Don't bring your family here if you love them.
Don't bring your family here if you love them.
1. My mother-in-law was admitted under another name. If I could I would upload the pictures of the wrong bracelet on her that we took. They did not know of her whereabouts for three hours.
2. When we arrived the ignorant, male receptionist told us that my mother in law wasn't there. To our utter panic, he then threatened to throw us out and proceeded to stretch his large overweight arms in front of us, repeating over and over "don't put your hands on me" leaving us shocked and surprised and confused as to what he was talking about.
3. They switched my mother-in-laws doses for her dementia meds from 10 to 20 mg on one and 10 mg to 50 mgs, therefore, over-medicating her to the extent that her personality has drastically changed to the point where she is not speaking and sleeping more than I have ever seen her sleep.
4-The staffs bedside manner is deplorable; they approach my mother-in-law without engaging her, i.e., move her, feed her without speaking to her.
They drop her food off and walk away. Clearly, they have no experience with dementia patients as it relates to how to speak to them, etc.
We have consulted a lawyer and will be filing a complaint to the medical board, the ama, consumer affairs and several other authorities to ensure that they are held accountable for their actions.
Lastly, we are checking her out of this rancid facility and placing her somewhere where she is well taken care of and safe.
