Three pigeons inn

I visited the Three Pigeons Inn in Ruthin while looking for a peaceful camping spot near Snowdonia National Park. Located in the scenic village of Graig-fechan, the grounds offered plenty of space for tents and hammocks, surrounded by fresh air and nature. While the setting and the welcoming staff—who shared great tips on local hikes—made for a lovely atmosphere, the dining experience was a letdown. As a steakhouse, the food didn’t quite hit the mark; the Welsh rarebit was underwhelming, and the portions felt small for the price. The traditional evening with live music was a nice touch, but the mediocre cuisine prevented me from fully recommending the place for a meal. Still, the tranquil surroundings and warm hospitality made my stay memorable, even if the food wasn’t up to standard.
