maybe a 4.5? I like the Koenig location better because it has an awesome tap wall, and while Manor stocks a good selection of local brews, they are all bottles and cans, not on tap. Worse: Manor USED to have taps, but had some kind of issue with them and had to take them out. :( The beer selection IS good: Don't get me wrong. Its just not the same from the can. Yes: I know Oskar Blues thinks cans are just little kegs. But you have to make beer differently to serve out of a can. Try Deep Ellum from a can, and then on tap. You would not even think it was the same beer. But I digress... This is about the wonder that is Manor Thunderbird.

On the plus side over Koenig location, there is more seating here, both inside and out. Lots more. The outside seating is really cool, under lots of trees, and tables with big umbrellas.

The Coffee in whatever form you take it is still prepared by super-professional baristas who are highly trained and won't serve you something not made right. The baristas rotate between the locations, so you may see one one day in one place, and next day in the other.

Wild Gift is the normal Austin-local micro-roaster that is supplying the beans, and while they are new to the scene, you can't beat their product. No Starbucks-overroasted-have-to-bury-it-in-sugar here. Roasted right. Prepared right. Served right..

You can not say enough good things about the quality or the people here: Clearly the owners value their people, their customers, and the quality of what they serve, be it coffee, tea, food, or beer, and it shows.

Like Koenig location, this is a slice of Austin culture as well as a great place to get caffeinated. If you want fresh microbrew and can make the trip over, Koenig location. Just sayin'
