I had applied to TheAppLabb for a BA intern position.
I have prior BA experience and I am Scrum certified too. I am currently working in eCommerce in Retail and also doing a part time internship, both in US. My reason for applying for BA intern position is that I have a gap in my career and I am trying to come back to IT.
First TheAppLabb HR Srimoni called me and asked me to apply on a link that never worked. Eventually I got to speak to their Product Manager Nittin Gundala. That interview went on for 1/2 hour and till today I didnt realize why they had to interview for a no-pay intern position. Although his English was terrible, my interview went well. He in fact asked me to prepare JIRA and brush up tech skills, which made me think that I was selected. Then there was no further news. After a month of follow ups with Srimoni, I finally wrote to their CEO Kundan Joshi. Within an hour, Srimoni responded saying that they had selected another candidate.
Is this why I wasted 1 month? If they had to say no, why drag this so far? I wonder how they found a candidate within 1 hour? But who is checking?
I also thought was this because I am in US and they are a Canada company? But then they knew my location through my resume already. After going through all this hassle, I was going to ask their CEO but he has blocked me by this time!
