Crawfish pies are to die for and service is good too.
Fresh seafood, mini Market, and cooked food to go. It's always packed, I usual go on Sunday after church for a platter. I enjoy it.
This place is like no other place I've EVER seen when it comes to seafood. Anything, and I mean ANYTHING, that you can think of they carry. They will even package it in dry ice so you can take it home with you if you are from out of town. I think you can also get them to ship it to you by ordering online, but I need to double check that.
They also have a seafood deli but you can get BBQ there too. Took my family to Southern University Homecoming game and my wife, who is a seafood junkie by the way lol, lost her mind when she saw everything they offered. I thought I was going to have to hit her over the head and drag her out caveman style just to get her out of the place. Lol
All kidding aside, this is a seafood lovers paradise and I HIGHLY recommend you visit. Enjoy.
Passing through on a family road trip. Tony's will now be what we all think of when we see the name Baton Rouge, and a smiley will come with that memory. Ohhh Gawd I wish we all had a place like this in our home towns. Super fresh, fun friendly staff, choices choices and more choices.... Got the gumbo, catfish Po'boy and a muffalitta (sp?). Also picked up some dry goods and drinks, took it all back to the car and pigged out in style. Lots of sea food in the gumbo, Po'boy had tons of fresh catfish cooked to perfection, it was a juicy sandwich, not a Dry'boy!
The muffawhatchumacallit was awesome, always wanted to try one and we all loved it, the olives really came through with the meat and cheese. Thanks Tony et.al!
Louisiana institution for fresh fish and seafood to cook as well all kinds of hot food preparations. The after-church crowd had the place packed Sunday afternoon. They have security directing traffic and making sure parking is smooth. Even though it is 40+years old, the place runs a thriving business and prices are very competitive. I went to purchase stuff for gumbo to have on hand for next week. It will be cleaned and frozen for when ready to cook. The Louisiana tradition of gumbo for or after Thanksgiving. Ours will be after the traditional meal, later on during the weekend. A treat for out-of-town family!!
I like to go to Tony's for their hot cooked food. It's always fresh and delicious. The staff is friendly as well. Tony's continuously displays their founders legacy with a great experience!
Quality, excellent service, prices a little bit high but this is justified by the quality they provide. You buy you food and go, so there is no tables. When it comes to good seafood, this place is a must.
Everthing looked great and smelled wonderful. I tried a crawfish pie, got some jambalaya and picked up some gumbo. After eating the gumbo for 5 min i stopped earinf my meal and went directly back in the store and picked up 2 quarts to take back to Houston with me. I pass through Baton Rouge on my way to see family im Ms and ill definitely be stopping here from now on during my trips. The only thing i dislike is the fact i have to travel 4 hrs to get some more. My hats off to the owner, cooks and servers!
Good good. Bad customer service. The owner stands behind them like the are prisoners.
The hot food is great and i love their raw seafood.
I love Tony's Seafood another in and out store...If your waiting maybe under 10 minutes those guys in there are quick with that fish lol
It was a bit different but if you come to Baton Rouge and you don't swing by Tony's then you missed something good the menu is unremarkable you'd have to see it to believe it!! Fresh seafood coming right out the door...
Friendly people good food busy busy busy lines be long but worth it
Best boil crawfish in Baton Rouge. Great place to get seafood and fish as well as local food
Always great but gotta be willing to do the lines on busy times.
Absolutely the best customer service! Very helpful! Driving long distance to get our seafoods home, Tony's went above and beyond! Hoping to order online in the future! Super clean store. Way to go!
Food was not the best. Little seasoning and servers where rude. They rush you through the line as if, you're holding them up..Customer Service terrible...and plz. Dont ask a question!! You'll be treated badly
Baked fish was almost too salty to eat. Hushpuppies were unedible
I ordered and payed for 3 cat fish only received 2 fish need to check order before giving it out from Washington state
All ways great service and fresh seafood not to mention the Deli
Nice n clean very pleasant n fast service everything fresh a safe environment for all
I'm from Lake Charles it's always a great visit when I come
TONY SEAFOOD IS AND ALWAYS HAVE BEEN THE FAVORITE SEAFOOD OF MANY MANY STATES NOT JUST LOUISIANA...JEEP THE EXCELLENT WORK UP TONY AND EMPLOYEES..GOD BLESS EVERYONE WHO HAVE MADE TONY SEAFOOD THE SUCCESS THEY ARE .....
Great home cooked food for lunch or a visit when you don't want to cook at home, also their boiled food is on point everytime !
Stopped by to get some fresh catfish fillets, fish fry, and cooking oil. The cooking oil is priced above market value so I opted not to purchase it here. But while on that aisle I noticed frozen ears of corn for just 2 bucks! Had to get em! Fast check-out and friendly service.
Can't say enough praises for long-standing Baton Rouge landmark. Great foods and really good service.
The crawfish are super fresh and huge size. The people there are super helpful and friendly. Unfortunately they do not have tables to eat in the shop for travellers like us. Anyway there is a park nearby where you can find tables. In summer probably is going to be too hot outside.
This is home for me, even though I moved to St. Louis, I can't wait until I come back in town to re experience Cajun/Creole at its finest.
