Had their Irish cofee, a mixture of most part whiskey and coffee. I wanted another one, but feared being up all night. First of all, before you plan to come here (it opens at 5 p.m. on weekdays) make sure that you've had a light lunch - because the sandwich helpings here are massive. I had the Reuben sandwich - the meat was great and feels perfect in your mouth, the salad is also perfectly flavored to go along with thr sandwiches. My friend ordered the fried chicken sandwich and was also beyond content with the choice - although neither of us ended up finishing our meal.

The server went out of his way to check on us, give us great recommendations on what to eat and to make conversation. The roof is covered with name tags, the place gives exactly the feel its going for.

This place is ALL ABOUT THE VIEW!! On a sunny Sunday the view of the bridge is just amazing with SF and Alcatraz in the background. The perfect place to chill with some friends play games and have drinks. They have Bocci and corn hole as well as succulents galore. The repurposed containers now house a kitchen and bar.

Was a regular at Bergin's back in the '90's...got the shamrock on the ceiling and everything...must have dumped thousands of dollars into the place. Moved away 16 years ago, and was just back in town for Christmas. Stopped in for an Irish Coffee and found out that my shamrock is gone...big bummer. Irish Coffee good as ever though.

Can't recommend this place enough! Love sitting the cozy dining room with the fire place, great food and great service every time I go! Naughty Cow is delicious and everything there is made from scratch. Authentic Sheppard's Pie taste like my Grandma makes back in NY! They have a huge whiskey/Scotch selection, and they make a great Black and Tan. The Irish Coffee is simply the best! If your looking for great quality authentic Irish comfort food, at a responsible price Tom Bergin's is a must!

We love Tom Bergins for the old memories when Chris Doyle was a bartender. The food wasnt so good this visit..mushy Shepherds Pie, Shredded corned beef but the bar was excellent. Their Private Whiskey Tasting Room is going to be awesome & we can't wait for the opening.

This is one of the best bar/pubs in Los Angeles~ It's actually a place "where everybody knows your name..." This is one of the best pieces of old Hollywood and could be added to a register of historic places. Besides the awesome food and great beverage selection, this is a place to go to have a beer and laugh and even make a new friend or two. :)

I finally stopped in here after their big renovation. I was surprised to find it nearly identical to what I remember. I guess the benches are new around the horsehoe bar but the rest seems the same. The big change is the insane prices for drinks. I remember a really descent happy hour but no longer. $10 for a 12oz. bottle of Sculpin? Are you crazy?

The sushi was delicious. I came here because they have Blue Crab rolls. Not many places in the Valley offer this at a good price. The staff was very kind and helpful. There was a minor mistake with our order and they fixed it. Parking is a bit difficult but it's always been that way when it was Sunshine and Rainbow Thai. We will be back.

Great little pub. The eating area in back with the couch and fire place is nice. Great drinks and decent prices. Parking can be a pain due to the small lot and residential parking, but hey, at least it has a lot.

The historic space speaks for itself. The food and the service is above and beyond. Grabbed a booth with my family for an early dinner. Best Mac & Cheese my picky 10 year old said and the 8 year old crushed the fish & chips. I had the best double patty burger I ve had in a long time. What an awesome spot.

Yesterday was our first time we came to that fine restaurant. But It is absolutely not the last. We had a good time with the generous service, with the great cooking and wine and with the modest price. We will definitely visit there in a short time.

This is a pretty cool hang out spot in Union Square. There's plenty of things inside to keep you entertained. They have a lot of beer selections and there's plenty of room to catch up with friends. My only complaint is that it can get pretty loud, but what bar isn't? FYI... No cover charge!!

Small and dark with imaginative cocktails, this speak-easy is on point. The smell of fresh herbs and a friendly grin from the bar greeted me upon entering. The bartenders are very personable and their doxology talents are superb.Definitely try something new here--and prepare to be impressed. The atmosphere is perfect for a quiet drink and some good conversation. The music was well-chosen and just present enough to cut above the din of patrons chatting.I'll definitely be back when I'm in Los Angeles, CA .Awesome.

