Fabulous outlook and stunning wines with very knowledgeable staff. We were highly engaged by our server who had a wonderful sense of humour and spoke a number of languages. Go there, be spoilt and try the Rabelais - you won't be disappointed!

Crescenda Willemse hosted us for a very fine wine tasting. She is a most personable and accomplished lady, and made our visit so much more enjoyable.
We have been to many wineries and done the usual "tasting bit", but this was very special and excellently done - thanks in the main to Crescenda.
The wines are also top quality, and it is well worth a visit ,as it is a a lovely setting.
This vineyard has two of the most interesting wines I've ever tasted: Firstly, "The Mint" Cabernet Sauvignon, which has a distinctive mintiness as a result of eucalyptus trees growing close to the specific vineyard. And secondly, "Ed's Reserve", which is a lovely barrel-fermented chardonnay. If you love a wooded white wine do yourself a favour and taste it, there is something unique about this one. In addition to a lovely array of wines the view from the veranda is beautiful and the staff are always friendly.
Thelema was one of two wineries we visited while staying in a lodge close to this place. The estate has two different locations where the grapes are growing: here in the traditional wine lands and one close to the sea. This makes it interesting to compare the different nuances of the wines during a comparative tasting. We were lucky to have a great host during our visit that gave much and very interesting information about the wines and wine-making in South Africa.

One of my top wine farms. Enjoy unique tastes, including the "mint", where vineyards have taken up a natural fresh taste. The MCC is great and I would recommend doing a cellar tour.
One of the most beautiful wine estates in Cape Town with upmarket wine. The staff and management are super friendly and always willing to help. Nestled in between mountains a lovely estate to visit and enjoy mother nature around you whilst sipping the best wines South Africa has to offer! Three cheers to Barbara and Giles!
Very friendly staff who are knowledgeable about the wines made here. Sadly the estate was hit with a fire that wiped away a quantity of vines. Give them a visit and support them !

We went there today and tasted 6 wines , 3 white and 3 red. Very attentive and knowledgeable host who took us through each wine's characteristics. We ended up buying a number of bottles, mainly Thelema Sauvignon Blanc, to be delivered to us in the UK. Very reasonable pricing including taxes and delivery. We couldn't fault anything. A thoroughly enjoyable experience .
Stunning views and excellent wines!!! What a surprise. You'll find most of their wines on the Top restaurants's food and wine pairing menus...eg Fyn, Upper Bloem, Salsify...definitely give them a try or tasting...
I always love visiting Thelema. They're situated in one of the most scenic areas of the Stellenbosch wine route, the tasting experience is welcoming and engaging, and of course, their wines are excellent! I always walk away with a box of wine under my arm.
Wonderful estate with a very modern and nicely designed tasting area. The wines are delicious. We particularly liked the Shiraz and the Rabelais. The staff was super friendly and we were lucky to meet Thomas Webb whose family owns and runs the estate. It was very inspiring to learn how important it is to know its soils, varieties and climate in order to make authentic wines which Thelema does very successfully. Definitely one of our favourite wineries in the Stellenbosch area
Thelema Mountain Vineyards is a hidden gem. Situated a short drive from Stellenbosch on the helshoogte pass. This unassuming farm is home to a multitude of award winning wines. This family owned and run farm is a definite must visit whilst enjoying the stellenbosch wine route. Amazing wine.
The wine tasting experience was amazing. Such knowledge staff and great wine! Crescenda was bloody marvoulus.
It is beautiful and the service was excellent, so laid back and I love the dogs :)
