It's gone downhill since the purchase when it was NWGA Bank. The building is old and repair doesn't seem to be happening. The wallpaper is peeling in the entryway and looks awful. The hours aren't friendly and neither are many of the tellers.

Horrible customer service! I called to ask how I could get access to my account number for income verification that I needed and she laughed at me saying I should have that information and hung up on me. Unbelievable. I've banked here for over 10 years and that's the service I get.

Same people different policy. New hours sucks big balls. Went to apply for online banking and I thought everything was straight, but it wasn't. I went to Advance Financial to get a loan for the cash I need unlike this bank are outstanding on interest rate. Anyways... applied for loan at Advance Financial to get a loan and they asked if I had online banking I said,"yes". I went in to my online banking with the password and user name... well it never let me log in. Took me 3 weeks to get it situated with NWGB or should I say, "FIRST BANK"? but First bank said that my account is active in their end, but I told the lady that it's not showing active on my end. Gave her my info to account and said that its "ACTIVE" sorry bit its not showing active on my end. Entered my user name so many times and password and it locked me out from accessing into my bank account. Went to the bank next day and took about almost and hour for the lady to figure out why my account showing not active. I brought my laptop to confirm to them that it's not active!! Im definitely going back to Regions Bank where they actually care for their customers. Unlike NWGB aka FIRST BANK.
By the way... you know how many different FIRST BANK there is online with different logos...? took forever to find their website.

By far the worst bank... My online account is always messed up. They take money out of our account without our permission and then place it back in as a CHECK ON US. Who does this. I had to go in and try my very best to get it straightened out, but it's not working. I just now at 10:14 on 08-16-16 tried to call and it went to an unknown voicemail. Really!!! When my last check clears were done with this mess.

Zero stars from me!! I only chose one star because it wouldn't let me post my review until I chose at least one. I banked with Northwest Ga Bank for many years.. Close to 15 years! Never had a problem until a few months ago. I believe that's when First Bank took over. I have to say I Hate this bank. I will tell everyone I know not to bank there. Never can get anyone on the phone and the new hours are very inconvenient. As soon as my automated payments clear I will be closing my accounts and going to another bank.

He didn t care one bit about how his employee treat me but I guess it didn t matter because he wasn t any better than her!! I closed out my account!! Terrible place to bank!!!!!

NWGA Bank was awful, since the FirstBank merger it's gotten much better. I have no hidden fees ( like most of the idiots have said they have). Understand a bank will charge you fees when you let you account overdraw. I have had a FB account over 10 years, and I won't go anywhere else.

I, like others on this forum, would give a lower rating if possible. All banking matters are serious and employees should be above reproach. I have been left feeling as if I ve dealt with something far less than a professional institution. Lauren s understanding and communication skills on important matters were poor. Ann was without exception the rudest and most unprofessional person I have dealt with at any financial institution or any other business to be honest. I would not recommend this bank under any circumstances.

This bank sold to First Bank and I've had nothing but a bad experience ever since they transitioned 3 weeks ago. Tried to change my address on my account online twice and they still have the wrong address on there. Today I get notified of a fraudulent transaction and they block my card, then when I call the bank to discuss it with them, after an extensive wait time which I NEVER had with NW GA Bank, they tell me their system is down and to call back in an hour. I'm done with First Bank and would NOT recommend this crock job to anyone.

Had trouble with First Bank every since they took over Northwest Georgia....have my account set to where it can't go into the negative but somehow it still does. Check my online banking and it has shown 7 times that we had over the amount in account than we actually had. Very deceiving when you have bills to pay thank god we are honest ppl. Only thing I had a good experience with was when Fraud Prevention contacted me due to somebody stealing my card info in another state and they got me a new card immediately.

Can't get in touch with anyone when you really need them. I hear Dalton Whitfield bank is to open a branch in Tunnel Hill. I'll be changing to them as soon as it opens, or perhaps sooner. They also shut my card off without contacting me first when I was out of town on vacation. I was unable to have turned back on for 2 days. They told me it was turned off due to it being used out of state, and I need to let them know before going out of state next time.
