Great race track with incredible history. Been to many meetings here over the years, BSB, BTCC, HSCC you name it. Always good viewing and great racing. Recently took my little brother for a young drivers experience where he got to drive a Fiesta ST even though he s only 13. He had great tuition and was driving up and down the gears in no time even managed a reverse park into a cone garage.
I booked a racing day as an experience to share with a very dear friend who is seriously ill. We kept having to cancel due to his changing condition. They were so nice about it and have set it up so that if he has a good day, we can call and see if there are any slots available. I can't comment on the experience yet but their very kind customer service rates at 11/10.

Great circuit which normally has great racing due to it's high speed nature. Always tidy and well kept. It's just a shame you can't get to the far side of the circuit to see the cars on the limit through the fast corners.
Great instructors and super nice people. Day run very smoothly and well. Proper race track which is fast if you get the right lines. Would definitely be going again.
Great circuit with great views of the track from the viewing banks. Only has one main grandstand so go prepared for the weather. The main down side is getting out as they open one gate and with only 1 or 2 marshals to herd hundreds of cars it quickly descends into anarchy.
Beautiful area with a beautiful entrance, inside the circuit is very small with limited views for spectators.However the shop inside was immaculate with a super clean loos much better than most UK circuits.
Have been here quite a few times over the years and always had a blast. However my latest experience felt a little different. Back when I used to come here the site was a very humble, basic setup. It gave a very personal feel to the experience, like each one of you were delivered an individual experience. They now have a large building they use, and whilst being very impressive, we were in a large group and shepherded in and out in a very tight space (absolutely no social distancing possible!) after the briefing when we got to the cars it had a business like, conveyor belt feel to it, like you were just another number that day. Putting 4 people in a ride car at the same time also felt strange given Covid (I didn t think you were allowed or advised?) After that as I was only on a thrill experience (different to the full experience) came almost an hours wait, the lady in charge not really giving me much information and just telling me to come back later . I must say once I finally got to drive the McLaren 570s, it was incredible. But the overall day did feel very hollowed out. I think I may try somewhere else next time.
My son had an hour long tuition session with one of the instructors at Thruxton. Money well spent!
