This place failed two family members, my brother in law, my step dad. The victims. My Mom, my sister, my nephew, myself. My step dad went to TWC and remained an addict. My sister's husband has been at TWC twice and failed both times. He continued to use drugs etc and steel money from his family members. The real bizarre thing is TWC hired him to become an employee. I don't recommend this place.

Watched someone OD in front of me while staff scrambled to call 911. It was early morning and no traffic on the road so ambulance got there quickly. But what if they hadnt arrived when they did? They dont have any paramedics or medical staff working here at any given time of the day or night. And the naloxone that is supposed to be readily available is not. This is a dangerous facility. Also at night there is only a single staff member present for the entire facility. An untrained ex addict wanders around "keeping tabs on things". They charge an arm and a leg for someone to be here and honestly apart from the food, which contrary to the rest of the facility is actually good, the prices being charged to admit someone into treatment here is overboard. And unrealistic for most people. The more money you have the better service you get. Fact.
If you are struggling and need help with addiction , look no further. TWC is an amazing place ran by great staff and will help you tremendously with all your addiction issues. Go in with an open mind and use some willingness to try and change your life & the possibilities are endless. I highly recommend twc for anyone that s in need of help. I'd give them zero stars if I could. 4 years ago, I went through treatment here and actually would have recommended it to anyone I know. The whole program was excellent. New management supervised by Daniel MacEachern ruined the place, and runs its strictly as a profit-hungry business, cutting costs in every way, and squeezing every dollar that they can out of it. What a shame!

A bunch of crooks who will convince you to pay 4 times the price of any other "client". They will convince you to part with your wallet using manipulation and scare tactics. They will prepare you for a life in and out of rehab because there is no cure for addiction. Ripped off my mom and manipulated her list rehab in order to get be back in there. All the counsellors are past addicts who act as though it was all figured out but hey are still at risk just like all of the other clients. Stay away. Crooks and liars.
I have heard about TWC through the recovery community, and it was all positive, it made coming to TWC an easier decision for me to make. I am very grateful for the understanding, supportive and compassionate staff. which not only teach recovery, they live it in their daily lives, I couldnt have done this without their support. ive met alot of really great guys here. I am confident that I will be able to do anything that I set my mind to, by staying clean using the tools that i have learned here. WOW!!! Being at Together We Can has not only saved my life, but given me life. TWC and the support around the center has helped me in opening opportunity for freedom and living a sober life. The lessons I have learned alongside the 12 steps of Alcoholics Anonymous is guiding me to flourish in prosperous sober activities and fellowship as well as the ability to give back to others what was and still is so freely given to me.

I sent my now ex partner to this facility for the second time in two years in March. Upon entering the facility the yoga teacher employed there immediately started an intimate relationship with him. Not only is this morally wrong and unethical. It s also an abuse of a position of trust to engage in a relationship with the clients especially those who are new in sobriety. In the event he relapses who is liable?
Prior to sending a son or spouse to this facility please be aware this was my experience which was completely unprofessional. Treatment centres should not allow staff to date the clientele as it poses a significant safety risk to the clients sobriety, physical and mental well-being. I don t wish for any other family to have this kind of experience due to the clear lack of professionalism and ethics displayed by this organization.
I have had the privilege of witnessing the unbelievable transformation of many men who have come through TWC. The beginning phase when they come in empty, broken and wrought with despair is so sad to see but the following stages they go through are amazing. Better than any cocoon to butterfly time lapse. First they sneak around trying to be invisible. Next, as Jesse breaks down their ice walls in stabilization they begin chatting on their way by. Soon they are buzzing around helping the newcomers and volunteering their time in the office. They go from husks to super heroes in just a few short months and it s inspiring to watch it as it unfolds.

Before coming to TWC, I was anxious, apprehensive & scared to come into this facility. Filled with hopelessness & despair. I walked through the doors, only to be welcomed by everyone with a lot of love and support. Through participating in the programming, I've learned a lot about my addiction and why things are the way they are. When I came in I had no confidence around being able to stay clean, not knowing if it would work or not. I can now say that is totally different, I have more hope around being able to stay clean than ever before as I am filled with hope about a positive future. This is the first time taking recovery seriously, with doing so I am in shock with how much life can change once the principles of recovery are implemented within daily life. I am very grateful and glad to have came here. I don't know what id do without this place, It helped save my life & rebuild family bonds and relationships. Also allowed me to rebuild a relationship with myself and learn to love my self again.

