The coffee was delicious but staff didn't announce it was ready, it sat on the counter for a moment until I approached and asked if it was mine. The atmosphere was nice, I would recommend coming here and if I'm ever in the area I plan on visiting this establishment again.

This nice tucked away coffee house is so chill! They have lofi music playing and the general atmosphere is very relaxing. This is the perfect place to just chill, grab coffee and work on your business.

Spency and very limited parking, but good enough place to be mostly tolerant of these issues. It's like, "hey let's meet at Thunderbird!". "Great idea!" Followed by an, "Oh. Yeah. This is why I prefer Jiffy Lube."

I m willing to walk twenty minutes for the reward of being here with a cup of anything and a bite of one of the other things. Then stay to work on a project. This place makes my writing life wonderful. It s clustered with some of the best food place in East Central Austin, and right across from East Side Cafe and it s walkable garden. Walkable and surrounded by places to walk to eat after a coffee fueled productive morning in the middle of just where your friends come by. Never had so many chance meetings in my life.

Super laid back environment, good place to study or come with a friend. Pretty large inside space and large outdoor patio, has good food selections in deli counter but a little on the pricy side. located right off the bus line so easy commute for college students. I suggest the dirty chai

I much prefer this one to the 2222 location. Large outdoor patio, friendly service, good drinks and food, clean. It's overly air-conditioned and the music is loud, but it's open late, and if you plan to stay out past midnight, Bennu Coffee Shop is just a block or two away.

I loved loved LOVED the Honey Nut Latte. It actually taste like the name suggests. So delish. Then I had the Tomato Basil. It was very savory but I would have liked to see a thicker sandwich. Not very filling. I think I should have gone with the basic grilled cheese but overall it was a mouthwatering experience. Would come again and refer friends!

Coffee + Beer, two of my favorite things. This thunderbird location has a much larger and better designed outdoor area than it's counterpart on Koenig. You'll see alot of people hunkered down with their laptops, both in and outside, but can usually find a free picnic table for a group to gather, I haven't tried the food yet but their salads look great! One of my new favorite places to spend some time relaxing outside.

I know nothing about coffee. Nothing. However, every time I order from Thunderbird, the staff treats me as if I am a royal coffee connoisseur:
"Large drip coffee? Excellent choice! Coming right up!"
Their genuine enthusiasm for the craft of a perfect cup of coffee is contagious.
Thunderbird is a great place to work, or socialize while enjoying coffee that will keep you going for hours.

I really enjoyed my afternoon Mocha today at Thunderbird Coffee. The location is a little lacking on parking but was spacious, beautifully decorated, and comfortable with a friendly staff. Great spot for an afternoon chat and caffeine fix.

I love coming to Thunderbird to study/work! The building has lots of windows and good lighting. The tables are long and spacious, the music they play is good, and they have great coffee and food. I come here about 2-3 times a weeks and I love it!

Thunderbird is a really cool coffee joint to hang out and chill at. I'm not a coffee drinker so I can't comment on that per se...but I am a Wifi and Internet junkie and coffee places are the venue of choice when lounging. Their pastries are fresh and delicious...and the staff are always really nice. They have plenty of open spaces with tables, couches, and stools. I enjoy this part of central Austin and Thunderbird is a big reason.

How can you tell if a place has great coffee? Follow the hipsters and the americanos will appear. This cute little coffee shop is a great place to catch up with a friend, get some work done, or just relax and enjoy the music. It feels like everyone's favorite neighborhood coffee shop, as if you won't be kicked out after 30 minutes. I'd recommend trying the Greek salad and the selection of Cuvee coffee-- very fresh and reasonably priced.

Ok !!

The food here is really great, but the coffee is eh. Its okay. When I went, it got a sandwich, which was delicious and a pre-packaged kombucha. The service we really awesome and the sandwich came out speedy. When I left I got an iced coffee. This is where I was let down, the coffee tasted weak. After I left, I had asked my best friend about their coffee and she commented their iced coffee tastes more like weak tea. I have to agree. Go for the ambiance and maybe a beer and sandwich, skip the iced coffee if you can.

I've made it a point to truly explore the coffee shops of Austin and Thunderbird never fails to deliver a perfect combination of deliciously caffeinated beverages, a solid selection of food, and a laid back, inviting atmosphere.

Their chai might just be the best in town but I really love their food. If you are early to rise and have a bit of luck, you can chow down on Taco Deli tacos. That's right, you read me right, Taco Deli tacos. The Jess Special is life affirming. Exaggeration intended. The chipotle chicken sandwich is amazing. And when I'm wanting something less savory, the Giovanni (nutella & honey) is heaven on ciabatta bread.

