The industry needs to reconsider their prices on clothes.
Prices are a bit high. They must feel everyone in Jackson has a lot of money. Plus they never have any percentage off days like other goodwill stores.
Went to look for a baby doll for a elderly lady to hold. Found one. Place was busy.
Staff was nice, friendly, and helpful. Having only 2 dressing rooms was a huge problem the day I was in there. One lady had a cart completely full of clothes pulled up to the dressing room and was trying on everything in her cart. Even poking out with just a bra on with teenagers right there. While another girl was trying on dresses, but still looking for more to try on at the same time. When I asked if she was done, since she wasn't actually in the room, she said no. A fleece jacket that my son wanted was $7.99, which seemed kind of high priced for Goodwill, but other than that, the store was good (not great but good).
Watch the register. You just might get overcharged and then they look at you like you want to rip them off when you come back the next day. I won't ever be back. From James
$1.00 for VHS tapes?! Are you serious? These used to be $.25 or 4 for $1.00 and sometimes on sale for 5 for $1.00.....I think Goodwill is out of touch with it s customer base, I ve seen everything double if not quadruple in price in the past 2 years......I m just curious, your items are donated, and you pay your workers beyond the store manager minimum wage.....So how do you justify asking what you re asking for items that are used & DONATED? Then your managers act put out when you ask them to sell items at reasonable prices.....I would wake up, you re in the business of selling USED/DONATED items, not asking near retail for every little thing on your shelves. You already have eBay Stores where you sell the DONATED/FREE items for top dollar.
Better prices then most Goodwills. Friendly staff. Much cleaner and we'll maintained then other thrift stores.
Manager on duty was not pleasant. Normally enjoy shopping here, not coming back anytime soon.
Prices are out of control, shop there less and less...... Prices sometimes higher than Walmart, for same name items.....alot of us are taking Goodwill off our shopping stores.
Ganson Str store in Jackson, Mich...clutered...not organized...pleasant cashier...
Nice, clean, and well organized. Like most thrift shops, it is hit or miss. Goodwill has raised its prices, and as others have noted, they get this stuff for free. Sometimes you can buy the stuff cheaper on sale at a retail store. That does not make any sense.
Getting better, also have donations drop off in the back
I love shoping a goodwill me and my husband go in ther once a week,, some times they price things way to high
Love this place and the prices are better than the big box store
Clean (including the restroom) well organized, and employees were helpful. I thought some things were a little pricey but I felt like I got a sweet deal.
They closed their restroom to the public. I had to drive a few miles to find one I could use. Places need to
be considerate of their customers needs if they want us to spend our money with them.
Not sure why everything in here is so much more expensive than the Goodwill is on Argyle. Interesting selection, sometimes we have good finds.
Great store....clean ..friendly ....well organized....good prices....helpful staff.
Typical small Goodwill, sometimes lots of good things.. sometimes nothing really great. Overall good service.
I think it's wrong that your manager's are always telling employees to raise prices to make a quota when 95 percent is donations i think i will let everyone know how crooked you really are and to boycott all goodwills especially the jackson because your prices are way to high
Prices are reasonable it all depends on what you get
Good place to go for used things...but lately has been a bit expensive.
No working phone number (call cannot be completed as dialed)??? for mechanic st.
Same junk different day. I feel the style of management at most goodwill stores in general is lacking comon sense these days. I miss the good old days of shopping here. Please bring them back!
You can say what you want about buying clothes but when you're buying for children and you're on a budget and even buying for yourself this is a great place to purchase slightly used clothes in good condition and claim at a very reasonable price plus it goes to help other two were in more need than we are my hat's off to Goodwill Industries
Same review will be on both Goodwill for Jackson MI as they are both the same. I feel like they may have forgotten the whole point of these stores. This stuff is ALL donated. Cost them NOTHING, why not price things fair? We go to Goodwill stores all over the state just to go when we are in towns and Jackson is by far the most unreasonable for pricing we have ever seen. To where it's almost an ongoing joke with my wife. You can literally buy NEW stuff at like TJ Maxx or Big Lots for the price they want for stuff that's visibly used. I really think it's sad to be so greedy with items the public (us included) is so generously donating to what we feel should be a good cause.
Clothes and shoes are expensive for being s second hand clothing store when everything is donated to them
Very clean and organized, the staff was very friendly and was able to move through a long line very quickly!!
They need motorized shopping carts for people with difficulty walking!!
That used to be a nice place where you could go get a bargain but now it's just like visiting Target prices seem high to me
I love Goodwill. Especially summer time shopping after all the garage sales have brought in their leftovers. Definately some good deals.
Always have new assortment of different things. Great people that greet and help if needed
prices are going skyrocket...most the nice stuff is posted to there online store..which is a RIP off..higher then what u could buy on ebay..the manager at this store is rude as can be..this guys is a millionaire and ripping people off, and paying employee minimum wage. no longer enjoy going there...prices seem like they pull them out of thin air...this is a legal scam..pathetic
Staff is very welcoming and helpful. Selection is very nice
I always seem to find what I have been looking for in the stores at a price that fits my budget better and in good to like new condition.
As much as I like Goodwill, with offering people jobs and all, the pricing on USED goods has gotten rediculous. It is far from "Vintage" as they try to pawn it off on the West Coast.
The folks at this location do a great job at keeping it organized and running (Goodwill's saving grace), but pricing on items company-wide, is moving towards the beginning of the end for them.
