I had a lot of fun here. I went there the whole week off the tournament, Tiger Wood and other famous golf players were all there. Don't miss it next year. The town (Mamaroneck) is clean and well taken care of.

Love this place. If you re a New York based golfer, you only need two courses, if you can play them: Bethpage Black and Winged Foot. One public and one private. Let s hope the US Open goes on this year with spectators. Golf fans NEED this!

Well what can be said. If you get a invite to play here, take it. One of the iconic golf clubs. 2 - 18 hole courses with the West being the well known and longest one. The east though is shorter and as wonderful. An enjoyable world class club. Make sure you wear shoes, and no hats in the clubhouse.

Was a former employee here. Not a place I'd recommend working at. Great place if you're a creme de la creme member, but not a place to think of having a career at. Extremely high turnover rate here. This is a CYA at all cost location.

Winged Foot Golf Club is home to two championship layouts, the world-renowned West course and and the also excellent East. In the West course you will find one of the United States' most admired tree-lined and open parkland layouts, with an outstanding array of excellently crafted and challenging holes. Golf courses don't get any better than this. However, this is a private club with its courses generally playable only by members and their guests.

Winged Foot Golf Club is a private club with two 18-hole golf courses located in Mamaroneck, New York and the first round of golf was played there in 1923. Winged Foot has been a regular Major Championship host venue over the years, with the West Course having hosted the U.S. Open five times previously.

In 2013 the USGA again selected the Winged Foot Golf Club to host the 120th U.S. Open in Jun-2020. During 2016-2017 the West course was majorly restored in readiness for the 2020 US Open tournament.

However, due to the Coronavirus pandemic, tournament officials cancelled the June date and instead scheduled the event to be held during 17th to 20th Sep-20 at Winged Foot with Bryson DeChambeau becoming the 2020 champion.

OK, so I went to the US Open in 2006 to watch the pros play the course, which was great, but until I recently played the course myself I couldn't relate to the full experience of Winged Foot.
The mounted golf club just inside the front door made by Old Tom Brown and gifted to Winged Foot by the Royal and Ancient members sets the stage for a golfing experience to remember. Even if, like me, you're the member of your foursome responsible for laughs rather than birdies, basking in this kind of golfing lore and playing conditions is wonderful on many levels. That the "golfers" in my foursome won the tournament helped too...Salud to Winged Foot!

It is simply the best golf course I have ever seen or played. The greens are like putting in your bath tub and the fairways are like carpet. I felt guilty taking divots. It is gold heaven.
