Great staff, friendly and helpful. Different areas so something to suit everyone!
Great late night kick on, but a great lunch spot too.
Amazing food and atmosphere. Polite and attentive service. Will be back.
We tested a number of steak houses on the 5th day in Australia, and the sirloin steak (Scotch Fillet) was the best.
Good food and service.. be aware it is expensive and a few of the prices on my bill did not match what was on the menu (increased) and I was not notified about the surcharge on eftpos.
$14 a pint of lager?? Outside of Norway and Iceland, probably the most expensive price in the world for a beer (that costs them $0.15 each). Absolute, extortionate rip off! Staff pour it even before you ask for it, then expect payment.
Added to that, the bathroom was flooded with sewerage...great work guys!! Really worth the world's most expensive beers!
Great place for a beer with a crowd of like minded peeps.
We had a work function upstairs which was pleasant, however when leaving and waiting for a friend to come down the staff/bouncer was very rude, unnecessarily so, as if he was looking for a confrontation. What a shame to take your customers money and then push them around as they are leaving.
Really nice if you have the budget for it! Delicious mulled wine :)
Beautiful venue and friendly staff. Food is good as well
The place was awesome and the live singer too... just loved the performance.
Expensive and trying to be classy but full of bogans.
Isn't sure if it wants to be a pub or a bar. Nice outside on a sunny day but view is of a carpark not the water. Great staff.
I went to the woolshed a few weeks ago with friends. A waitress spilt an entire glass of champagne on my mate, then tried to blame my mate when the waitress put the champage half on a napkin, half on the table. The waitress didn't apologise.
Great place to have a drink, big venue, good waiting staff.
I went there for an engagement party and the food was incredible!
The Woolshed Pub at Central Pier is an authentic warehouse conversion with an earthy and natural feel with timber finishes providing greater access between Central Pier and Harbour Esplanade. Modular in design with a host of intimate spaces to uncover, The Woolshed Pub can accommodate up to 675 guests across the main bar, plus smaller groups in the bistro-style mezzanine.
Other features include the original 5 metre high shed doors, double story glazing providing a feature view through to the working keg room and water views out towards Victoria Harbour.
Nice bar with a great atmosphere, a little out of the way of everything else. But still a snazzy little location for drinks and functions.
The drinks are expensive. The food is expensive and not nice. And it's loud as heck so can't really catch up with anyone.
Nice venue. Great views, good atmosphere. Lots of TVs to watch footy & live music & dance floor. Would've given it 5 stars if they sold my drink Wild Turkey!
The boss is a psycho - simply put, I've never had worse food (or more expensive) in my life.
I asked for a medium rare steak - what I got was a charcoaled steak on the outside and uncooked on the inside. When I complained I was treated like crap. I got a replacement steak which was so rare it was bloody. Not wanting to complain again, I through the steak into the water hoping that they wouldn't see so as to not cause trouble.
Next thing - I had the manager threatening me and telling me I wash;t allowed to revisit because "he was offended". I've never had a worse experience in a restaurant in my life. I will NEVER attend their restaurant again - and will be sure that none of my clients attend either.
Usually have a lot of work functions here. Great layout, wheelchair friendly, very flexible for different events and lovely food but staff are sometimes a bit rude, seem very stressed out and struggle occasionally with dietary requirements. It s capacity is roughly 100-150.
We came here to eat for a birthday. The service was TERRIBLE. We were completely ignored all evening. Several of us had to chase down the waiters just to put in our orders or ask for additional silverware, plates, etc. The manager also made sexist, inappropriate comments towards the women in our group. Disgusting. I feel sorry to the kitchen staff, as their food was pretty decent. The service truly ruined the whole experience. Never coming here again and I advise anyone who is considering it to stay away.
Staff is friendly and helpful. Food was average but expensive. Nice location and glad they rebuilt after the fire last year. Very nice inside but wouldn't go there if I only wanted a meal.
Fantastic food and awesome staff, really enjoyed our night thanks
Great food, outstanding wait staff, chefs that can actually cook. It is my go to.
Very expensive drinks no local beer on tap never go here
A big thank you to Duncan and the terrific team at Woolshed for a wonderful evening celebrating Verity's Birthday. Highly recommended!!
Great place with sometimes live music, so sad it had to close
Nice venue, nice staff but 28.50 for two pints of mid range ale is outrageous.
Good friendly staff. Drinks too expensive, did not try the food and therefore cannot comment. More seating in the drinking area would be helpful. Pleasant location.
Very mixed about this place. You need to know the zones or you can get yourself in a bit of bother. Most of security can not hear or understand you so take a a note with who you are with or they will not let your in. They do have a guest list with names but if they do not understand you will have trouble. Next the DMZ, you have the bar just in the entrance. The cash register is in the DMZ. Let the bar staff bring the service to you do not go to the DMZ to assist staff with making your payment. I ventured 30 cm in to the DMZ and I was given a lecture. If you are allowed in the DMZ you will make it to a VIP room. Not sure if this is North or South Korea. Hopefully it is more like SK because the area before DMZ has a lot of security staring you down all the time. Just past the bar is a set of tables before you get to the kitchen. Here is the lavatories, make sure you never laugh at anything that happens at these tables. Most sitting here have no humor. Eyes down and go do your business. If you manage to get past the kitchen, because security will want to know who you are again if you do get past you will make it to the restaurant. Here you will be greeted by nice staff who will look after you most of the night. Drinks slow as usual with a drink package but that was the bar near the DMZ.
