I had a car stolen in Dallas, but I don't live there or even close. So now my car has been stolen for over a month and they won't file it stolen until I come into the police dept. When I called the police dept they asked me a hundred questions and made me feel like the criminal not the victim. Its a old vehicle I don't drive so I left it at a friend's house, and they couldn't believe that people have vehicles that they don't drive. The lady was like it's probably impounded, or that I simply lost it. Seriously what the hell is wrong with y'all?

City of Dallas- Police Technology Unit
To whoever the lady cop that pull me over today ! On Easter Day ! Badge number 11142 needs to be fired she very rude and abuses her authority and ppl rights . She had not right pull me over ! Just seen young black male in car and followed me . I hope somebody do something about this ppl that work in there uniform that they are above the law too !
Called for advice on what to do if I suspected my firearm at my 88 year old grandmother's house was stolen by a family member. The lady tells me my only option is to try and take the person to civil court and make the person give me back the gun. You can't file a report unless you see it missing yourself. What!? Sir, They may be lying to you and don't want to give you the gun and you're getting mad at me. First lady, I'm not mad but, I'm supposed to wait until someone commits a crime with the gun and the police come looking for me??? I need to speak to someone else. No, you can't. Click. Dial tone.
I called and the woman on the phone was so rude. She even raised her voice then hung up in my face. Just terrible. This happened today at 1:06pm
Officers at info desk helped me with what I needed, professional and friendly- 2/3/18 at 13:15 Very nice station
Always on hold for an hour and then I get hung up on.
The officer at the entrance that searches you is completely ignorant, yet he acts like he knows what he is talking about. He wasted so much of my time by telling me the wrong thing, multiple times. On top of that, he was extremely rude and seemed racist. I'm white, he's black and acts like a know it all when he knows absolutely nothing. Just because we have a black president now doesn't mean you have to act like you know what your doing at your job that most likely only supports your ego. I know that there are more educated officers here. The most unknowledgeable one should not be the first to give you advice when you walk in the door. He either enjoys wasting your time, or he's really that misinformed. It's pathetic.
our Dallas Police chief Brown. Thank you for all that DPD does to keep Dallas safe!
Terrible how can you feel safe in Dallas when you call and it takes over two hours and still no show. I was robbed. Dallas do not call the law enforcement take care of yourself, these people we pay to protect us do not care about are livelihood. I will never respect Dallas
Please help me find this man named Steven Ray Hoskins. He's living at 110 Diane rd. Ferris Texas 75125. He's my ex and spreading my nude pictures that supposed to be in private only. I'm a Filipina and living in Philippines.. His money can't do anything to pay me for disrespecting my name and damaging my moral value. He's creating different accounts just to send my pictures to my family and friends. He created an account on instragram and put all my pictures. Please help me Dallas police. I'm dying just to defend myself. That man is doing a crime.
I am so very grateful and amazed by the dedication my city's first responders have. I am proud of every one of them for continuing to put in late hours, help someone in need, keep our communities safe, understand the hurt in our hearts for police injustice and still risk their lives to prove that together we can make a better world. I hope the love that this city has felt in recent weeks never ends for all of us, but especially for these incredible people in our Dallas Police Department. Thank you for all that you do.
Roll an initiative where patrol units aren t allowed to drive like absolute maniacs. I can t count how many times I ve been cut off or almost hit in the street because of how reckless some of our finest drive.
Two cops came to me while I was openly carrying my shotgun and waving the rebel flag in the city of Dallas. Guess what happened? NOTHING. They REQUESTED, not demanded, for my ID and stayed near me to PROTECT me not detain me. They fully recognized my freedom of expression and they also thanked for my future service. I don't know why y'all are so hateful towards these men and women, who actually risk their lives to protect us. Did I get arrested? Nope. Even citations? Nope. They were just there to PROTECT me after getting a paranoid hoodrat calling the cops on me.
Dedicated ,active with the Community ,very well rounded ,with Citizens of Dallas County ,City of Dallas ,working to set a Good Example ,for youths ,with the Dallas Police Explore program !
Most wonderful person who really cares about the wellbeing of others
I love and respect Dallas Police. Thank you for your hard work.
Thank God for the men and women in Blue! I pray that we all can figure out a way to live in peace together otherwise we all going to die together!
We know ahead of time which future government employees have the personality attributes to repeatedly blunder so that you can leak info or jump to a trigger action
My family and I always have and always will have the utmost respect, admiration, and appreciation for law enforcement officers. I cannot express in words my gratitude for your service, nor my sorrow for your losses. Thank you, as sincerely as I can express it, for protecting and serving. 07-08-16
A native Dallasite who is very thankful for the generations of Police Officers who have protected and served the citizens of Dallas. With respect in memory of those we have lost in the line of duty - our city will never forget your courage and sacrifice for the good of those you served and protected. The headquarters on Lamar is a testament to you all, Bling Blinky of Texas Shout Out: Dallas Strong. Backing the Blue.
