This is our second time camping here, and we absolutely love it! Our first time camping, we rented a primitive site and had a great time with our two oldest boys...between the jumping pad, pool, paddle boats, playground, fishing, and activities, we were busy all weekend long. This time we rented a bare bones cabin, since we had the two older boys and our toddler. Due to a mix up with reservations, we actually got bumped up to the Little Bear cabin, and WOW! Next time we will definitely book this cabin! It's perfect with the kids, in close proximity to the office, pool, volleyball courts, playground, and jumping pad. The staff are all super friendly and accommodating, the grounds are well kept, and by 10 pm all our neighbors were fairly quiet and settled in. Five stars all the way for this place!

Lots of activities and nice amenities here. Mini golf, bounce pillow, playground, paddle boats, pool, fishing and more. If the bathrooms (and especially the showers) cleaner, I'd give it 5 stars.

First visit this weekend. Tons of activities for kids on Saturday, however, pool was closed at 2 pm for a "ladies only" party. I'm fine with a ladies only party, but did they really need to close the pool for 6.5 hours to accommodate it? A few hours in the evening seems sufficient.

Also, the music at the party, which was playing quite loudly, was NOT family friendly. For example, the lyrics for one of the songs were "You're a B*tch, but I love the way you f**K me!"

We were just a few spots down from the pool, do my 5, 7, and 9 year old kids heard every word! When I went to the office to complain, they seemed not to know it was happening (the lyrics, not the party).

The sites: Really crammed together. Very little shade. No fire rings. Septic needs to be pumped (constant smell of sewage), water has a foul odor.

Rule enforcement: next to none. 1030 quiet time is NOT enforced. Small kids zipping around on golf carts with no adult. There were even people zipping around in go carts and ATVs!

Roads: Mostly unpaved. Considering no one observes the 5mph speed limit, everything is covered in dust from the roads.

Checkout time is at 1 pm. Check in time is at 3, yet at 1230 there was a couple already harrssing us to leave because they were in our spot next.

Overall, the kids had fun even though they learned some colorful language. However, with the lax rule enforcement this place is a serious accident waiting to happen and NOT at all worth the nearly $40 per night.

THIS PLACE SCARES THE LIFE OUT OF ME. THE TRAFFIC THAT DRIVES THROUGH THE CAMPGROUNDS DOES NOT OBEY THE TRAFFIC SIGNS AND ACT AS IF EVERYONE AT THE CAMPGROUND IS IN THEIR WAY. THERE ARE KIDS ALL OVER THE PLACE AND YET THE TRAFFIC OUT ON THE MAIN ROAD RACES. THEY NEED TO PUT DOWN SPEED BUMPS AND LOTS OF THEM.

Ugh. Disappointed! Most primitive camping withOUT any hookups cost $10 this place charges $20 per tent/5 ppl which would be fine if they would take care of their stuff.. no trash cans anywhere. Most of the paddle boats are broken my sister actually sunk and had to swim to shore. The porta potties were literally full of s*** without toilet paper and NASTY! (poop on walls/ trash everywhere) A friend of mine called up to report it and it was never cleaned the entire weekend we were there!!! The playground has so many potholes my children kept tripping in them. Big, Deep holes.. They offer a lot to do but it is very ill kept and there isn't "powerwheels" like The website says. The swimming pool is very small. I don't understand why they're charging so much when they don't even take care of the place it has GREAT potential but look around, see if you can find something before else coming here. The place doesn't match online description...

The park is under new management these last three years and they are great!

The park is pretty, the pool is perfect, the bathrooms and showers are spotless, but best of all, the owner (and management team) are very friendly and helpful. There's a laundry as well as a very comprehensive kids playground area.

I am 800 miles into a five state bicycle journey and I've stayed at quite a few campgrounds lately in a very small tent. Most have lovely scenery but skimp on the annual cleaning of the shower facilities. This one is cleaned every day and it shows.

I highly recommend this park.

Really cool place to camp! Fun for all ages.everone we met was very nice, and knew how to have a good time. Laid back common sence kinda rules, made for a real feeling of freedom, unlike many state parks an certain private campgrounds that make you feel like you are constantly being watched. We have our own toilet an shower in our travel trailer,an did not use the public one, so can not comment on the condition. We had a nice spacious site some of the others did seem a bit tight. My daughter enjoyed playing on the old school playground equipment. Plenty of fun still happening till well after midnight,They also do a big golf cart parade on weekends at 10pm, with what looked to be like 50 carts all light up, with flags an radios an horns going, was really a neat sight to see. Probably not the place to go for you, if you are a germaphobe, or love to wear useless cloth masks on your face, but i had a blast an Would definitely recommend, and will definitely go back again.

I would not tell anyone to camp at timberline. People run around in glofcarts, fourwheelers and cars drinking, being loud and running throhght campsites. They don't even look to see if there are kids running around. People are loud until two or three in the morning. There are kids about five or six driving around on glofcarts by themselves. This place might say family fun, but I wouldn't bring my family there.

I use to come here as a kid. It was great. I use to camp primitive and it was great. Now it's not so great. It's run down and feels very homley.

The golf cart / utility cart / 4 wheelers driving all around at high speeds do not help. Clearly a good ol' boy situation. Security at night gave me a chuckel as he told me upon entering not to go over 5 mph. Clearly that applied to me alone.

There is a nicer rv camp ground out near El Paso. Stay there. I am sad to say this is a campground that I will now avoid.

This place is a dive, I would never stay here again. They have loudspeakers on the campground and constantly talking on them. The pool is small and overcrowded, the grass needed to be mowed, and drunk people riding around on golf carts at 10:30 at night. This campground has a lot of potential, but it is not maintained well or managed very well.

The campground is dirty and unkept. The spots are very close to one another too. There was a Trump 2020 merchandise stand open on my last visit there, you can decide if that is a pro or con for you. Rules, what rules? Do what you want, when you want here. Again, you decide if that's good or bad.

We come here a few times every summer and always have a good time. I've never had any issues. But this year I came for my birthday and my mother paid for my kids and I to rent a little cabin. It's a square wooden room with a bunkbed and a More

Super packed Thursday through Sunday. Loud people loud golf carts and side by sides driving around all night. The pool is always too packed to enjoy.
If your looking for a weekend place to party, then this is for you. If your working in the area and need a place to add stay, avoid this place, you will get no sleep.

I did not like this campground at all. Spot was very unlevel. Don't come here unless you want to hear golf carts driving by all the time. Everyone has their own golf carts and they all drive by drunk and reckless playing loud music, flashing their lights, and honking their horns all day and night. Also there were many drunk people yelling in the middle of the night and partying. There are also many permanent sites filled with garbage, it's a total dump. I even saw wild chickens running around campers. This is not a place to bring children.
