Staff is horrible for rap/hip hop events. HORRIBLE. It's so bad everyone just sits there standing in place because they don't want to do anything "wrong." I've been to three shows there, all bad. Next time the artists came to town they went to Paradise Rock Club instead, a much better venue.

Saw a great show here. Beautiful, historic venue. We had mezzanine seats and the spacing was a little cramped, even for my able-bodied partner. Stairs down to seats were wide and non-slip though. I have a mobility impairment and a staffer was kind enough to go well out of his way to make sure I got to an accessible restroom via elevator. Am also gender-nonconforming and was seeing a show with a large LGBT fanbase with my also GNC partner, and everyone was nothing but kind and respectful.

This is a nice medium size venue which makes one feel close to the performance. You can order drinks from your seats by signaling the waitress using an app. You can't pay through the app. The seats are chairs, and were comfortable enough for me, but I can imagine some would find them small and lacking in back support.

Friendliest security I ever met. No attitude problems at all. Don't see that much lately! Must say I was way up in the balcony and these are the smallest seats I have ever sat it. Im 300 pounds but my wife and twelve year old had to squeeze in too. The seats are jammed together, and the walk down to the bottom balcony is very very very steep. You feel like you are going to tip over. I had the end of the isle, and every time someone walked down to their seat they had to grab my arm or knee. The heat was blaring as well, made things a bit uncomfortable. Just when you thought it was safe to use the bathroom, everything in there is jammed too. Got up and personal with the guys you are peeing next to.

Drinks were very overpriced, but the show was great and I have no complaints on the service. The place could use a coat of paint and new seating to bring up to five stars as a mid-range venue.

The Wilbur is a nice small theater. Balcony is steep so mind your steps. It works well for comedy shows and some concerts. Park 5 mins away at 660 Washington garage and get validated at theater to save $5. Paid only $12 which is great in this part of the city.

We went to see a comedy show at The Wilbur, and while the venue itself seems like a nice, older theater, it was so cramped in the front section / row that it was uncomfortable. The audio quality is good, and there is definitely a certain personality of the building, but I don t think I would go out of my way to go back there. Also, drinks are EXPENSIVE. We stay at the Ritz when we stay in Boston, and drinks are less expensive through their room service than at the venue.

Nice cozy theater. The size of the venue makes the whole experience seem more intimate and personalized. My only complaint were the drink prices. Would need to take out a small loan to order drinks there.

Lousy service at the tables - the waitress came by once in the whole 1.5 hour show. Wildly overpriced drinks, even for Boston. A "double" (really just a regular drink) was more than $20.

Have been here for several comedy shows and they have had awesome bookings! I like the theater, it's on the smaller side of the scale though so be aware that big names sell out quickly.
Great location as it is right in downtown and just a few minutes away from the Green, Orange, and Red lines.
I've only sat in the balcony and I'm happy to say it has enough of an incline so as to make the show enjoyable no matter where you sit. The seats are comfy, though I need to mention that leg space is rather limited (tall people, I feel your pain here).

I attended a concert here & love this intimate venue...
NOTE: my ears were happy, but my butt was bruised!

The hall is small, so all the seats have a great view.
I LOVE that fans can get up close and personal with their idols.
I mean, seriously, you can practically smell the sweat...LOVE IT.

I was on the side of the 1st floor and the seats were painful for 2 hours.
The center front rows were made of tables & stools with backs.

DRINKS: Beer was expensive...I mean even for Boston.
Really, you're just buying in bulk: two 24oz cups is $32 (4 beers).
After two beers, the bathrooms are clean and welcoming.

TIP: Floor seats are painful, so maybe bring a seat cushion.
There is a balcony, if you're willing to trade intimacy for comfort.

We purchased tickets for a 7 pm show and when we got there they said it's for the 10 pm show. The tickets even said 7 pm right on them. To get a drink at this place you would miss a good portion of the show because the line was done the stairs. The seats were really tight. the show was good and we had a good time

Great location and venue for shows! Because of its age bathrooms aren't in the best location, but otherwise we had a great time. Drinks served at our seats. Even got a backstage tour. Cool, old building!

