This place is well run with dedicated staff from the Head person to the Housekeepers. Place is clean and neat. Food is great. Very dedicated for safety during this pandemic. All staff are professional and polite.

I've been with this community for a little over a year now, and I am continually impressed with the teamwork and true caring that is provided by the staff. I have not regretted my decision to come here for a moment!

My friend, who is 89, sold her house and moved in to the Village to be closer to her family. It has been wonderful for all. My friend has her privacy, but there are people available, if needed. The facilities are nice, there are many activities for the residents, the food is very good, and my friend can be more sociable. This is a nice situation

I was able to sing there for Christmas with my high school choir, and they have a wonderful environment.

The Village at Brookfield Common team is compassionate and takes great pride in the care they provide the residents. I m proud to be a part of this team and to serve our residents.

As a former employee I couldn t say enough about the Village. It is the most warm, caring environment I have ever worked in. The residents well being and happiness are everyone s prime focus - it truly is one big family!

This company churns and burns through front line associates and management, constantly. Overworked and understaffed establishment here. There is no compassion, they do not live by their mission statement. All these people care about are bringing in revenue, any way they can. False promises, with no delivery. Those are simply empty words, with no action. There is no compassion, not for their associates, not for their nurses and definitely not for your mother, father, grandmother, grandfather or loved ones who pay a great deal of money monthly to reside in this place they call "home-like." Save yourself from a tour or considering this a place of employment. There is a huge human DIS-connection here.

I was a temporary resident at this facility for just under four months last year. There are good and bad things about this place: the aides work incredibly hard to help residents and they do a pretty good job although the facility is understaffed to the point where the aides sometimes have to rush and that s a shame. The food is not that great overall but they did make a good hamburger while I was there! As I became stronger and my tastebuds came back to life the food just tasted worse and worse. I agree with people who say that Benchmark, the company that operates this place, is quite concerned with money and filling rooms. On the other hand, they did make excellent arrangements for me to receive physical therapy while I was there and that helped me a lot. The rooms are a bit small but I m told that the size of the rooms is typical for assisted living. The aides do make sure residents take their medicines and they do safety checks overnight to make sure residents are resting comfortably and safely. Not the best place to be (it s not home and it s essentially a fancy looking institution) but if you or a loved one needs these services it might be a possibility.

In the 14 months that my father Natale Merlo lived at The Village, he was cared for with compassion and love every single day. I will always be indebted for their service. They are truly a staff of special people.

I preformed Christmas carols at the Village before, really going to miss it this year, had an amazing time. The team is top notch and the residence always have smiling faces!

I have volunteered at The Village for years. I miss playing my violin for the residents and working with the staff. The nursing team has inspired my career path.

Nice and well staffed. The pr uh ce go up every year. It's very expensive

If you want a nice place to live with assistance with food, laundry and entertainment this might work for you. If you need daily help with medical attention, hygiene, personal assistance then this facility might not be a good option.

The sales and intake procedures appear to be focused on filling rooms. Communication between residents and family needs lots of work. When made aware of repeated mistakes and lack of service apologies are given, not improvement. I wonder why the staff has high turnover and upper management changes seems to be common also? Effort is only average and do not relate with the costs paid. The sales pitch is very strong, once there be prepared for rate increases and extra services required based on poor evaluations. I got the feeling they were in constant protection mode when you ask questions. Not happy with what was provided.

I ve worked here for 4 years and have nothing but the best to say about VBC! The staff are second to none, Benchmark hires the most friendly and hardworking people! It s a clean and beautiful environment and provides a charming feeling of home.

I have been to several events at the community in the past and they are wonderful! The employees and residents along with outside guests and family are always a magical combination. Will miss that this year!
