Great place to take your pet for their healthcare needs. Staff is friendly and it's a pretty large office so it's not hard to get an appointment. They take great care of all of our dog's needs. From routine to exams to dental care and monthly flea treatment. I would definitely recommend The Village Vets to anyone in our area.

The Village Vet of Decatur had much Mercy on our cat name, Little Foot. We didn't have the money to pay for his 911 visit and they gave us space to pay. Some people see and understand what they want to see and understand. It is the gratitude of the Heart. The Village Vet of Decatur is loaded with a Warm, Kind and Caring Staff. Our dog Reality love the techs that handle him.

Usually I do not write reviews unless 1. I have multiple experiences at the same location 2. After I have seen progress. But, today I brought my dog in for hind left leg lameness which I am happy I did because they are truly professional and responsive. Instead of treating/ doing diagnostic tests for everything and anything they examined him and treated him for his injuries with the proper care as well as giving recommendations and answering all of my questions and concerns. I will definitely recommend. Also thank you Dr. Hand!

I am updating my review because I like to be honest and fair. About a week after my post, someone from the office staff reached out to me regarding my experience. They apologized for the misunderstanding and informed I should not have been charged. I really appreciated this because they never mentioned my post as the reason for contacting me. I don't expect people nor businesses to be perfect but I do want excellent customer service and their very best. It's the only true thing that separates the good from the great. We have to learn to genuinely care. They offered me a refund for my emergency exam of $85 not the total which included meds. I will probably continue taking my sweetie to their office (with a bit of caution because I don't her sick again). Thanks VV for making it right.

I am really upset. I would normally give 5 stars because the service is typically great and it is convenient however I was billed $109 because my dog have kennel cough from boarding with them. I think it is extremely unfair that I had to pay for an illness that was contracted after staying at the facility. My dog had up to date vaccines (which they cannot board without). I can understand paying for the meds (which doesn't treat the cough but rather provide comfort) but being charged for the exam is a bit much. Wow! What a rip off.

We found the Village Vets through a tragic experience when my kitten was dying and we had to find a 24 hour vet. We have been going ever since. They are extremely responsive, wonderful vets that provide excellent care. I love the way that they stay in touch with us electronically and remind me that I need to bring in my animals for appointments via email. They always call personally to check on my animals after we have had shots or procedures. I highly recommend them.
First I schedule and appt for 2 weeks out that us to be reschedule for another 2 weeks for both my cats. Then I arrive and the staff member only scheduled an appt for one of my cats. So after waiting a month I can only have one of my cats look at.... they offered no compensation or accommodation for their mistake. All and all worst experience of my life with any business or establishment. DO NOT SUPPORT!