A lot nicer than I expected. R. I. P.to all the fallen officers.
Prayers for Dallas PD and all police officers in the rest of the US. Thank you for your service.
These crooked cops stole $320 dollars out of my arm rest after I was in a wreck......and to think I was really sad when that guy was shooting and killing cops downtown.
Man...dealing with the bureaucracy of the Dallas PD Headquarters is a nightmare. They have wrong information posted on their website and then when i follow directions they turn me away. Waited on the records dept. Phone Line on hold for 4 1/2 hours. Just seems to be lacking infrastructure for a department that is literally infrastructure for the city.
I understand y all have other calls to deal with but when a minor gets something stolen from him at 8:30 at night and we wait over a hour and no one comes. It s messed up cause we even said it wasn t far from where it happened and there is a group of at least 10 people that were associated with it that could potentially see us and jump us and y all do nothing? Thank you Dallas pd for letting $300 worth of stuff get stolen! Hire more staff or something because this is why a lot of people don t like police, cause when you re in need you don t have enough people to help them and it makes people want to deal with it themselves instead of calling y all. I mean how do people even feel safe with y all? Oh wait they don t. Y all are supposed to protect but because there wasn t a weapon it s not important even when a minor is in danger. I m sure everyone loves seeing their tax dollars going to waist.
Good Morning to all the Police officers from Dallas Police.
Absolutely unprofessional and unhelpful. I called for help with simple harassment, and they outright refused to help me. I asked for help and they literally said "no". Absurd. What are the police for?
They are there for you, but we need to show our support for all who care enough to make a difference in so many lives. God Bless all of you and the one's we lost. My prayers are with you every day , I love you all.
F da police! Constable stole my car and sold it at the auto auction... For decades driving without insurance was a ticketable offense; until they caught wise and started flipping everybody's cars for $$$. if anybody takes your car without your permission or against your will its carjacking or Grand Theft Auto, ohhhh but its totally fine if the cops do it To officers: stop referring to regular people as civilians, if you are not active duty military or a veteran; guess what you are a civilian. Cops are civilians too! ( unless they're in the reserves or a veteran)
Cops like officer Royal Michaels should be should seriously be investigated and internal affairs does nothing but act like you did something wrong when you know for a fact with proof that you didn't
I am thankful for the Dallas Police Officers, who serve our community. I pray for God's protection over them, as they seek to protect the citizens. I think they deserve kindness, appreciation, & respect. Let's do our best to support them!
I just want to give a shout out to Dallas pd and remind everyone that the slow wheels of justice have absolutely nothing to do with the people we elected to represent us as we pioneer the future based on our rich demographics and large population moving into the future.
First the record offices hours are 8-3pm.... i came to request my records and was told that would take up to 20 business days. These people are worst than tow truck companies!
We love and respect the brave men and women that serve as Dallas police officers. Our church and many other folks are praying for you.
The only police department that hangs up on you in the middle of a 911 call.
Thank you for your dedication and professionalism. Sending love and support to you and your department.
Chief Brown, My family and I just wanted to write to you to express our out rage & horror at the cowardly attacks on your officers last night. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the officers who were shot & their families . Dave Payne Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada
I called and told them to ask if someone had dropped of my i.d and he told me to call 911 and then hung up
Sending my prayers and condolences to all police officers and their friends and family. God bless and thank you!
They had my car keys and told me I didn't seem them freaking grab it.. And told me it's nothing they can do about when the clearly had my stuff
I work for DHA and upon my exit of our corporate office , I saw our new Chief of Police Renee Hall. I greeted her with a good morning as she was engaged into conversation with someone . Chief Hall walked over to shake my hand, and she even asked for my name . I was nervous but excited at the same time, but she was delightful and very welcoming ! It was very nice to meet you Chief Hall
Thank you to all the men and women in blue especially our Dallas police officers...prayers for all as you all have a dangerous thankless job. I for one am soo thankful and proud of our officers. Citizens dont always know the whole story before reacting negatively. We are one people not black or white. God created man not races. I love and support you all 100% Thank you again! Also awesome chief Brown and our Dallas mayor!
Been trying to discuss a problem I had with two officers for months. IA won't investigate, I can't get the video from my interview or the calls from the Detectives desk. If you go through a background check for DPD and Cpl Kobe or Cpl Rogers gets your packet then be prepared to be racially profiled and harassed. So much collusion and corruption in the background department, it's not funny. The new chief needs to take a close look into it.
I called this department requesting some information on a report number I spoke with a lady with the ugliest attitude and rude. feel that the customer service department definitely needs a lot of training on how to treat people.
