Loved our little trip here!! We wish we arrived earlier, but we're definitely planning on coming here again. The last time I'd visited was almost 20 years ago and there weren't any of the gift shop/visitors center buildings around. We arrived at noon and stayed until closing but still felt like there was soooooo much more we didn't get to see. Not all the buildings were open inside, mostly just the ones closest to the entrance. I'd recommend taking the train throughout the park n then exploring where you want. Masks are required in all the buildings, so come prepared with those. We took the train, got off at the Treasure House Train Stop and worked our way down from there. The kids really enjoyed panning for gold and were still talking about their "treasures" they found hours after we left. We tried Brigham's Donuts - this is a new favorite!! The kids wanted to try the burgers up the road but we were short on time, Brigham's Donuts were PERFECT after all the panning and exploring the kids did. Highly recommend visiting here!

Wonderful place to stop and stretch your legs while learning about the local history! I loved walking through the Village! This area is beautiful! I understand why Brigham Young said "This is the place" when he saw it.

Definitely not what it used to be. We haven t been the This is the Place in decades. Wow what an upgrade. This is definitely the place to go. It is a bit pricey and fir some odd reason your state park pass doesn t include the state park. But it s a fun place to take the family with several things to do, decent fast food and you ll even learn a thing or two

Fun historical sight, so amazing and affordable for kids! I loved seeing the old cabins and buildings. The leather worker was amazingly knowledgeable and fun to listen to. Brigham's doughnuts were delicious and a perfect family snack. This place feels like a hidden gem.

Dissapointed not all the buildings were open. Loved the blacksmith shop and tin guy. Both had people to talk with. As did the leather guy. Must have spent 20 minutes talking with him. He is very crafty. I really wanted to go into the teapee. Closed, not sure it was Covid or staffing. Good learning experience, like the speakers with the button and the stories.

First time I've been back to this place in over 10 years. Lots of new changes. Everything was well done enjoyed our visit. Seems a little expensive to me even with a senior discount. But I guess it takes money to keep developing a place like this so I didn't mind giving him my credit card
