I have always had great service here. My beautician is always on-time for our appointment and she can work with my naturally curly hair. There is also a friendly text or phone call reminder of the appointment time, as well.

I've always loved this salon for many reasons. This new location feels different, but it is still the quaint, cozy and the personal feeling that each staff member has always made each one feel special. They are always professional and as always very knowledgable and listens to what the customer is looking for. I love going there and am excited to see what the new adventure of the awesome Thomas Scott Salon has yet to surprise us all with! I love all the staff and love walking in with all smiles and leaving looking and feeling great!!

I love coming to Thomas Scott Salon and Spa. I always ask for Alex and he does a wonderful job every time. I trust him with my hair needs and I feel wonderful when I leave the Salon. I'd definitely recommend it to friends.

Went as a walk-in for a last minute massage. Not available but they suggested a Facial and fit me in last minute. Great staff! Low-key, not condescending. Warm, friendly, understanding! Wonderful place!

My hairdresser Alex does an impeccable job for my haircut . I have been a loyal customer since 2 years and alex always comes up with new recommendation of hairstyles based on season and current style.

Every experience at Thomas Scott Salon & Spa has been amazing. Every service from massage to working with their talented stylists are nothing less that incredible. Thomas Scott is the only place I will go.

I walked in to make an appointment and they were able to fit me in. The customer service was very friendly and Alexis did a wonderful job cutting my short hair (and if you mess up short hair, there is nothing else to do but wear hats and look like a newspaper boy)! They also offer spa services, which I plan on checking out in the future!

I ve been getting my hair done at Thomas Scott for 10 years, all because of a thoughtful gift. Lorraine is AMAZING! I m so thankful to the wonderful person who gave me that gift card many moons ago.

Love Thomas Scott Salon! Rachael, my stylist, is just awesome. They always take such good care of me...love their massages and facials too. Always feel so good after I've been there!

My stylist Megan Clemens is very well trained. She has always diagnosed my style problems and offered solutions which have been very helpful. The pedicure and manicure services are awesome as well as the massage offerings. Prices are competitive with the area but the service is outstanding. I cannot comment on the other stylists as I only use Megan but everyone appears to be pleased with the style and service they received.
Consider joining the Thomas SCOTT Family they are GREAT.

Everyone is pleasant! I've had a shampoo/blow-dry with Eddie 2 times and have been happy both times. Even though my visits were over a month apart, she remembered my sensitivity to products. I have long, dry hair and she is very gentle.

Refused service due to a health condition that would not affect their workers or anyone else in the salon.

Today I had the best haircut i've ever had from Sarah Felton. She does amazing men's haircuts. I'm a fan !

Bad experience. The girl (won t mention her name in hopes It was a learning experience) was very nice and I really liked her but she botched my hair. It was a bad cut that ended up to my cheeks and choppy. When they came over and try to fix I kept saying one side was still longer than the other but was told I was probably seeing things from seeing it too much before and that one side of my head held more hair. Ok. I come home and I should have said for them to wet it there. But I wet my hair and sure enough it was slopey. My husband had to fix it for me. It s not perfect but i will wait for it to grow. I was given the names of the good stylist to go back to. But frankly I m not sure why it had to get to this point. I won t. It s just hair and it will be fine. I m not angry just disappointed for a place with high reviews. Make sure you ask how long your stylist has been working there and ask for the good ones.

I was very displeased with the haircut I got today I had a picture the way I wanted it and It was no where near the picture I had. I understand it would the Exact same , but it should of close to it. I will never come back there again

Went first for a consultation about a perm, hoping that would make me feel better about a hair color that I hated. Met with Eddie who said she would strongly recommend against a perm due to the processes that had been used on my hair previously. I think Eddie could see how discouraged I was about my color and cut. She recommend a cut and a toner that would take care of the horrible (in my eyes) orange-ie color.
I felt such confidence in Eddie's advice that I made an appointment for the following week.
Arrived for my appointment with a little nervousness but ready for a change and, hopefully, an improvement. Eddie took time to explain what she was doing and what I should expect. Long story to a little shorter, I am thrilled with both the cut and the color. The shade is much softer and not shockingly orange. I'm not sure how I would describe it but it is a soft mixture of gray/blond/silver/light brown.
Needless to say, I will be going back to Thomas Scott Salon and having Eddie help me maintain this look.

A little disappointing. The salon could use some updating, especially the bathroom near the nail section. Got a mani/pedi with some friends. Overall, the experience was really underwhelming, the staff members didn't really seem like they wanted to be there, only 1 person out of the group was offered a neck wrap while the rest of us watched, and the polish color selection seemed limited. I definitely had higher hopes based on all of the previous positive reviews.