I like the Peterson Auto Museum, so I have been here twice, very cool classic building, but BOTH times I couldn't get served! Not at all busy, bartender cutting limes and walked right past us with no acknowledgment! Seriously walked out both times. So wouldn't bother with this place!

Although their Guinness can be erratic, the remaining exotic, eclectic cocktails, liquors, beers and wines more than make up for this. Everything I've eaten on their menu has been close to superb. Their Irish version of a BLT is tasty, satisfying and inexpensive.
Their beef and fish are wonderful. They make great salads and excellent breads, but their desserts will blow you away. They are within walking distance of the La Brea Tar Pits, LACMA, the Peterson Auto musuem and all that the Miracle Mile has to offer.

This is one of the oldest Irish pubs in the city. They recently changed owners but the new owners really kept its word to try to keep the old feel in tact. They offer a rotating list of beers. The staff is very friendly. And the food comes out quickly. I love their Shepard's pie.

Ordered the Bear Republic Tartare Rouge, and that was an interesting beer. It's sour! Was okay. I followed that up with the Nightcap Belgian Dark Strong (10%), and that was awesome! Artichoke dip was great, service was awesome, highly recommend.

I really like this spot. Friendly. Good food. Good drinks. Reliable. Open late. Very nice in daytime with the windows. Sit at the bar or take a booth or table. Go alone or with somebody or a group. I'm walking distance so a definite plus. Their parking lot is good or just park a little ways away and walk up.

A classic American take on an Irish pub infused with LA prices and atmosphere. Food's pricey for what it is, but it's a nice place to grab a drink. Parking isn't great, so be prepared drive around a while looking for street parking.

Really nice staff but the food didn't feel worth the money. The fsh and chips was pretty middle of the road and the salad was too simple except for the breaded chicken on top which turned out to be the best part.

I celebrated my graduation earlier this evening in this delicious restaurant. Well we passed a phenomenal evening and the venue was no doubt the reason for the fruitful gathering. The stuff contributed in a pleasant way, the meals were extremely good and my buddies were extremely glad. We shall no dout visit again for more joyful events. Thank you very much.

About Tom Bergin's Tavern

Tom Bergin's Tavern is a legendary Irish pub located in Los Angeles, California. Established in 1936, this iconic establishment has been serving up delicious food and drinks to locals and visitors alike for over 80 years. With its cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, and extensive menu of classic pub fare, Tom Bergin's Tavern is the perfect spot to grab a pint with friends or enjoy a hearty meal with family.

As one of the oldest Irish pubs in Los Angeles, Tom Bergin's Tavern has become a beloved institution in the city. Its warm wood-paneled walls are adorned with vintage photos and memorabilia that pay homage to its rich history. The bar itself is an impressive sight - it stretches nearly the entire length of the room and boasts an impressive selection of beers on tap.

But what really sets Tom Bergin's Tavern apart from other bars in LA is its commitment to quality food. The menu features classic pub dishes like fish and chips, shepherd's pie, and bangers and mash - all made with fresh ingredients sourced from local farms whenever possible. There are also plenty of vegetarian options available for those who prefer plant-based fare.

In addition to its regular menu items, Tom Bergin's Tavern also offers daily specials that showcase seasonal ingredients or highlight particular culinary traditions. For example, on St. Patrick's Day (a major holiday at any Irish pub), they serve up traditional corned beef and cabbage alongside live music performances by local bands.

But it's not just about the food at Tom Bergin's Tavern - this place is also known for being one of LA's best sports bars. With multiple TVs scattered throughout the space (including a giant projection screen), it's easy to catch all your favorite games while enjoying some cold brews with friends.

And speaking of brews - let's talk about beer! As mentioned earlier, Tom Bergin's Tavern has an impressive selection on tap that includes both domestic favorites like Budweiser as well as imported varieties like Guinness Stout (a must-try at any Irish pub). They also have an extensive list of bottled beers available if you're looking for something specific.

Overall, there are many reasons why people love coming back to Tom Bergin’s tavern time after time: great food; friendly service; cozy atmosphere; excellent beer selection; live music performances during special events such as St Patrick’s Day celebrations or Super Bowl parties – all these things make this place truly unique among other pubs around town!