I have made it out alive and not sure if I will ever go back.
Great venue for functions, friendly professional staff
Ate lunch here on Sat 28th October. The food was ok, we were seated in the restaurant. The service was good until only having 1% battery I asked if I could plug my phone charger in. The brunette girl with fair skin behind the bar refused, saying they wouldn't take responsibility for it. When I questioned her on why, she told me "maybe I should have charged my phone at home." Luckily the restaurant manager and staff were more accommodating and professional. They helped me charge my phone and the rest of the experience was great.
Private function, whole place booked out, can't even get a drink.
Disappointing to say the least, staff were rude and un-welcoming. Would never come again....
Shared a meal with my daughter there tonight.
Food was exceptional. Service was absolutely amazing. By far best restaurant experience I ve had. I mentioned to the manager on the way out how pleased I was to. Can t wait to go again. Highly recommend
Really disappointing experience. Won't visit this place again or recommend it to anyone.
Went into to check it out for an end of year lunch with a few work colleagues.
It was surprisingly quite given it lunch time on a nice sunny say, and was around two weeks prior to Christmas.
Walked into the restaurant area, but left after a few minutes when we could't find/see any serving staff.
It is expensive. I thought the food was nice though. Service was friendly.
Expensive and tasty. The place looks great and the staff are helpful but the food isn't worth what you pay.
Appalling. This is how I can best describe my experience at the Woolshed. I had booked for a table for 10 but had some late RSVPs so there ended up being 13 of us. Luckily the place was half empty so additional seats wouldn't be a problem (or so I thought). I asked the waiter if he could please provide another table to which he replied 'thanks for booking in advance' and then proceeded to announce to the whole table that whoever made the booking should've booked the right numbers. We were all there for a farewell to our colleague who was retiring but the table conversation quickly turned to the completely unprofessional and disgusting behaviour of the waiter. My friend who was retiring apologised to the waiter but she was completely ignored. Myself and another person also asked to order our food straight away because we had to leave early so the waiter took our order and then simply told us to 'sit down' in a hostile voice. At first I really felt bad for the owner that he would have someone so toxic representing his business but now that I've read the other online reviews about the owner also being rude, I'm starting to think it's a systemic issue. No one at my table intends to ever go to Woolshed again.
This is my local for after work drinks. Can get really busy on a Friday night straight after work. Even more so if a footy game or other large event is happening at the stadium. Good for drinks. Can't speak of the food as I haven't had a meal there in years.
A great restaurant in the Melbourne Marina, but a bit pricey for those of us who are not Australians, a beer costs 14 Australian dollars ......
We visited as part of a function, great variety of drinks. My friend had an incident due to dehydration but the staff and security were very friendly and helpful, taking care of my friend and checking on her throughout the night. Top notch!
Unfortunately four of us were not impressed with the food. Service was great
Excellent meals. Cater for big groups and small. Had a lovely time.
Great location, cold beer. One fifty lashes on tap!
Fantastic place too relax and eat, staff and food was amazing. I would recommend anyone come down and see the new and improved woolshed.
Good alcohol selection, food is very tasty and a good atmosphere after dark. Try the chicken parma for lunch, it's one of the best I've ever had.
Good fun pub.
Live music, friendly welcoming staff, great location for a sunday session / after game pint. Yep they have guiness :)
Probs visit again when next in Melbourne and reccomend to others.

Very glad that we ended up having lunch in here. Contemporary type looking bar with a quite good restaurant. Staff very attentive and friendly from start to finish. I liked that they give little bags to toddlers with all to be entertained while having us our meal. We got the baby octopus, good flavour and right texture. Then we got the salmon, crispy skin fantastic; got medium rare scotch fillet, good. A few drinks. And finally some mulled wine. All good. And nice view to Docklands. Really pleasent atmosphere.
Good value for money, beautiful surroundings, impeccable service, original and healthy recipes
Delicious food, wonderful staff with good service. Serving portions were a touch small, but no less delicious than you would expect from such a restaurant.
Good location with water view. Food is good. Great service. Has credit card surcharge.
Great space relaxing atmosphere. Loved the pork sausages.
Absolutely devine food!!! Great atmosphere, always friendly and prompt service regardless of how packed they are. Great drinks menu too.
One of many places along the docklands pier, has the view of the Marvel stadium and the dock and great place to hangout with friends
Great spot for a drink, great indoor and outdoor spaces
It's a corporate pub. If you have an entertainment account and some clients to wine and dine, step right up.
Great night watching the socceroos.free grog and food..magnificent.. Except the scoreline.
Not much of a view given location. Expensive beers but a good atmosphere
