Wow what a blast from the past I used to go to this restaurant when I was a little kid with my family and it absolutely has not changed the decor inside was exactly the same as I remember although the restaurant felt a little smaller food was excellent and the prices are very reasonable
Food arrived hot and fast. Portions are smaller than last time we were here and that's the only reason I'm awarding 4 and not 5 stars.
We ordered off the Daily Lunch Special menu and our son had an eagle burger with cheese. Our server was polite and attentive. No problem with the service or food. Will be back.
Went there recently after having gone there for years,and the food and decor was still great as always. They may have changed their head chef or ingredients because the pancakes I had were different than I had ever had before, not bad mind you, just different. Love supporting this local restaurant!
A must visit while in Vancouver. Their menu has something for everyone, even if you're not looking for a whole meal. I ordered the roast beef dinner with Yorkshire pudding, hands down the best meal of my life. The meat was so tender and the Yorkshire pudding was so authentic and moist. Gravy and mashed potatoes were melt in your mouth good, mixed with the veggies, I'd never loved broccoli and cauliflower more! The service was stellar, we were waited on by a lovely women who was super friendly and easy going. We got to meet chuck, who was a jolly guy, happy to share a story or two.
Inside the restaurant is a whole new world, or old world, there are gizmos and gadgets, art works and art pieces. Not to mention the best darn rubber duckie collection I've seen. The restaurant has totem poles outside which were fitting, this place was featured on Dives and Diners. They will NOT disappoint. What are you waiting for!?
Very tasty food! I am a vegetarian but I don't really like veggies. Anyway. I had the veggie sandwich and it was great. Everyone ate every bite. Onion rings were delicious. The place mats were neat. Service was excellent. Not too much or little. Just right. It would only be better if they were liscenced. Then they could serve local craft beer. It doesn't look like much. But it way exceeded my expectations.
Has triple D said the best Yorkshire pudding going the gravy mashed potatoes the roast beef the vegetables brussel sprouts and peppers where are outstanding customer service was also fantastic
Incredible food, seriously the best veggie burger anywhere, and I have had many! My husband could not believe how great his Chief Joe burger was, better, he said, than most restaurants, and it filled him up. Fantastic service, great music & amazing cherry pie best ever! Going back!
My daddy use to take his girlfriends here when he was young lol. Like many years ago. He introduced this place to me this and I love it. Pls don't change your proportions. It is the perfect size! Highly recommend for any meal of the day.
The place is designed so pretty and cool. It is so attractive. We went there for brunch. The food was just Ok. It wasn t that yummy that we expected. To us, we don t go there anymore and just one time as an experience was enough.
This place is a classic greasy spoon. Bryan Adams used to work here!
The food came out quick. The servers were friendly. Would definitely come back!