After MANY years of ponytail and hat, I finally got up my courage to let that all go! I can't say enough good things about my experience with Liz Bull. She listened to my ramblings patiently about what I thought I wanted and then, as she said, "Put the pieces of the puzzle together."
I am now a reformed "do-it-yourselfer" and thrilled with my new do!! Oh, yeah...tossing the hat!!!

DO NOT GO HERE!!! Especially during Covid. They do nkt work well woth essential workers, they mde an appt. Via the website and I came in for my appt and they never made the appt! Thisbis the 2nd time this has happened! They are not professional at all. The lady at the front desk and try to make it seem like it was my fault when I told her the emails confirming the appointment with the girl named Becca also with another female Gwen Zimmerman and they still made it seem like it was my fault and then had to make me wait another hour to get in..... Not professional, not friendly obviously does not care about their clients.

Very difficult to get an appointment here. The last several times I called, there was no availability, and they re not willing to work with your schedule.

Love this place! Alexis is fantastic, always taking my input, making helpful suggestions and providing beautiful results.

I went to Denise, she listens and really works with you. I LOVE my hair cut. The cost is fair. The ladies at front desk are friendly. Over all great experience.

Very unprofessional & rude. I made my appointment to get my nails done and the appointment time was 4:00. I arrived at the salon and was told that they put my appointment down for 2:00 and listed me as a no show. Then I was told that they tried to contact me that afternoon and each call was declined. I declined the call because it said unknown caller with no ID, they did NOT leave me a voicemail for me to know it was Thomas Scott salon calling. I was made to feel like this was my fault, no apology from them what so ever, so after arriving and being treated very poorly I was told that they could not take me for my appointment. I have not been to this salon for a long time and I was very much looking forward to this appointment. Rude and very very unprofessional. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else but here.

I have been going to Thomas Scott Salon & Spa for 15 years; Alex is my Hairstylist/Hair Artist who always knows what I need to have done, especially on those days when I am feeling like I need a pick me up (we've all been there). My 29 year old daughter also went to Alex almost 8 years until she moved away; he did the most amazing hairstyle for her senior prom. I have recommended several people to Alex over the years and they have been very happy as well. The staff is very pleasant making you feel comfortable from the time you walk in the door until you leave. When my mother passed away 11 years ago, Alex sent the most beautiful, amazing flowers! You are not treated like just someone off the street at Thomas Scott Salon & Spa, you are treated like family! They take the time to get to really know you.

We went to Thomas Scott Salon 1 week before my wedding appointment because I wanted to talk with the woman that does my hair and make sure she could do what I wanted. I did not feel confident on the girl that did my hair 'Casey' and I don't know if it was just a bad day or if she just did not care. It was a kind 'whatever'. So, by the day of my wedding I want to the salon and told her I wanted my hair straightened and then curled. And she said "I will do it". When she was doing my hair I asked her, "Are you going to straighten my whole hair?" and she responded, "Oh no, I cannot straighten your hair and then curl it because the curls will not hold". I got frusturated because it was not what I asked. So she did my hair 'Her Way' and asked if I liked it. I said "No" and I could see she did not like my answer because of her expression.

She said she would figure out a way to fix my hair the way I wanted it. She continued to say 'Your hair looks gorgeous, your hair looks great, etc.. So she did my hair. It wasn't totally bad but it was not like the picture that I took to her as an example of what I wanted.

She also did my make up and also I took to her a picture of the make up that I wanted. So she kept saying, "The make up was not like the way that I wanted and I asked her about a kind of make-up and continued to give her opinion about something different like I was supposed to continue to agree. So resuming she did my make-up also and I did not like it. My make up was not what I wanted, my eye shadow was pretty light/white and nothing of my make-up was good. I wanted my face more golden and illuminated but she made it so white I could tell the difference between my face color and the color of the rest of my body. I asked her about a nude lipstick color on my lips and she gave me brown instead. I told her before she finished that I did not like it and she said she would put another color on it that would change it.
But I said 'No I do not want brown lipstick'. She did not like my response again so she cleaned my lips and put on another color.

I asked for touch-up make up to make sure it would last the whole day and night but she said I would not need it because she was sure 100% that it would last long. For me it was strange because every make up artist does this.

My husband called and talked with them that I did not like it and their only solution was to give us a gift certificate 1/3 the total cost of our problem/service.
I'm pretty dissatisfied with the service and I do not recommend anyone goes there.

