Smaller venue which makes for a nice concert experience. Friendly & helpful staff.
It depends on who you are seeing I saw Jeff Dunham the show was fantastic
Prices are OUTRAGEOUS! Staff is rude and not helpful. Saw a few concerts here and the audio and acoustics are terrible for an overpriced event, you can hear the band but can't tell what singers are saying. Been here multiple times, only ever had a good experience for a hocky game... maybe they should just stick to hocky...
We saw monster jam there. The facilities are nice but a bit small for a monster jam show. Everything was clean and neat. Parking is ample and close by.
Kind of a pain to park at, get into and out of and get refreshments if you sit on the floor for a concert.
Venue good for shows, but security by the seats needs improvement. People smoking weed and 2 fights broke out in the section I was in, security slow to respond.
I go to Ariana Grande concert and it was a great experience. Perfect seat good view.
Seats are a bit confined but its a stadium. Overall not bad.
Great venue, security was great w/o being over bearing and intrusive. Clean restrooms and well lit parking garage attached!
Went here with family to see Trans-Siberian Orchestra last year. The performance was amazing (5 stars for TSO); BUT THIS REVIEW IS FOR THE VENUE, Times Union Center, where the seating were ridiculously SMALL and STEEP; packed in like sardines! I m NOT a big woman, 5 4 ; seating with this place must have been built by the same people who updated airplane seats! Definitely the most uncomfortable venue seating I ve ever been in. (seats were too small and steep, if just one person slipped...I don t want to think about it).
I understand it s a business (money), but geez really? You at least should want people to ENJOY their time enough to want to return.
Did a show here everyone was friendly and the arena maintainance crew even helped us out by doing a final cleaning for us
It's a great arena, just a little pricey for food and drinks. But I mean isn't every arena like that? Haha
Enjoyed a great concert by Alan Jackson. What a crowd. Seating is very tight and needs enlarged. Sound was good.
If you're tall, plan 9n having your knees jammed into the seat in front of you. Absolutely no elbow room. Makes for a very uncomfortable time.
is a small venue in Albany acoustics aren't great and they always do the stage and the round which doesn't really appeal but you get some good acts there
I like that they have many sporting events and shows for everyone. The only thing that I don't like is that the food and drink prices are too high. The ticket prices are okay.
The show was terrific! However, the seats were super cramped unless you were on the end of a row. I had to leave my seat for 1/2 of the show and stand outside the draped doorway due to pain in my knees from not having any legroom.
For the most part this place is a good venue to see a concert or a sporting event. There is a pretty good variety of vendors here and the food and drink prices, while high, aren't as bad as what you'd find at a lot of other concert and sports venues. The updates to the TU center are great. It makes it a lot more welcoming and nicer for block parties out front. The sound system here is the one thing that I think they should really consider making better
The Times Union Center was disgusting. It is truly shameful to see how dirty the place was. The floors throughout were sticky and even the bathrooms were a mess. So sad.
Been coming here my whole life, great place to see a show but we definitely miss the hockey this year!!!
Hockey game, concert, or any other entertainment can be found here.
Ok! So, this was my first time there, as a Union member I support the cause. Today we were rocking that place with a sea of Purple , this was an awesome Code Blue rally for healthcare, while dancing to Doug E Fresh, A Taste Of Honey and many others. The arena is great , it's clean, wheelchair accessible, staffs were great. Wven though this was a work related event, I stil had a great time.
Prices are very high. But other than that, clean bathrooms and friendly staff
Expensive beer and if you're 6"0 or taller the seats are not practical
Love the tu. Wish beverages were cheaper and parking was cheaper. But overall great
LOVED seeing Disney on Ice here! I really liked the space, my only complaint was that the bathrooms were on a lower floor, that only seemed to have stairs at our access point.
We had a great time here watching the Siena Saints! The seating was amazing, food and beverages were great, and even the bathrooms were super clean!
It s a nice venue, the reason for three stars is because it s always hot in there for shows, and they have a designated smoking area that is just outside the venue. The smell of hundreds of fans cigarettes fills the entire arena which is unpleasant if not a smoker or have asthma.
Good place parking can be a challenge. Lots of good events and sound in the arena is good too. Food is really pricey and not very diverse but that's most arena food and drink for ya. Will go again.
Great place to see a concert not a bad seat in the house
Good place, concerts sound terrible in here Sound ping pong around and is always way to bass heavy...
Nice place for concert confortable and the audio is good
A large arena center located in the heart of the Capital Region. There is a huge variety of events that perform here. Food vendors are a little on the pricing side, but it's a nice place to go to see a concert or comedy show.
Great arena. Just need more signage for ticket for on call. Not to handicap orientated when you have lower section seats. No conviences. Had to struggle the stairs with bad knees. Otherwise great food and great variety
Audio speakers could be alot better. There is a distortion in the audio quality.
great place to watch events. Make sure to get fresh air if you're watching any event involving motorized vehicles because you can get dizzy from all the fumes but apart from that there is nothing wrong with going here.
Opening night of the Albany Empire 2019 season. It was a great time.
Only downside is the markup on the concession is high. I know that's common practice in areans but would have made the experience a little better
Awesome. Beer costs ten bucks a can, that stinks. Overall it is a good venue
Beautiful venue inside, seems like every seat has an unobstructed view. Wheelchair access wasn't clear, lots of construction, and the elevator smelled strongly of urine.
They could have balance the vocals with the instruments better
Needs more leg room, way too tight, also I barely got to see any of the game due to the Schoharie jr high elementary which kept on making huge lines on the stairs and standing infront of me, but I guess thats what you get when you have the nose bleed seats.
We stopped in to see an arena football game and we had a blast!
It's a really nice venue for large events. You get good views for sporting events.
Don't know the place every well! Go about once a year, an always have a hard time finding the parking garage! Lol
Went to mayor's cup game. Got up close glass seats. Watched RPI win. But besides that I've been going to the T.U.C. my whole life, amazing every time.
Nice arena. They do sell beer at around 12 to 13 dollars for a medium cup from on tap or for a pint-sized can (a tall boy). They have a smoking section which is outside but at least they have that because if you leave the arena for any other destination you won't be allowed back in, or so I was told, but they seemed serious about that rule.
You would think they never had a big crowd before. Security was painfully slow and many missed the beginning of the show. The seats are horribly, painfully uncomfortable with NO leg room. Disappointing.
The front of the building was recently renovated and it looks great
Only been there once. Security wasn't worried about checking us when we entered which I found odd. Drink prices are astronomical $14 for a $1.19 tall boy beer. Not a bad place. Theres a parking garage right next door but seems like you have to get there super early for a spot. Would definitely go again.
Nice arena but the parking situation is horrible. Even where there were spots available you were told that they were saved for their monthly people. We were told by one parking attendant that we needed to get there by 6:30 am for an event that does not start until 9am. He however would be willing to save us a spot if we wanted to pay him.
