Came in on a whim to check out their snowboard gear and left with a new board. Would recommend as they were friendly and very helpful when I let them know what I was looking for. Definitely scheduled appointment because the shop is small!
Poor level of attention to their online business. Lost package in mail. No level of customer service. No email response. Phones don t pick up. Had to just file a chargeback. Terrible shop
A cool spot with a wide variety of gear. It's like candy shop for the skates and boards.
I had a fantastic experience at Thuro. The staff were very helpful and squeezed me in with no appointment. They had some great sale prices and a pretty large inventory for the size of the shop. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for equipment for skateboarding, snowboarding, ice skating, roller blading, scooters, and more. All the accessories too.
Used to love this ordering from here. Their response by email and over the phone was prompt and staff was super friendly.
Not so much from my last order. After a week passed, my tracking never updated past USPS "shipping label created, awaiting item." I called and was told over the phone that they've been catching up with orders and to give them another day. I gave them two days before calling again to notify that there were no updates and to cancel my order. I was informed and assured that my package was packed and just waiting for USPS to pick it up.
I had been redirected to someone else to and informed them to cancel my order because it was still in their possession, but the person I spoke with refused to. Instead, he told me to "wait for the package to arrive and decide if I wanted to ship it back." At this time, I repeated that I wanted to cancel and avoid any further shipping costs. I was told, "after you get the package, contact us and we'll figure something out."
I'm familiar with their policies of exchanges, restocking fees and that they won't refund any shipping costs for returns. But, I've already tried to contact them and I know they've avoided contacting me after I've already called and emailed them.
Sucks, because I had great experiences with them but they really mishandled this as well as multiple opportunities to correct this issue.
One of the coolest shops I've seen and we're more than happy to help out the smaller guys than the huge corporations. Great team of knowledgeable staff and they were more than happy to explain/answer all the dumb newbie questions I had. Highly recommend!
Great selection and they know their stuff, but Covid restrictions mean you can t really browse or even get a same day order fulfilled quickly. (They made an exception for us, for which we are grateful). Highly recommend over Zoomiez, just know you ll need a little patience with them until Covid restrictions are lifted.
As a female, and as someone newer to skateboarding, I would not recommend this shop. At least one of the workers was condescending and rude. I appreciate they are busy, but definitely not worth my time of effort.
I Called over to see if they had any decks in stock, they said yes to stop by they had a quite a few options in stock but would have more online. I did stop over and appreciate that they showed me the one 8.5 they had in stock...
When I was asking the man working with me if he had others in the size, another worker kept chiming in from the back to tell me the board was worth it and that he told me over the phone that there were more options in the online store. When I said that I was looking for something else than the one they had, the worker In The back started talking bad about me to another worker ...in an open layout shop where I could easily see and hear him.
I appreciate that they were open for me to stop by, I don t appreciAte being spoken about as if I am a child or dense when I am standing right there. The man I was working was helping me just fine, and had the other man not been condescending from the back, perhaps I would provide a better review. Again, As a female, as someone newer to skateboarding, it is not worth my time to go back.
Devin was very polite and knowledgeable of the skating industry and what to recommend, however when a problem arose immediately following the purchase, it turned to a disaster trying to solve it. One of my straps broke instantly after spending $200 on my new blades. This was obviously very frustrating. I called back the shop and politely asked for them to send me another strap ( a simple cheap piece of plastic). "Yeah we got you" was Devin's response. So I respond with a simple, "ok can I have a confirmation of that/ when can I expect it by?"
Devin was unable to answer these questions and began stumbling over his own words and "umms". He never intended to send me another pair just simply wanted to get me off the phone as I was clearly becoming a frustrated customer. Later in the conversation I found out I would have to email the company and go through the chain of higher ups to have a $10 strap shipped to me that snapped off the initial purchase to begin with.
I typically do not take the time to write reviews such as this, however this experience was so 0 to 100 in terms of a negative business transaction and how you interact with people.
Good wheels, cheap plastic boots, sub-par customer service.
