Tolovana Inn Review

If you're part of a large group, don't go here! We had a family reunion, rented 17 rooms for a week. Think of the money they made off of us. We were told that there is the common area for get togethers such as dinner, etc. Well, for 40 people to be quiet is impossible. We were told multiple times that we were disturbing other guests and that we needed to quiet down and those times were 8:00, 9:55, 8:30! Quiet time is 10:00! We won't be going back.

Great resort. Beautiful location with views of the haystacks in the ocean. The hallways leading to the rooms are wooden floored and it makes the rooms a bit noisy if there is a family nearby running in and out of their room.

Rooms are spendy but they are beautiful the view is spectacular friendly staff, bunnies on property are nothing short of adorable! pool is clean and so is spa! there is a sauna as well. parking is hairy but only when its super busy!

I had a special request and they went above and beyond. I would definitely recommend them to anyone

Generally good. Not having rooms ready with a 4 hour difference between checkout and check in not acceptable.

We stayed in a pet friendly room and although it did not have a balcony the bed was one of the most comfortable we have ever slept in! Very conscientious staff on site that goes above and beyond. They are super dog friendly for you pet lovers out there.

Me and my girlfriends are coming here for our yearly vacay. Instead of a hotel, its like your own little condo on the beach. Sooooo cute. The staff is really nice too.

This place is amazing. We had a great view of the beach (though, not every room has a great view). The room was cleaned and the gym was almost good enough haha. We plan on going back.

The view from our room was breathtaking, even though the ocean and beach only took up about 60% of the view (the other 40 being the other inns). Our room was also way fancy and the lighting was spectacular. Our romance package was totally worth it, the cider was awesome. The people at the front were quite friendly and the fully included kitchen was certainly appreciated. Overall it was a great experience and we're definitely coming again in the future.

I have been coming here for the past several years and enjoyed it. This past experience was not up to their standard. You would expect for a $225 a night room that the coffee pot would be clean and not have a moldy filter of used grounds in it. Also, the towel in the bathroom had a large red stain on it. Seriously, if you are going to use that towel, at least be smart enough to have the stain folded inwards.

We stayed in a suite which was very large and had a lot of amenities however the price for off season was a little high in my opinion. Service was good and you're close to a lot in Cannon Beach.

Nice location on the Oregon Coast with access to a beautiful beach, Mo's, and a pub.

Nice location and great price. Walls are not well insulated though and we could hear the neighbor as if they were in the same room. Still... great deal!

The hotel was nice and right on the beach. The sheets were kind of dirty and there was a fire alarm that went off at night. Overall the hotel was a great place to stay and I'd stay there again.

Hotel is pretty average, but great beach access, reasonable rates, and helpful/friendly people. A bit away from most of the town, but just a couple minutes drive. There is a restaurant (Mo's) next door (about 25 feet from my room) and a small but full grocery store across the street for anything you need in the room.

Great location. It's right on the beach but away from the crowds. The rooms vary in quality but overall they are a bit dated. The front desk people seem nice.

The current conflagrations in Oregon prevent us making our (much looked forward to!) trip to Cannon Beach and this hotel. Obviously the evacuations and route closures prevent our trip, so we ve had to request a cancellation. The hotel charged us an extortionate cancellation fee to just add that extra layer of disappointment. We ll be back to Cannon Beach, but not this hotel.

I've been coming here since I was a girl with my grandparents. Now I bring my family with my mom! Beautiful condo, great views, wonderful beach for sand castles, kite flying, & long, lovely walks.

We recently stayed at the Tolovana Inn and had a great time. When a group of guests were checking in and were loud and boisterous, the manager anticipated a potential problem and gave us a complimentary upgrade to move us to a quieter room. We appreciated the managers attention to detail. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with a great location.

Our stay was very comfortable. The room was clean & bed was comfortable. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Spent my anniversary with my girlfriend here and absolutely loved it. Right up against the beach, easy path access to the shore, and plenty of amenities like a pool and spa that are very comfortable. We shared a queen bed which was perfect size, and the TV channels had plenty of options. Highly recommend this place for a quick weekend getaway.