Awesome ... very clean, I love that seasoning smell .. the best hands down
Best visit in LA, so many options of good food , all taste great
Friend who knows his food brought me here. I had always heard about how great it was but somehow had never visited. Grew up in Cajun Country and LSU'03.
Expect a line (usually a good sign of delicious food) that runs smoothly. The employees serving the hot food options seemed on point and in good spirits.
I was immensely underwhelmed by the Crawfish Etouffee and the greens. The beans were the best of my order since the boudin link I ordered, at the beginning of the serving line and at the end of the serving line, never made it into my bag. So, I won't be returning for the line OR my missing Boudin Link.
Crab was good. Some were not. But, overall good food. N many good seafood to choose from. N sweet potato pie
Service was great. The catfish and shrimp was very fresh.
This is the best seafood market I have been too. Always stop there when in town from St. Louis. Just got back from another trip to Baton Rogue and came at end of Crawfish season could not get any but plenty of other great fish. The staff there is so friendly and helpful. This has become a permanent stop when we are in town. Look forward to the next time down there.
This should be on everyone s list of must go to Baton Rouge spots. If you live in Baton Rouge, if you visit Baton Rouge, if you pass through Baton Rouge on I-10, you must stop at Tony s.
Great food and fast services it can't be no better!!!!!!!
There is such a variety of fresh seafood; cooked and raw at Tony's. Everything you need to prepare a seafood feast can be purchased in this one location. If you don't want to cook, you can order complete balanced meals, of many choices. If you are a lover of seafood, this is a great place to start.
Got orsters by the bags, food ready to eat its off the chain, freash seafood , duck to gator also
Super crowded.. but always worth it. Must have when visiting family in Baton Rouge luv luvluv it
Best fresh seafood in Baton Rouge! Terrific deli as well. Will package your cold purchases for shipping or transporting yourself. AWESOME!
Best catfish fresh or cooked. Lots of other great food too.
I love this place!!! And as weird as it sounds, the smell adds to the beauty of this place
Whenever traveling to or through Louisiana I stop at Tony's. The food is delicious and the quality is amazing. My favorite is the crawfish etouffee. Never been disappointed in 10+ years.
Great place to get frozen or hot seafood! The hot food line was wrapped around, the whole place poppin! Love getting to watch them pick your catfish, kill it, and skin it right there in front of you, you know it s fresh fish! For being a seafood market, the place was very clean and many staff members were continuously walking around picking up and helping with anything you need. Best seafood market in town by far! Love coming with the whole family for the atmosphere is great!
Very nice place but needs a dining area. I love all their products made by Tony's.
Best place in Baton Rouge to get your seafood or a delicious plate lunch.
Excellent selection from fresh fish, live crabs, crab meat, seasonings, and an amazing hot lunch bar!
Great atmosphere great food excellent service you have to visit this place and get some great food.
Best seafood place to go in Baton Rouge. Come all the way from Georgia to enjoy it
Great seafood selection. Staff is super helpful. Lots of fresh options.
I usually visit this restaurant at least once when I'm in town and the workers in the hot plate area are always so unpleasant to the point of being downright rude. It's sad because I love the food there, but I may have to stop visiting.
Very Good Broiled Seafood,Good Service Good Workers.Thank you Tony's
Love it here. It's always packed but the lines do move fast.
Boudain balls were cold and salty, shrimp were excellent.
Every time I am in the city I make sure to stop and enjoy the great food and customer service.
Good service. Packed frozen seafood for flight. Reasonable prices.
Horrible crawfish. Lines too long. But polite staff
I have been going to Tony's on Plank road for many many years and I have never had a bad meal or a bad experience. Food is always fresh, great customer service, and they give you plenty for your money. AMAZING
All I can say is WOW!! The food is delicious!! The shrimp, fish, gumbo, ribs, and all the sides were just delicious. Fresh and well seasoned, but not salty. Definitely recommend this place. Good eats. Also, there is a fresh marketplace to buy fresh seafood. Friendly staff, contrary to other reviews. I was treated very nice and I asked a lot of questions about the food. They were very patient with me. Definitely a nice visit. I highly recommend it.
Went to Tony^to get extra large shrimp to make Manilie*s or barbarbeqed
Shrimp! Yum!!
It's the best place to get any kind of seafood raw, fried, boiled or any way! The people are always friendly. We got the boiled shrimp and they were excellent!
If you go to Baton Rouge you should go to Tony's. Louisiana's largest seafood market and with a large selection of fresh seafood items and live catfish. The deli line is great, and set up to let you see and pick from an abundance of sides and appetizers. They will cook your seafood to order to add to the plate. Fresh and hot. Many spicy items perfectly seasoned and regional specialties like crawfish or shrimp balls, boudin etc. Also seafood grocery area where you can pick out all kind of breadings, condiments, etc and a cold case with various items such as coleslaw, potato salad, banana pudding, etc to round out your meal. Very popular. The only drawback is that there is no dining or sit down space onsite so you are going to have to eat in your car or drive to a picnic area.
The young man that help me was so kindly and patient.
Excellent food! Parking just downright SUCKS and is (for a better word) dangerous and too small to handle the amount of people. CALL IN your order! Huge line for deli! Is it worth it? Heck yeah!
