If you are looking for a role in Aberdeen, Thorpe Molloy should be your first port of call. I had the best experience here with my consultant Callum who took the time to know me, and find out exactly what I was looking for instead of just giving me roles which suited my CV, especially as I wanted something different from what I had done before. We had a great relationship and I felt really comfortable giving Callum a call for some advice or some reassurance. His colleagues were also extremely helpful in his absence. Staff are friendly enough, no real support just email saying there is a vacancy and then never hear back as to why I never got the job so nothing for me to improve upon. Been with thorpe Malloy 7 months now and this is been it from the start, no interviews, no real tangible support just the odd email with a vacancy. I understand I'm not the only client but to me it feels like they are happy enough with who ever gets the job.
The person I was dealing with was friendly and professional to a point, but I was told it would be 2-3 weeks and I would hear back about a job vacancy. 7 weeks later, I get an email explaining I was unsuccessful. No apology for the delay, no explanation for the delay.
My opinion, I was hesitant to use this company to begin with. I won't be using them again. Poor and unprofessional service.

I finished my studies and I was looking for an entry level job. I saw a lot of jobs advertised on their website every week, which they would never send me. When I emailed Callum about those jobs he would always say that they are not jobs suitable for me because of the experience, but I know for a fact some of them were, since once of my classmates who graduated with me was sent by Callum jobs every week for entry level. I was always sent copy pasted emails saying that Aberdeen has been quieter than usual in my field. I believe they were discriminating me, since my previous experiences were even more suitable for those roles than my classmate. Will never go back to them.
