Honestly can be overwhelming for a fellow newbie, but employees were quick to offer assistance! I love my vegan brush set, thank you theBalm Cosmetics!

Monica was amazing! I got in the day before my wedding and she did my brows and suggested a brow tint (I've never tried before) and I was SO happy with the results! Can't believe what a difference having nicely shaped brows with a bit of tint can make! I highly recommend her and will be back to see her again.

Went to theBalm store for a makeup class and loved it. I had no idea theBalm had a physical store but it was better than I had imagined it would be - very girly, fun, organized, colorful, even sparkly, and clean. TheBalm provides a few services at this location and the class was insightful, I picked up a new trick or two from the class and they even provided mango mimosas to sip on! Be warned: if you're a makeup lover (or beauty blogger), you might break your budget here! Staff is all super friendly and more than willing to help you locate the product made just for your skin type & tone.

The only con would be parking - I couldn't find any street parking but followed the street signs to a public garage (Mission Bartlett Garage - 3255 21st St). It wasn't a big deal, the store is just a few blocks away from the garage.

Evan is the best for keeping my eyebrows looking AMAZING.

This place is awesome! I got my makeup done and eyebrows waxed by Monique and I was really satisfied. She also didn't pressure me at all to buy makeup. Would def stop in here again to shop and pick up some great makeup!

I have been going to theBalm for the past five years and I refuse to go anywhere else to get my brows and lip wax done! The staff is absolutely wonderful and are experts in regards to their craft and the products on display.

theBalm is such a fun place to stop in on weekends with a bunch of your makeup-minded friends. The staff there is knowledgable about the products and are super willing to show you how to use them.

I particularly like their concealers and lip tints. Waxing services are great here as well! Except they can be a bit pricey.

This local gem of a shop on Valencia features cruelty-free cosmetics and services at seriously reasonable prices. Do not hesitate to go here for brow and eyelash tinting, and waxing - you will not regret it! Dita, Mo, and Serge are so sweet and helpful. I love the fact that The Balm now has a brick and mortar store in the Mission. You'll find all of your favorite The Balm products here and the option to have a makeup artist create a tutorial just for you usingtheir in-store studio, complete with box lights, director's chairs, and ipads. The have vegetarian and fish entrees, too for non-meat eaters. Also, you have to have the pop-overs. I would pay 50 bucks for a basket of those alone. And the baked potato that's fully loaded and incredible.

I won't let anyone else touch my brows. And they are ALL good, you can get your brows done by any of them and know you're in great hands. Also, Serge is amazing at makeup and always gives me tips. Love them

I went to The Balm during the Valencia Corridor Holiday Block Party. They were offering 30% on all their merchandise and free eyebrow waxing. I had mine done recently, so I took advantage of their sales.

What I really like about The Balm is that it's paraben free and cruelty free. And they have a fantastic colors from their eyeshadows to lipsticks. I won't go into details of what I bought, since that's more for a review about their makeup. But I will say that will the deal, I basically got one item free. Their prices are comparable to other makeup brands.

The staff at The Balm were so much fun to talk to. And they were very helpful, and not overbearing/aggressive. I felt comfortable. I also love their retro decor.

I am definitely coming back here to get more of their products.

Nice staff and good, not overly expensive make up. There's not a huge selection of foundation but if you find your color it's good stuff!

Great place to do your eyebrows. They don't accept credit cards for tips, make sure you have some cash

Join my wife because she loves the brand and this place is the first place they opened, the truth is that some majestic employees attended us until they recommended places to dine in the city, yes, the price of cosmetics is similar to the from Spain, don't get your hopes up.
