This is a reasonable school for all standard students. The moment this school has to provide certain care - and it deviates from a standard - then you are on a sloping surface. Certainly in the area of the social-emotional - for example, serious bullying behavior - the school completely fails. It is a shame that this school is showing off with a nice protocol, but it does not act accordingly. School is incapable in this area and completely leaves behind what it has written and promised. One chooses, as in many cases, the path of least resistance and therefore goes for group. It is up to the bullied child who has to change. She did not eat any cheese with regard to group dynamics. In my opinion, this school has completely failed and I advise everyone to think very carefully before you choose this.

I think about Aunt Tineke lately. I don't know if she was my aunt, but there is no one else to ask. At a family celebration she had once offered to come by and after two postcards it was arranged.

She lived in Uzes, a medieval village in Provence. Bart and I arrived with her interrail passes. We were men of the world, with backpacks and homemade shorts.

Her house was narrow and high and stood on the city wall. It was very hot, but the old rooms were cool.

She was small, tan, and had a granite jaw that contrasted with her thin gray page hairstyle. From her I learned that there were also green Gauloises that I had to buy at a Tabac. We put some money in the pot and she cooked things we didn't know, ratatouille, stuffed zucchini flowers. She poured wine from a jerry can, so we drank heavily. Just like Aunt Tineke, who turned around at the end of the evening and pulled out the pot of money so that coins rolled everywhere. Her legs stretched out like children in a sandbox, she said: "What are you wearing really nice pants."

The school is partly a bit like a prison camp, not literally meant but it is in that direction ... most teachers show no respect for the students at all, many teachers just look for a few videos and let you out of your book work and call it "teaching." The school also has good sides of course but I can't name them. The teachers also do not adhere to their guidelines that they should have checked a test within a week, and if the students have not finished their homework, it is to be complied with.

I would like to write a review about this school because the media is always so positive about it and I, along with many, disagree with that at all. I only speak for VWO as I do this level myself. The school itself is not beautiful, but also not terribly ugly. What I do find annoying is that there are too few seats at this school. The school received a lot of media attention for its good success rate. This percentage is also not surprising since anyone who cannot handle the material partially is immediately sent to another level. I would also call the way of teaching at this school special. Teachers would rather ram the material into it than actually take the time for it. By the way, if you come from another school, then this school is not for you at all, as thorbecke likes to make everything even more difficult by adding something ridiculous that absolutely does not come into your exam, but mss ever handy can be at the uni. The teachers at this school could be divided into
1. The teachers who do not think along with you at all, do not tolerate contradiction and who ram the material into it (60%)
2. Too young teachers who have just left school (20%)
3. Kind and cooperative teachers (20%)
Also, this school cannot plan very well. They will probably first send you 8 emails with different dates a day in advance and then say on the day itself that it actually only starts tomorrow. If you like school outings by the way, you are lucky if you go to Walibi or something once a year because they do not do exchanges as they probably cannot plan that. I absolutely CANNOT recommend this school