Cannot express in words my gratitude for your service, nor my sorrow for your losses back in July. Thank you, as sincerely as I can express it, for protecting and serving. this city.
I'm not a resident of Dallas, but I would like extend my heart and prayers to all of you who put your lives on the line to protect the good and the bad people of this world. I commend you for a job well done ! Thanks for all you do.
Just had a police woman yell at me for having a panic attack. What kind of person does that?
As a native Dallasite, I have never been as proud of our Chief of Police as I am today. Chief Brown is a gentleman of character, integrity, compassion and purpose. His televised hour-long update today of the ongoing investigation of the shooter last week points to his strong leadership and commitment to Dallas Police. I commend him for his transparency, honesty and refreshing humor. Chief Brown, you are the best thing that happened to the Dallas Police Department. Thanks for YOUR service and commitment to the citizens of Dallas.
I send my love, prayers and deepest condolences to the people of Dallas and the Dallas police department on the loss their 5 officers . Pleae pray for the officers and their families
had a hit and run. called it in police never showed up, and too top it off they get mad when i call them back
They may have got Joshua because he was a young ceo
I put a post on here back in September 2019, it's not on here now. I'm going through a Constitutional Ordeal that started on March 27th 2019 in Waxahachie, Tx. 12/25/19- Merry Christmas my post from September was to let a bigger county(city) know what a smaller county was doing to me.
The Mckinney incident is a shame. What grown man handles a 15yr old girl like that(eric casebolt). This is our police department? Wow,respect lost. It seems police think they can do anything now days.
I've been sexually assaulted inside my own apartment by a trespasser, had my car attacjed 3 times, and my girlfriend's car has been hit. Neither of us ever received a follow up call. I don't feel safe, I don't feel protected. the man on the phone today said the only reason I would file a case for my broken into car would be for insurance purposes because, in his words, "there is almost no way a detective will have time to look into it".
My telephone was stolen from me at the Union Station located at 400 S. Houston Street. After more than an hour and no response from Dallas Police Department, I called back and was told that the call was referred to DART and I was transferred to DART who informed me that it was the responsibility of Dallas Police Department. Long story short, no one ever came to take the report and when I reached my location and called back I was told that "it was stolen because you took your eyes off of it". Still trying to file a report not so much because of the phone but because of my official identification. Non-responsive police department. Oops, maybe because I am not a resident of Dallas. SMH.
Dallas Detectives are no help. Terrible service. Needed help placing a report was told to talk to a detective, so I did, he wanted me to laterally do his job he wanted me to do all the investigation like if that wasn't his job. Might as well give me your badge and handcuffs and I'll do the arrest too!!! Completely useless and waste of time. What's the point of asking for help when they are too lazy to even do anything.
We brought gifts from our community from Bolivar, MO. The two officers that were out front were amazing! Stay Safe DPD!
They sometimes lie cheat steal falsify and suppress evidence like erasing 911 calls. Poor customer service. Drug dealing thugs
I don't think the police chief reads these, but he handled the shooting really well and deserves the praise.
I lost all respect for the Dallas PD after receiving a fraudulent ticket from 2 shady police offers on Good Friday. Had to go to court just to schedule a court date. If you don't show up they issue a warrant for your arrest. Got a court date set. Then the city attorney office called talking about they need to reschedule do to "mandatory training" for the officer. I said no. I have plans. Get to court the judge talking about they granted the cops the extension after I said no. Remind you if I didn't show up, another warrant for my arrest. Then the judge got the nerve to cop an attitude with me then threaten to send me to jail for some made up ticket which I never received because she didn't like me questioning their fraudulent acts. Now I have to go to court another time for the same ticket that makes THREE court appearances. And if I don't show up, yeap another warrant for my arrest. The Dallas Police Department and the city of Dallas government is a scam. As a man of God. I hope the whole system fails. I'm a firm believer in you reap what you sow. They are nothing but a bunch of crooks and scam artists. And they wonder why they have ZERO respect in the community. I wish my tax dollars didn't go to them. Citizens are better off without them. 0 stars if I could. No time to mention how they only pull over brown people (minorities).