Old theatre starting to lose its charm. Years ago it was neat how "vintage' The Wilbur was with its pillowless seats + old layout but now it's clear it's time for an upgrade, or at least new seats. Only place in town decent comedy comes through.

Show was great. The seats (although amazing in view) were the most uncomfortable, pushed together, hardly padded chairs that made your butt hurt in the first half hour. The show was over 2 hours long and with NO waitress service (couldnt get near us although there were only 6 people in our row and only 3 rows) that's how densely packed the Wilbur seats are. My butt was killing, we couldnt get out to get a drink , go the bathroom too packed. I will never go to the Wilbur again for a show unless they change the seats. No wonder the tickets were so cheap. Soooooooo UNCOMFORTABLE!!!

Easy to get to, small venue and good selection of performances. Ticket prices are typically very reasonable. Floor seats can be a bit crowded, so I prefer front rows of the mezzanine for a great view in comfortable seats.

Seating set up is pretty bad on the floor - chairs crammed in on top of each other. It's a serious hassle to move around. Beer options are terrible (2 choices and one of them is Coors Light?). Great selection of shows.

My experience with the Wilbur is not the problem. My experience with the parking garage that they recommend is. Archstone Garage on Washington Street is AWFUL!!! The employee that we encountered was a rude, angry and mean old man who shouldn't be working with people. He had no patience and no tact!

The signage to pay when you leave probably needs to be put on a neon sign at the stairwell and elevator, "special" people, more important than anyone else, that can't read were "above" the rest of us waiting in line to pay and thought they would try to "beat" the system. Didn't work! They only added to the frustration of the other parkers and the attendant.

Quite frankly, I could have gotten out of the Comcast Center easier!

It's nice that the Wilbur validates parking at Archstone but I for one will not be parking there again! I will pay $25 to park somewhere else.

I'm 5'9 and my boyfriend is 5'11. Our legs were pinched and I know its an old venue but my legs started to fall asleep.
Sitting was tight and uncomfortable but I had no other problems as I read other reviews about the price of drinks and showing up early.
Got there an hour early to see Joe Rogan at 7 and it was an easy flow.
Didn't buy drinks because I'm not about paying 15 bucks for one beer.
Joe Rogan was great and I had fun.

The experience of watching the band from standing in the stalls was fine, and the sound was acceptable. Everything else about this place was terrible. Ultra-rude guy taking tickets at the door, rude & surly usher inside directing people to their area/seats. Over zealous security jumping on people if they stepped outside stalls onto common walkway. The price of a beer was outrageous. As a visitor to Boston for the weekend, I drank a lot of beer in many different bars, most of which I loved. This was by far the most expensive, $15 for a 24 oz (just over 700ml) beer. Price gouging pure and simple. Lastly, I'm pretty sure the woman behind the bar left me $10 short in my change on purpose. When I returned 2 mins later and pointed it out, she gave me the $10 without any thought or query. I will not be returning to this horrible place.

Seats were extremely too close together
Very uncomfortable. Hard to get in and out without asking those behind you to move their chair. Many seats do not have a place to rest a drink and drinks are way over priced.

Saw Noel Fielding here. The show was amazing. Wish the seats were a little more comfortable and a bit less crowded. Very close to the stage as well!! Only big complaint was the bar. Bartender seemed inexperienced & drinks were not very good. I would like my drink to be tasty and less watery for $12. I will definitely come back to this venue though!!

This theater is a gem of Boston I just wish the employees kept it cleaner. The bathrooms and bars are a bit small for the venue but otherwise everything is amazing. The theater is breathtaking when you walk in and there is not a bad seat in the house. I still felt like I was right there. I will continue to go see shows here.

The Wilbur is a nice venue to watch a comedy show at but the value for money is not good. My ticket was $49 and they tacked on a $10 (20%) convenience fee. The beer line was long, and they charge $16 for a 22 oz premium beer which is 33% more expensive than Gillette Stadium.
