Very GOOD work culture, well canteen facilities for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Good accommodation facilities for outsider and main attraction of TIFR is location and sight seen and well maintained, must visit.

I would say it's very nice place many of our science researches are being carried out here and it's locates in colaba Mumbai on the sea side . I visited many labs and saw the research activity there which was quite interesting . They have a nice sea side facing area which is the best part there . I liked my visit and would like to visit again .

Nice little research institute; has a proud history, although the present situation is not as great. Ugly and arrogant bunch of people around.

Visited here for PhD interview. Pleasant weather, facing the sea. 25 minutes bus ride from CST. There are 13 laboratories smaller than IIT Roorkee but stocked well! Seems like a premier research facility. I couldn't visit the hostel facility. Security was tight as it looks like military area.

This is my alma mater. I've been a PhD student here. Academically, one of the most reputed research institutes in India. In terms of scenic beauty, unparalleled -- Private sea-face and a view of Marine Drive. This place is a nestled away in a quiet corner of South Mumbai, a 10 min cab ride from Colaba and all the bars yet with gardens of its own where wild birds and squirrels wander about.

There is a great atmosphere in the Institute and there is also an atmosphere of studies, as soon as you come to this campus, you also feel like studying because the atmosphere here is very good.

One of the premier institute in India. Dr Bhabha put lot of thought in its design and construction. Some of the things I like are- seaview cafeteria, seashore, beautiful mural painted by MF Hussain himself, art gallery and auditorium. If you visit the place, don't miss the huge mural near library called Bharat Bhagyavidhata. It was painted by MF Hussain.

I was lucky that in 2011 I got the opportunity to enter TIFR for giving interview for PhD program in DBS facility. It is a research oriented truely world class facility placed in a picture-perfect awesome location beside arabian sea.
