Good place to grab a cheap breakfast in Portsmouth. Very friendly staff.
Good place to grab a cheap breakfast in Portsmouth. Very friendly staff.
It s fine but not good. Sandwiches sound delicious but lack flavor. Wouldn t recommend.
Yummy bagels. Yummy cream cheese fillings. Very clean. Great downtown location.
Food is pretty good and a solid variety of baked desserts and pastries that are also tasty.
Little cafe with healthy locally grown food products and absolutely delicious mac and cheese!
All the staff that I've interacted with have been very nice. Prices are great! Plenty of options for food (I always get a bagel with cream cheese and the mac and cheese, both are awesome), smoothies, and drinks.
It's always consistently busy but never too crowded when I go. Outdoor seating is also a plus!
This is a pretty good spot. I have gotten the Thai Chicken Salad a couple of times. It hits the spot for lunch. There is good coffee and good baked good for breakfast.
This was our first time getting food from here, we called ahead for a to go order. There wasn't much parking available so we parked on a side street. We got the salmon sandwich and California salmon wrap. They were both good. I would go back again.
Good fresh breakfast, Friendly stuff. Downtown prices... Good though
The coffee is consistently bad,so bad I couldn't drink it. My toasted bagel was cold. The owner is too cheap to pay someone to clean the coffee containers or to toast a bagel the way it should be
I got the ham, apple and cheddar panini with a side salad. The salad surpassed my expectations. It was fresh and the dressing was yummy!
Awesome fresh food. We highly recommend this place! Everything is very delicious !
I love this place!! Great food, genuinely nice people serving it. I love the new menu, but I do miss the California Turkey Wrap!! Can't wait to try the Mac n' Cheese!!
So nice and so yummy! The servers are super nice and the music isn't too loud. Lovely atmosphere.
Staff are rude and food was stale. The place across the street is far superior
Staff are just excellent excellent, delicious coffee, salmon bagles and even Gluten free options. Def stopping by when visiting Portsmouth.
Nice coffee shop and lunch spot in downtown portsmouth. Not a lot of seating but phenomenal food, enjoyed the bagels.
An amazing variety of breakfast and lunch sandwiches
First time visit. Only had a Chai latte. Has a good menu so definitely will try it again.
Known to locals as one of the few places downtown that does not lose power when everything else does in big snowstorms.
Deciding to stretch our legs and get out of the house for lunch, we walked down to the Works on a Sunday afternoon and were relieved that we managed to hit it during a not busy but steady time. The outdoor seating was populated, but we snagged the last remaining of the four outdoor tables.
We ordered a sliced cold smoked kosher salmon sandwich without onion on multigrain bread; and ham, cheddar, and apple panini.
The cold smoked kosher salmon sandwich without onions on multigrain bread was what you'd expect rich, and the cream cheese spread perfectly balancing the oily texture and the salmony flavor topped with capers complimenting and adding a little zest to the mix. I was only able to eat half of my sandwich as it was so filling and brought the other half home to eat for lunch the following day.
The ham, cheddar, and apple panini must have been good as it disappeared rather quickly.
The customer service and quality are on the spot here, and I've never been disappointed in the near decade I've been coming here.
Had a delicious super chicken panini sandwich. It was fresh and well put together. Service was slightly behind, slow but they weren't busy with a few empty tables and plenty of help behind the counter. It was well worth the wait even still
Friendly staff, interesting menu, reasonably priced. Great place for good eats.
Nice quiet atmosphere and super friendly staff. Nice selection of coffee and light snacks.
Lots of choices, excellent breakfast choices, Costa Rican coffee, great service and friendly staff. Great also for remote workers as some tables have outlets.
First time I had been there. Great little cafe, super nice staff and really good food.
Best bagels in town. Service could be a bit faster.
Nice place to be sure, will have to try the food next time!
Great place for house made bagels. Bacon egg and cheese can't be beat.
The BEST bagels! But the staff is often curt or rude to both the customers, and even to each other.
The homemade bagels are great, and the smoothies are pricey but fresh. Plenty of seating and fast, friendly service.
Fantastic sandwich and burrito, really fresh and great quality ingredients! Great little find
Great menu, lots of picnic tables out front, a guy next door is playing the piano on the sidewalk
I love their turkey avocado sandwich and my kids love their mac& cheese
Sandwiches are very good. Love the sourdough bread BUT they have missed putting avocado on my turkey bacon avocado for the third time now and occasionally put WAY too much leafy greens. If it weren t for those 2 things it would be 5 stars for sure!
My regular haunt, best bagels around by far, and wonderful sandwiches.
Really cool place for breakfast or lunch. Many organic and locally sourced options. Prices were surprisingly affordable considering both of those things. Think Panera, but local, fresher, and organic. This place would be dangerous if it were closer to where I worked. I d be in here all the time. Had the super chicken panini and the bacon, turkey, avocado on sourdough. Everything was so fresh and tasted so good. Just like their tag line....eat good, feel good.
Love their fresh bagels and sandwiches. My favorite is the Lox and cream cheese on a bagel. Their smoothies are also good.
They can handle a big line which is appreciated. The breakfast sandwiches were delicious.
The works is decent. I think they were once the bagelry in Durham. Sandwiches are great as well as the freshly squeezed oj....staff is quick caring and thankfull for your tips!
Great place for breakfast and lunch. My only criticism is they seem to be pro sustainability but only offer paper cups and don't compost. Otherwise I would give 5 stars.
Home made bagels are fantastic along with a good selection of spreads. Grab a table outside early morning to watch the city wake up.
Friendly service, excellent coffee, sandwiches are superb (and healthy), and almond croissants you don't want to miss!
Delicious and fairly quick line even during lunch rush! I got the smoked salmon sandwich my first time here and the quinoa power bowl the second, and both were very decent portions and very tasty!
I'm addicted to their Sausage Egg and Cheese on The Works bagel so I get that way too much. Simple but delicious. Its a nicr place to work that has enough hustle and bustle to make you feel motivated but not too loud to distract you.
Awesome food selection! Different than your everyday choices in chains. Can get very congested so try to avoid the lunch boom!
Ruh roh...Popovers may have a competition! We stopped by here to grab lunch and was very impressed! A rustic but fun atmosphere and is well lit with high ceilings. It doesn't feel as crammed and claustrophobic like other restaurants in the area. Plenty of seating and of course the food was DELICIOUS. You get a good amount of food for great price. The service was friendly and speedy. They're doing something right here... Highly recommended!