Being close to the ocean heals my weary soul. There is something magical about Cannon Beach, Oregon. I just love it there and can t enough of the place.

When you re on a tight budget Tolovanna Inn may be a bit pricey. However, you get what you pay for and for the price, you can have a room with a spectacular view of the ocean and sunset. You gain peace and quiet, and you feel so close to nature you can almost hear it whisper.

We don t like to spend a lot money eating out so it s great to feel like you re home away from home. You have the amenities of home. Great for families with children and dogs. Pet friendly and your children will love feeding the wild bunnies with carrots and veggies.

In the evening you can either sit around the balcony, watch the sunset or go outside and enjoy a bonfire while you roast marshmallows and relax.

Go and try out their saltwater swimming pool and whirlpool. Great for those achy muscles.

It s worth the price if you want to be close enough to hear the ocean roar. I leave the patio door open at night (Spring and Summertime season) so I can hear the waves.

Enjoy and relax and let Tolovanna Inn take care of the rest. Stayed here 2 times already and will do so again, ask for suite #128 good for 2 people and a pet friendly room. Please note, not all suites are pet friendly, but do let the wonderful staff know ahead of time that you will be staying with your pet.

Absolutely a wonderful place to stay!!!! A very pleasant staff. Ocean view rooms are right on the beach as well. It's entertaining to watch the bunny rabbits come out at night and feed. A DVD library at the concierge to borrow movies from. I would highly recommend it for a night or weekly stay. And the clam chowder at Mo's is great as well.

We loved it here. Right on the beach. Full suite. Pub and grocery store nearby. Lovely decor.

The view is extremely beautiful. But all of the facilities on Cannon Beach have a gorgeous view.

The fitness room does not open until 8 AM. This was extremely disappointing for an early morning exerciser. The only reason I given was that that the basement floor where the fitness room is located does not open until 8:00. However, when I went there, the floor was open and the doors were unlocked, except for the fitness room. It was also odd that I had to ask the front desk for a key, instead of using my room card to open the door.

Our room had a dishwasher. We left a some dishes in the sink in our room. When we returned, the dishes were in the dishwasher, but the dishwasher had not been run. I turned on the dishwasher. Not a really big deal but it would be nice to come back to clean dishes.

Maid service and an accessible exercise room are very important to me.

Very comfortable rooming. My partner and I had a basic room (no ocean front view). We originally had a groupon for another beach front hotel for a ocean view room. However unfortunately they did not have availability during the time we stayed. So we stayed with Tolvana and had a great time. It's right next to a Mo's and there are cute little bunnies everywhere on the property. The only things I did not thoroughly enjoy was the overly squeaky bed and overpriced DVD rental prices.

This last stay I found that the comforter had a large wine stain on it. But only saw it just before checking out, as it was on the underside being used. Other than that it was a typical good stay there.

Nice and close to the beach. Rooms are quiet and clean. Nice pool/ hot tub area.

Great location, decent room. Would be nice if they had beach toys for the kids as we forgot ours.

We spent the evening making fun of the little shrimp that Mos puts on everything. I was expecting 'normal' sized shrimp when I ordered the shrimp cocktail and got something that looked like the Cannon Beach bunny's chewed on. They put these little buggers on on my wife's salad and my cole slaw. We joked that they were going to garnish my fish and chips with the mini shrimps.

Great room for a great price. Beach access was nice. Loved hearing the ocean at night. Awesome view of haystack rock. 10 stars

We decided to go with a non-view room since we run around so much during daylight but this was just a few steps from the beach, very convenient to a next door restaurant, and ice machine available for self use. Room was clean and had all the usual amenities. Nice walk to Haystack!

Ive had the best trip and experience while staying at this hotel. Very cheap, wonderful ind oor pool and hot tub.

Best place, love having a kitchen. The beach access is perfect.

I love this place because it's right on the beach and the staff have always been attentive and courteous!

