$14 a pint of lager?? Outside of Norway and Iceland, probably the most expensive price in the world for a beer (that costs them $0.15 each). Absolute, extortionate rip off! Staff pour it even before you ask for it, then expect payment.

Added to that, the bathroom was flooded with sewerage...great work guys!! Really worth the world's most expensive beers!

We had a work function upstairs which was pleasant, however when leaving and waiting for a friend to come down the staff/bouncer was very rude, unnecessarily so, as if he was looking for a confrontation. What a shame to take your customers money and then push them around as they are leaving.

I went to the woolshed a few weeks ago with friends. A waitress spilt an entire glass of champagne on my mate, then tried to blame my mate when the waitress put the champage half on a napkin, half on the table. The waitress didn't apologise.

The Woolshed Pub at Central Pier is an authentic warehouse conversion with an earthy and natural feel with timber finishes providing greater access between Central Pier and Harbour Esplanade. Modular in design with a host of intimate spaces to uncover, The Woolshed Pub can accommodate up to 675 guests across the main bar, plus smaller groups in the bistro-style mezzanine.

Other features include the original 5 metre high shed doors, double story glazing providing a feature view through to the working keg room and water views out towards Victoria Harbour.

The boss is a psycho - simply put, I've never had worse food (or more expensive) in my life.

I asked for a medium rare steak - what I got was a charcoaled steak on the outside and uncooked on the inside. When I complained I was treated like crap. I got a replacement steak which was so rare it was bloody. Not wanting to complain again, I through the steak into the water hoping that they wouldn't see so as to not cause trouble.

Next thing - I had the manager threatening me and telling me I wash;t allowed to revisit because "he was offended". I've never had a worse experience in a restaurant in my life. I will NEVER attend their restaurant again - and will be sure that none of my clients attend either.

Usually have a lot of work functions here. Great layout, wheelchair friendly, very flexible for different events and lovely food but staff are sometimes a bit rude, seem very stressed out and struggle occasionally with dietary requirements. It s capacity is roughly 100-150.

We came here to eat for a birthday. The service was TERRIBLE. We were completely ignored all evening. Several of us had to chase down the waiters just to put in our orders or ask for additional silverware, plates, etc. The manager also made sexist, inappropriate comments towards the women in our group. Disgusting. I feel sorry to the kitchen staff, as their food was pretty decent. The service truly ruined the whole experience. Never coming here again and I advise anyone who is considering it to stay away.

Very mixed about this place. You need to know the zones or you can get yourself in a bit of bother. Most of security can not hear or understand you so take a a note with who you are with or they will not let your in. They do have a guest list with names but if they do not understand you will have trouble. Next the DMZ, you have the bar just in the entrance. The cash register is in the DMZ. Let the bar staff bring the service to you do not go to the DMZ to assist staff with making your payment. I ventured 30 cm in to the DMZ and I was given a lecture. If you are allowed in the DMZ you will make it to a VIP room. Not sure if this is North or South Korea. Hopefully it is more like SK because the area before DMZ has a lot of security staring you down all the time. Just past the bar is a set of tables before you get to the kitchen. Here is the lavatories, make sure you never laugh at anything that happens at these tables. Most sitting here have no humor. Eyes down and go do your business. If you manage to get past the kitchen, because security will want to know who you are again if you do get past you will make it to the restaurant. Here you will be greeted by nice staff who will look after you most of the night. Drinks slow as usual with a drink package but that was the bar near the DMZ.
I have made it out alive and not sure if I will ever go back.

Ate lunch here on Sat 28th October. The food was ok, we were seated in the restaurant. The service was good until only having 1% battery I asked if I could plug my phone charger in. The brunette girl with fair skin behind the bar refused, saying they wouldn't take responsibility for it. When I questioned her on why, she told me "maybe I should have charged my phone at home." Luckily the restaurant manager and staff were more accommodating and professional. They helped me charge my phone and the rest of the experience was great.

Went into to check it out for an end of year lunch with a few work colleagues.

It was surprisingly quite given it lunch time on a nice sunny say, and was around two weeks prior to Christmas.

Walked into the restaurant area, but left after a few minutes when we could't find/see any serving staff.

Appalling. This is how I can best describe my experience at the Woolshed. I had booked for a table for 10 but had some late RSVPs so there ended up being 13 of us. Luckily the place was half empty so additional seats wouldn't be a problem (or so I thought). I asked the waiter if he could please provide another table to which he replied 'thanks for booking in advance' and then proceeded to announce to the whole table that whoever made the booking should've booked the right numbers. We were all there for a farewell to our colleague who was retiring but the table conversation quickly turned to the completely unprofessional and disgusting behaviour of the waiter. My friend who was retiring apologised to the waiter but she was completely ignored. Myself and another person also asked to order our food straight away because we had to leave early so the waiter took our order and then simply told us to 'sit down' in a hostile voice. At first I really felt bad for the owner that he would have someone so toxic representing his business but now that I've read the other online reviews about the owner also being rude, I'm starting to think it's a systemic issue. No one at my table intends to ever go to Woolshed again.

This is my local for after work drinks. Can get really busy on a Friday night straight after work. Even more so if a footy game or other large event is happening at the stadium. Good for drinks. Can't speak of the food as I haven't had a meal there in years.

We visited as part of a function, great variety of drinks. My friend had an incident due to dehydration but the staff and security were very friendly and helpful, taking care of my friend and checking on her throughout the night. Top notch!

Very glad that we ended up having lunch in here. Contemporary type looking bar with a quite good restaurant. Staff very attentive and friendly from start to finish. I liked that they give little bags to toddlers with all to be entertained while having us our meal. We got the baby octopus, good flavour and right texture. Then we got the salmon, crispy skin fantastic; got medium rare scotch fillet, good. A few drinks. And finally some mulled wine. All good. And nice view to Docklands. Really pleasent atmosphere.