Twc is amazing, from the very begging I had reservations, but from the moment I walked in the door the staff was very welcoming, engaged me in a way that made me instantly feel like i was a family member, any concerns that came.along the way were addressed in ways that could only.be describe as friendly and loving, through my journey any transitions from early stage to moving to a 1.5 house were easy in a sense that if I had any concerns they were addressed promptly , I consider twc family and through my stay I truley consider it home, with my weekend pass I found myself coming in just to hang out as it is completly comforting to be around everyone
They said they were non 12 step and lied .and took as much money from veterans affairs as they can. They have no morals. Ask them about they run oceanside residence.
This recovery centre is the place for any man who is done with suffering in addiction. The facilities are adequate. The food is delicious. The programming and community are at the level of places twice as costly. I have, and will continue to recommend this solution for men who want a better life.
My experience has proven to be quite challenging, due to my lack of commitment and spirit, after getting over those hurdles. I have begun to experience many rewards of recovery. I feel weight has been lifted off my shoulders, Im happy, starting to love myself. Enjoying the freedom of being sober. The staff here are very supportive and very helpful. They have become my pillar to lean on when im in a dark place.
Just finished 90 days of treatment. This program literally saved my life. It honestly gave me the tools I need to live a happy productive life outside of addiction. I came here thinking that they were just going to teach me how to stop drinking and drugging, but I found out it was much deeper than that. They taught me how to live. The support you get from the team was unreal, they truly care about you here. They give you a family. This program has been the best thing that has ever happened to me.

Together We Can as a whole is a great organization, I say this for many reasons.
I have been to treatment a couple times with this being the third and I had not had such a fulfilling experience with the treatment aspect until now.
The other places that I have been to were good but comparative to TWC not even close to as amazing as this place.
The staff are not only compassionate, they truly care & are doing all that they can to ensure you succeed, however that looks they are able to direct you in the proper areas of life to obtain and maintain a purposeful & productive life that I am very grateful & thankful to have now.
I wouldn't be the man that I am today without TWC.

TWC was extremely beneficial to me. Together we can changed my life in a positive way. Being at this recovery center felt like I was attending "recovery college". As a Substance Use and Addictions Specialist in the field I am fortunate to be able to refer clients to Together We Can (TWC) in Vancouver for treatment. Clients would then come back to Victoria to their own home or stay for a period of time in the TWC second-stage residence in Victoria. TWC has a dynamic team of employees both in Vancouver and Victoria. Often when I have that window-of-opportunity with certain clients - I am able to get them into TWC almost immediately. They are an in-patient treatment facility first and foremost, but their level of customer service and attention to detail is remarkable. I work closely with and have visited their facilities in Vancouver several times and the energy is electric.

twc was very welcoming and supportive from the moment i got here, all i had to do was ask and all of my needs were met. i love that after a 90 day stay they have an aftercare plan so that people like myself can ease back into society without jumping back in and getting overwhelmed, increasing my likely hood of a full recovery.
Together We Can gave me a life today. I was able to work the 12-Steps and explore alternative therapies such as meditation, music therapy, and other things.
Have nothing but good things to say about this place and still do today I went through in 2005 and it was a great experience and have not looked back since do the program like they ask and you will not have any problems or get kicked out of the program like Jeremy Braun did non comply goodbye.

After battling addiction for the past 20+ years, I finally was able to smash all the reservations I had in order to move on to a happy clean and sober life. This is round # 8 for me in residential treatment centers, and I sincerely think I now know quite a bit now about addiction treatment programs. This is my 3rd time here at Together We Can and the reason I came back here is because I was able to reach 18 months of sobriety at my last stay. Their program was by far the best in the country back then(2013) but now, it's a whole new ball game. They have drastically improved the program, added a significant amount of workshops and acquired more bed space in order to respond to the increasing number of drug related death and save more lives, because it's exactly what matters here at Together We Can. I can't thank enough all the staff, that by the way, have been clients here at one point for the most part. Also it's important to mention the huge amount of support health professionals that come to the center to provide extra services(Acupuncture, Chiropractic, Art Therapy, Neurofeedback Therapy, Guided Meditation, Anger Management, and the list goes on and on). Also a special thank you to the director Stacy Wilson who has dedicated his life to saving thousands and thousands of people and continues to amaze us all. Today I feel strong about my recovery and with the support of Together We Can, I have no doubt that I will never have to drink or use drugs ever again. I came through Together we can in the fall of August 2018 and spent 100 days and one of there wonderful houses. Coming in staight off of the street i had no idea what to expect , I was blown away, from the minute i walked in the door i was treated with the utmost respect and welcomed like they were actually happy to see me . Over the next 3.5 months i attended group programs with several different facilitators and on the weekends enjoyed activities such as go carting or going to the aquarium, which helped to build friendships with the other guys in the house. Several of which i am still friends with today. I can honestly accredit TWC to saving my life and saving the relationship between me and my parents . They were willing to show me love until i was able to love myself again. Thanks TWC!!! Together We Can is precisely the type of organization that I would love to see more of around this beautiful city. The staff, and clients, are carefully tending to the needs of people who are struggling with life and have a glimmer of willingness to change things around and become who they have always longed to be. I myself have been touched by the spirit and good conscience of the center and, with honest guidance from peers, I have been able to build the foundation for a life that I always dreamed of for myself. If there is one thing that TWC has to offer addicts, it is hope where there usually was none.