I got my hair done about two and a half weeks ago. I wanted a rose gold. After the first visit it wasn t rose gold but a raspberry which I didn t mind after three days it washed right out. Then I went back a week later and it was again a raspberry not a rose gold, and it washed out after the first wash. It was brought to their attention and not even one offer to get a refund. I spent $220 (including tip) and shouldn t have to keep going back to get my hair done. I am disappointed that they didn t decide to try and fix this by offering my money back instead of having me continue to try and fix it. Very disappointed. Not very good customer service. I would rather someone say this won t work then keep my head over a sink for 3+ hours.

I have been going to Thomas Scott Salon for over 10 years now. I have only had 1 bad experience there and I was rightfully compensated by them fixing my hair and recieved a gift card for the cost of my hair. Since then I have been having Caiti cut my hair. She is amazing! She always listens to what I like and does a fabulous job. Most of the time I go in and tell her to do anything she wants with it and I always come out looking great.

I came in with a really bad chemical cut and Casey S. was incredibly helpful. She was honest about what would look well on me and what I needed to do to recover my hair from such bad damage (committed by a different salon). The prices can be a little bit on the higher side but it's within reason because the salon is kept very clean and everyone is friendly. I would go back again.

You couldn't find a better place to get your hair done! I get my hair colored and cut with Sarah and she does a fantastic job. I highly recommend this place if your looking for someone who listens to what you want. I was so tired of asking for A trim and leaving with 3 inches missing, not here!

I love coming to Thomas Scott Salon & Spa! I've been coming here going on 4 years and have never had an unpleasant experience. Everyone from the front desk, to the shampoo girls, to the hair stylist's and more are always super helpful, kind, considerate and caring. You can tell Thomas Scott takes pride in their staff with training / keeping them up tp date and empowering them with the skills necessary to help satisfy the clients needs. Truly a great place to create lasting relationships for any of your beauty needs!

I have been here thrice. Once was for a haircut which was with Paige. She is great and very nice. I took a photo and told here to do exactly the same and she did it very nicely. I had a very bad experience with haircut at a different place but after the way she did my haircut I was so happy and fearless and I am coming back to her! I did my nails (gel manicure) there but first time it came out very bad. There was too much polish in the corners like filled balloons and they started cracking and polish were coming out the next day. I called in to tell this problem and they gave me a different appointment with Jackie. She did a great job! She is amazing. Will be back there!

I've been going to Caiti for 5 years now. And I would never go anywhere else. She is the best colorist - a lot of the other hair stylists go to her for her opinion. And she always rattles off some dye number that you have no idea what it is!! She knows the right mix EVERY time. I love her!

Im just going to assume they do a good job, but they need to get rid of the older lady at reception. I called to get a quick average cost on a kids cut. I was barely able to get a word out, so I just hung up while she was in the middle of not helping me. Sorry I didn t make my appointment with you.

I've been going here for 10+ years now and have never had a bad experience. Andrew and Alexis are amazing, but I'm sure there is not one bad stylist in this entire salon. They have fixed some horrible mistakes other salons have made with my hair. The facials are also the best I have ever had anywhere, and for every service, they really take their time to make you feel relaxed and comfortable. Front desk people are also super friendly as well. I live in California now and only get my haircut whenever I come back to Frederick because no salon is as good in quality and price.

Went to the salon to do my nails for the second time yesterday. And it was awful.
First time I did peducure. The buffing was so intense that the specialist cut my skin near the nail. It took a week to cure. The polish was put messy. Parts of my nail weren't covered at all. And it started chipping on the third day.
This time I decided to do manicure as two weeks before I had done shellac and needed to take it off. Nail shaping was done badly. The shape was uneven. Each nail was shorter on one side and longer on the other. The edges of my nails differed as well. Nail polishing was messy. I came home and redid my manicure.
When I go to the salon I expect my nails to be done better than I can do it myself. These two times were just money wasting.

I went for a facial and as always, it was a beautifully relaxing and luxurious experience. I would highly recommend this spa. It is head and shoulders above any other in the area!

Totally loved this place!

I walked into this salon on a whim just to look at their brochure of services offered. I asked if they took walk ins and explained that I had no idea what I wanted my hair to look like when I walked out of there. The ladies at the front desk were very nice and told me YES! they do take walk-ins, and then set me up with Meghan. Meghan was great!! She explained everything to me as she went along and asked meaningful questions to ensure she was giving me a haircut I would like.

I walked out of there like a new person and in total love with my hair. I even booked a facial for next month! The staff is great, the stylists are wonderfully creative, and the salon is clean. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great haircut and great, friendly, and talented people.