My room was great. It had a partial ocean view for $140 a night. It was a little warm but comfortable with the window open. Unfortunately it was too noisy on the walk way late at night to keep the window open. Also, there was no parking when I got back late from a wedding reception but they allowed us to park outside the lobby. Friendly staff, great location. Only steps to the sand. I would probably stay again.

I been coming out there for 4 years now and love it but I wish they keep the coffee hot in the office

It's a nice place. The ocean view and ocean front units are the best, but you'll pay for it. Some things are outdated for the price especially the studio units that are cramp.
I would not recommend the studio units.

Excellent rooms, great service abd the ocean view is amazing. Walking along the beach alone was worth it, but the whole experience was great. Staff were friendly and helpful. Pool and hit tub nice and room was clean and well stocked. No complaints. Rate very reasonable too.

We stayed in building 3 which perfectly overlooks the beach and hay stack rock. Mo's is 50 steps away and same with beach access. A great little food market across the street that has everything you need. The rooms are clean and spacious. The kitchens are stocked with utensils if you're going to be cooking. I'll definitely be coming back for a longer stay. The only issue I have is with Cannon Beach not having a gas station.

Fantastic location right on the beach and in view of Cannon Beach. I would recommend spending more money on the larger room however because the non ocean view rooms are a bit small and do not have minifridges.

Great Service and Location. Room Needs a new Carpet, it was 50 shades of grey with freckles and moles.

This place is awesome. Rooms are updated and very clean. Warm indoor pool and hot tub too! They also have multiple plugs in parking areas that they are cool with EV vehicles using. Will be back!

The classic hotel on the beach is still a wonderful stop. The rooms are fairly plain, but clean. Missing a few common amenities such as a hair dryer, pre ground coffee, salt+pepper, don't know how much of that is covid related. The grounds are nice, charmingly dated. The hotel is just a stairway down to the beach with plenty of fire pits and only a short walk to haystack rock. This place is what I think of when staying at the beach.

Awful. The bed and TV were side by side, so when I was ready to settle down for the night, I couldn't watch the TV. Oh yeah, had to have maintenance come in and fix the TV as it wouldn't turn on, and then only had 1 channel. Ended up using my laptop to watch Netflix & slept on the couch to see my laptop.

Absolutely loved our stay at the Tolovana Inn at Cannon Beach. Not only was the staff helpful and friendly, but the rooms were clean, comfortable, and perfect for a quick getaway. Our absolute favorite part of this hotel was the fact they were SOOOO pet friendly. They even provided a pet basket with a water dish, pet towel, bedding, treats, and bags. Highly recommend this hotel and would definitely would stay again in the near future.

My husband and I have a vacation/rental condo across the street. The property management company had sent us the wrong pin code to get the last time we went to stay there for the weekend. It was after hours and we were unable to get hold of our property managers to let us in, and it was getting later and later. We decided to find another place to stay for the night. So, we wandered over to the Tolovana Inn. Of course, we'd always known it was there, but had never stayed. When I explained our situation to the wonderful woman who greeted me @ the check-in desk (I think her name was Jubilee)-she was most pleasant and helpful!!!! She did everything she could to help find me a room that worked for our "urgent" needs. I can't say enough about how impressed I was w/her service (and I work in the service industry myself). The suite was FABULOUS!!!! I wish we could've stayed the whole weekend there. Lovely views and amenities. My husband and I both commented that we couldn't believe how nice it was-all these years vacationing there on that end of the beach and we had no idea about this gem. I would recommend staying here to anyone.

Me and my wife just went for the night and took some out of town family along. Staff was friendly and service was good. My only complaint was the bathroom was a mess. Sand in the bathtub, on the floor and in the sink.

Really great hotel for the price! Right on the beach

Great hotel, friendly Staff. No breakfast at the hotel though. The restaurant near the hotel is great but doesn't open to 11 and also doesn't offer breakfast. The walls are paper thin. I can hear conversation very easy. They do offer a rewards program if you travel there regularly though. No microwave or mini fridges in the room which is a let down.