My heart "BLEED'S" for the Dallas Police and others Killed by Police Officers around the world. It's a two sided coin. We want the Police when we need them & ignore them when all is well!!. Even when I was stopped by Dallas Police for speeding @ times (They Said?!!). I was treated with the utmost Respect & Dignity. The recent disturbing Police shootings around the world is sickening and make my blood boil as well but getting a gun and taking it out on Police Officers doing their jobs, is just plain "CRAZZZY"!!!. (VIOLENCE IS NEVER AN EXCUSE FOR "JUSTICE"!!!). We understand as minorities in this Great Country, (U.S.A.). Racism and Bigotry is in every fiber of the American Culture. This is why Chief David Brown, defies "ALL"!!!. You can grow up and even become a Chief of Police, when dogs and water hoses were once used to disperse, "CIVIL RIGHTS ACTIVISM" in the sixties. I'm honored and "PROUD" of Dallas, for hiring, Chief Terrell Bolton, our first Black Police Chief & now, Chief David Brown. We may not always agree with their actions but giving a "BLACK MAN" an Opportunity, is an Opportunity that allows people like me to, "KEEP BELIEVING IN THE AMERICAN DREAM"!!!. Police officers have a Tough!! Thankless!! and OH YES!!, "DEADLY JOB"!!. Some don't live to receive their pensions at the end of their careers, like what happened, July-7-2016 @ 8:58 pm. This will be our Scarlet Letter of "SHAME"!! Dallas will wear for a long!! long!! time, just like the Kennedy Assignation to date. We will "RISE" from the ashes of yesterday's Tragedy and become a Leader around the world in, Good Policing and Better Race Relations, I Believe!!!. My Heart is Hurting for the "BRAVE" Officers who lost their lives in the line of duty and the Officers left behind to heal in the hospitals and don't forget the Officers who got up this morning and went to work like, Dallas Police Officer Lowe, who I spoke to this morning to give my Condolence and Support for the Dallas Police. Then I called Duncanville Police and spoke to a Good Man, Sgt. Freese , to give Support for our suburban Police Officers and left a message for the Honorable, Chief Brown, of Duncanville Police, what a (Awesome Man) of Support and Thanks. Thanks Dallas Police and Police Officers all around the world, who do their jobs everyday without incident. It's spectacles like these that gets the media attention and bring light to what Police Officers endure on a daily bases. One day I will like to meet Chief David Brown, face to face for a interview on my Radio Show on the Internet. I tried years ago but was "BLOCKED" by a lady on his staff. CHIEF DAVID BROWN and PRES. BARACK OBAMA, has Inspired "Me"!! "That I CAN BE ANYTHING IN LIFE!! IF I CHOOSE"!!!. Thanks again and God Bless, Mayor Mike Rawlings, Chief Brown, City of Dallas and the Awesome Men and Women who wear Police uniforms around the world. ( AND OH YES!!! DALLAS POLICE) Sincere Thanks & Appreciation, Raymoondo Juan Kwatoko Lee Owner- "MOONDOWEAR" Clothing Line & CEO- WARRIORS-HOPE & COMPASSION 501c3 Nonprofit.
The department s officers are not bad, but I applied as a Police Officer and was denied, and later I applied as a Police Research Specialist, and I was also denied. I have a Masters Degree, two Bachelors Degrees, I volunteered for the DPEV Program with Travis County Constable Precinct 5 for 3 years; I was even their Volunteer of the year in 2016. I was also a Volunteer Fire Fighter for the City of Heath, and I have NO criminal record at all. So while the department says we can t get any good candidates that is either a lie, or something is extremely wrong with the DPD hiring process. It is really a sad state of affairs for a department with such a great history. Nicholas Nix, B.S., M.P.A.
My organization is Global North Texas. We are the local affiliate of the U.S. Department of State. We manage the itineraries when international delegations come to Dallas at the invitation of the U.S. Department of State. We recently had in town a large group of attorneys from all around Latin America. As a part of their itinerary, Chief Rick Watson and his team in the Patrol Bureau bent over backwards to arrange special ride-alongs for this group with the Dallas PD. We could not have asked for better treatment from Chief Watson and his team, and the ride-alongs were the highlight of the delegation's visit to Dallas.
Terrible department. Applied and went through the effort filling out their extensive application and history forms and training for the PT test and they disqualified me the day of this test because I "tried" to smoke marijuana on two different occasions in my entire life because of the environment that I was exposed to. I Didn't even get high on those 2 occasions because I don't smoke and don't know how but I'm not suitable for the job according to them. I have a college degree and was probably one of the best applicants there. I guess they value lying over honesty and integrity even though in bold print on their polygraph screening questionnaire it says DPD accepts certain drug usage. Will never apply to a police department again and the officer had th audacity to tell me to come back in April 2019 since the last time I tried marijuana was march 2017(idek if that is correct date becsuse I never got high and it wasn't a significant event in my life). However, I'm too much of a criminal for DPD even though I've never been involved in any other criminal activity. Thanks for wasting my time and effort DPD, you truly aren't a good representation of Dallas. You didn't even give me an opportunity to explain those 2 minor instances!
I don't know your dept. well enough to review your everyday activity, but I do know that our prayers are with the entire Dallas constabulary and their families. Bless those who were lost in the ambush and I know that their sacrifice will give the dept.strength. Be safe, Allan
