in test taking skills and basic ACT skills. If you are a student who is scoring above 30 and feel like actual knowledge is the reason you aren't able to raise your score then do not come to this course. All real information is given through an ACT guide which anyone can buy online. This first half of the day is spent reviewing over-complicated test strategies and small chunks of review questions (which the proctor does not provide explanations for, but rather tells you where to find the explanation online or in another book). The latter half of the day is spent taking a full review test that you are told to check on your own. On top of all this, the course is unnecessarily long; a solid 1-2 hours of each day are wasted on superfluous and unnecessary anecdotes about the proctor's personal life. All-in-all if you are a student who feels generally unprepared for the ACT and are receiving average scores then I would suggest this class. If you are a student who is receiving high scores and are lacking in a specific area, your money and time would be better spent with a private tutor.

June 21 2017: The ACT scores have just been released and it would seem that the course truly didn't work.

Working for TorchPrep has been such an awesome experience! The company has really thought through every detail to make it the best possible experience for all those involved!