Thunderbird is great for studying with a big cup of coffee, lounging with friends with a pitcher of Lone Star on the patio, or a quiet cup of chai and people watching. Love the coffee, love the crowd, love the neighborhood. Nothing but love for Thunderbird Coffee.

The parking is rough, but the place is cute. This is not a mind blowing place - it is a cute Austin coffee shop, with decent coffee that is a little over priced. But overall this place is pretty great.

I really like this place, but they consistently play a collection of the worst music I've heard outside of a Home Depot. I have nearly left before my order arrived to escape the aural horror. Minus two stars for the music alone.

maybe a 4.5? I like the Koenig location better because it has an awesome tap wall, and while Manor stocks a good selection of local brews, they are all bottles and cans, not on tap. Worse: Manor USED to have taps, but had some kind of issue with them and had to take them out. :( The beer selection IS good: Don't get me wrong. Its just not the same from the can. Yes: I know Oskar Blues thinks cans are just little kegs. But you have to make beer differently to serve out of a can. Try Deep Ellum from a can, and then on tap. You would not even think it was the same beer. But I digress... This is about the wonder that is Manor Thunderbird.

On the plus side over Koenig location, there is more seating here, both inside and out. Lots more. The outside seating is really cool, under lots of trees, and tables with big umbrellas.

The Coffee in whatever form you take it is still prepared by super-professional baristas who are highly trained and won't serve you something not made right. The baristas rotate between the locations, so you may see one one day in one place, and next day in the other.

Wild Gift is the normal Austin-local micro-roaster that is supplying the beans, and while they are new to the scene, you can't beat their product. No Starbucks-overroasted-have-to-bury-it-in-sugar here. Roasted right. Prepared right. Served right..

You can not say enough good things about the quality or the people here: Clearly the owners value their people, their customers, and the quality of what they serve, be it coffee, tea, food, or beer, and it shows.

Like Koenig location, this is a slice of Austin culture as well as a great place to get caffeinated. If you want fresh microbrew and can make the trip over, Koenig location. Just sayin'

Pretty decent little place. I used to eat the Smoked Salmon sandwitch all the time, and the honey-nut latte is great if you are in the mood for something sweet. They also have occasional live music, and a rotating selection of beers on tap.

This is an awesome place for students, entrepreneurs, and corporate men all alike. It has great coffee, good beer selection and above all else and awesome atmosphere. It has great food but if youre not feeling what they have then hope next door to the many selections of restaurants that are available. A new Mediterranean trailer just openned, its my favorite on the entire manor strip.

One of the best local coffee shops, Thunderbird is a great place to work or study, with lots of seating and a gorgeous outdoor area. The espresso is robust and the house brew delicious, both prepared by a friendly staff who always makes you feel right at home. The food menu is diverse and intriguing, and the salads and sandwiches, while pricy, are nutritious and tasty. The aesthetic is precise: easy listening folky music, succulents on each table, large red coffee mugs, lots of natural lighting, friendly yet focused clientele, craft beer offerings, artfully frothed cappuccinos, family style tables, dog-friendly patio, rusty bike racks a local hot spot. The only downside is the uncomfortably small beverage waiting area. My recommendation is to order a drink, find a seat, then check back at the bar in a few minutes. Apart from that, Thunderbird is near perfection.

coffee is top notch! the owner really knows what's up w/his beans.
staff is, well, super hip. i would marry each & one of 'em. where do they find these kids?!?!
the 1st friday folk showcase has been going on for over a year. some really great austin artists performing inside in the winter/outside in the summer. all brought together by unwed fathers, an amazing austin act. + tons of beer specials! a great time to be had before you hit the downtown scene.

Amazing coffee shop! Visited this place multiple times in the week I was visiting a friend who lives nearby. Large outside area that is dog friendly! Great covid precautions inside as well. Coffee is great and pastries are delicious (try the scones)!

Always one of my #1 go to places to meet new clients, touch base with friends or grab a quick coffee to go. I like the location of both spots. Just waiting for one to open up south of the river :)

This place has the best chipotle chicken sandwich. Sometimes I come here just for that. It also has great coffee and plays good music. A perfect place for working or grabbing coffee with someone. The only drawback is parking can be difficult sometimes.

One of the best places in East Austin to get a Toddy (iced coffee). It's amazing what food they are able to make from their little food prep counter. I have liked everything that I have tried. There are a lot of places to sit indoors and outdoors to either get some work done or socialize.
