We used to love this hotel. Have stayed many time and enjoyed the fun pool area. I now have 3 children and this hotel makes it incredibly inconvenient to stay with children. They claim the 2 queen room is max 3 capacity and that I must pay full pricw for 2 rooms. For a hotel that seems family friendly its unreasonably expensive for the value received.

Nice place. I'm a truck driver and my schedule doesn't fit their normal check in and out times. Got there at 10:30am and got me right in a room so I could get my 10 hour break and sleep and I wasn't bothered once by housekeeping or anything. That's priceless for guys like me. Plenty of room to park a truck too.
The staff is amazing. Very helpful to a stranger like me from the south. The owner can be seen most everyday and he personally came up to and welcomed to to his lodge. I love this place.
I've been staying at this hotel for years and it's always been wonderful. But this year the staff made the visit even more enjoyable! They were friendly and helpful, and I was impressed by the cleanliness of the breakfast area, including the social distancing and safety strategies they employed. Working with the public can be challenging - especially during Covid - and I would like to extend special thanks to Amber and Zach at the front desk for the kindness they exhibited. Looking forward to my next visit!
A little old but a great hotel in the area! Stayed here 3 times while traveling for work and will continue to keep this one at the top of my list. The breakfast is delicious too!
Had our wedding here and they were awesome about it all. The owner even partook in the dirty work which is rarely seen with any bigger business like that. We had an outside wedding and the ceremony was beautiful and the reception set up was really nice as well. 4 stars instead of 5 because of the bartender. As much as we paid, she could've given me at least 1 free drink but she was kinda short with me and made me pay, so I didn't tip her once as a result.
Bride and groom should always drink for free.
Aside from that it was great.
Also, watch your decorations, because someone broke some of our wedding decor while we were all dancing. That was pretty disappointing, but I don't feel Timberlake should be blamed for it.
In conclusion, I would have my wedding here again, but I would demand free drinks for the bride and groom.. and maybe a more patient bartender.
Best hotel to stay on the iron range. You will not find better rooms, restaurant or professional staff anywhere else unless here. duluth or Brainerd are the closest cities I've found that have comparable hotels.
The pool is awesome. Frog slide for little kids and big water slide for big kids!
My only complaint is that they have not had the big slide in operation during our stay on more than one occasion. We weren't informed this would be the case when we booked the room, so I had a couple really disappointed kids..
Make sure to ask about that if it's something you hope to utilize.
Request a room with a double headed showers! Gorgeous!
We had our room changed 3 times not by our choice. They told me that someone that was staying in our room had there stay extended and they needed to switch our room. The person who called was rude about needing to change our room. The air conditioner in our room definitely didn t work. We were staying for a wedding reception we attended and it was an awful experience. I definitely won t be staying here again.
I LOVED MY FIREPLACE & LARGE JACUZZI SUITE! I give the room and hotel staff 5 stars for their great customer service. The bed was comfortable, the shower for two with the body spray option was fun! The Jacuzzi/Hot tub for 2 was relaxing and delightful. I loved sitting by the fireplace on the loveseat and watching TV.
I took 1 star off for their food situation. - My hot Walleye dinner being served room temperature, almost cold by the time it got up to my room. The potatoes were cold as well. However, it still tasted decent. - The card in the room said breakfast on the weekends is served until 10:30am. They stopped service at 9AM! Apparently the informational card was outdated and should have been removed from the room, months ago!!! I was left disappointed and hungry. - The bar was closed for a private event so I wasn't able to enjoy that either. Room service wouldn't bring drinks or beers up. I had to go down a few times to get what I wanted. (I should have just gone to the liquor store down the street instead.)
I would love to go back and stay for another weekend!
