Elsa is the best groomer I've found! She grooms our wheaten terrier! And she looks great.

Beware - this facility doesn't allow certain breeds. Such a bummer considering I've heard good things. Sorry to hear that they discriminate against bully breeds.

I 100% recommend Urban puppy daycare!! My moms golden retriever Billie comes once or twice a week and my mom and I couldn't be more impressed! The staff are super friendly. And of course Billie loves it there and comes home tired. My mom even said how the other day when she picked Billie up one of the staff was on the floor with Billie giving her kisses saying Billie is my favourite.

Pretty good selection of pet foods and other pet needs. I saw people picking their dogs up so they must dog sit or something, not actually sure though as I just popped in for a friends dog, I don't have a pet so I don't usually go here

My dog used to be terrified of everything but I don't know how they do it at daycare but he's so much more confident on walks and when meeting people...their staff are so great...my dog loves going to daycare and is exhausted from playing all day whenever he goes...they have also offered a pick up and drop off service on their bark bus now that I'm working from home and don't drop him off on the way to work...

Our dog was always nervous and feisty around other dogs, so we were apprehensive about leaving him while we visited the Vancouver Aquarium. But he had so much fun!

Our puppy Cedar loves coming here! The staff are friendly, knowledgeable about dogs and seem to truly love them. They all know Cedar by name and take great care of her while I'm at work. Definitely recommend.

super accommodating. Willis is always tired and happy after a day here! love that you can check in online and watch videos and see pictures of your pup while your away.

Sad to say that a really sweet dog experienced breed bullying here after coming in and initially being welcomed, he was asked not to come back because of his breed. What a shame and a disappointment.

I have been taking my dog to Urban Puppy for almost 5 years. They are very service focused and consistent. My dog always comes home pooped and always looks forward to his next visit. Great and convenient location.

I was just there purchasing a few things for my dog and to note, I've been here before for my family dog's grooming many times prior to this visit. I was greeted with a staff member who's energy and welcome level was lower than a zombie....

While she may know her product knowledge, my shopping experience was anything but a positive lasting one. Makes me wonder why I even went there in the first place... I should've just bit the bullet and dealt with the hassle to spend more time and more money at PET SMART where the staff are WAY friendlier and welcoming.

My bulldog Lucy ran away from my home about a month ago - when a wind storm had flung my gate open. I came home to no pup ...I was devastated and so were my children.

The Urban Puppy staff were on thier regular dog walking route in my neighbourhood and found this little bulldog running around the neighbourhood without its owner.

They immediately got her in to their van for safety. They took her back with open arms and kept her safe until I was able to locate her.

Laurie and her staff had immediately posted Lucy s photo on social media, Craigslist, radio announcements, and put up posters in the neighbourhood. With community cooperation and care, she was found! Amazing.

When I called Laurie she insisted I provide proof of registration, as she is correct, there are a lot of strange people out there. I was so impressed with how passionate Laurie was to ensure matching lost dogs with their rightful owner.

We picked her up that day and thrilled and touched at the care she received while at Urban Puppy. They were incredibly kind to have washed her as well as Lucy likes to roll around in our garden bed frequently. I asked to pay Laurie and she declined the offer.

All I can say is how grateful I am to Laurie and all her wonderful staff at Urban Puppy. An incrediblely professional, yet community, feel to the place. You won t get better love and care.

I've been bringing my nearly two year old portie since she's been a pup. She is so eager to join the other dogs when I drop her off. I've received great advice and vet referrals from the owners. Awesome value for daylong daycare too.

WOW!!! What an amazing place. The Urban Puppy Shop has become my bulldog's home away from home. The facility is top notch and absolutely spotless. The staff are like family to us, kind, caring and genuinely affectionate towards the dogs. This is largely due in part to the hands on management. I cannot say enough about The Urban Puppy Shop!!!!!

I was going to bring my 7 month old puppy here over the weekend as her brother had a booked appointment. I was shocked and appalled to hear from her brother s owners that Joey and Nala were not welcome because they were mastiffs, which this daycare considers a fighting breed . Anyone who knows anything about dogs should know that Mastiffs are gentle, non aggressive dogs with lovely temperaments. Furthermore, discriminating against dogs based off of breed is appalling for any dog affiliated shelter to do as there is A LOT of research that says it comes down to how the owners raise them. I will never bring a dog here and would recommend that everyone else does the same.

Ps: these dogs look like they re vicious right? Give me a break...

Amazing place to take your dog for daycare and boarding. Friendly staff and they take very good care of your dog.

Great staff, convenient location, dog always comes home tired and happy! Have brought two dogs here for over five years and would absolutely recommend. Patricia Song needs to loosen her panties a bit and realize dogs play and sometimes they get hurt - such is life, smarten up sweetie.

Went for a trial puppy training class and we had a great time. Amazing teacher who really knew what she was doing. Unfortunately we had to go on vacation shortly afterwards and couldn't continue but will definitely look into booking private lessons.

My dog really enjoys going. The staff are very nice to the animals and know them by name. I'm sad each time a long term staff member leaves as then the new one needs to get to know my dog again. In the years I've been taking her she has always loved going, only one time she had some scratches and was anxious going back but thats dogs, they play hard sometimes.

Awesome owner, awesome staff, our dog loves coming here. Runs in the door excited every time.

My dog Mocca has been part of the Urban Puppy family for over a year now and I don't know what I would do without them. Mocca is very playful and she's always happy to get picked for day care or for her daily walks. I personally love how accommodating they are, they truly care about us and I couldn't be more grateful for all their help. Thanks to Phillip and all the amazing boys and girls at Urban Puppy for taking care of my Mocca so well!

We do dog walks and daycare through this shop. The staff are friendly and know our dog by name. The dog is always happy when he sees we're going to urban puppy so clearly they take good care of him. Would recommend!

Amazing god daycare. As soon as we arrive my dog jumps out of the car anf runs in. Heads inside for a day of play and never looks back.
Always comes home tired and happy.
I would highly recommend.

My dog is always very happy going in and coming out! Sometimes he has an odour to him and I have to bath him. I bring him consistently and the staff is very accommodating and friendly.

My Bulldog has going to the Urban Puppy Shop since he was about 5 months old. He is now 4 and a half and he still absolutely loves it! He always comes home tired and very happy! I never worry about my Bulldog, as it is air conditioned in the summer and they are very aware that Bulldogs are heat sensitive.

My dog had gone there a few times and then on one visit he came back with significant scratches on his nose. They took no responsibility and acted like it was no big deal, and could not tell me what happened to my dog that day. The owners were really rude about the incident and touched my dogs wounded nose, it was infuriating. It was a horrible experience. My dog was always super anxious before going. Luckily his wound healed with the help of my vet. Never going back there again. They offer no viewing of the back so it is hard to know how many dogs are there per staff and nobody seemed trained. Awful!

Very accommodating, taking our dog on short notice when we found ourselves needing Daycare unexpectedly while on vacation. We asked for our dog to be kept on her own, not in a play group as she was entered in a DockDogs event the following day, and would play herself out until exhausted if in a group. I was very happy that our request as accommodated and that our dog came home happy and healthy.

Caring, knowledgeable and friendly staff providing an extensive and excellent service. My pup is so excited to go to daycare, and is happy and tired upon her return.

I m sad I had to even give this place one star. I made an appointment at urban puppy for my sweet gentle puppy, about a week ago, they knew he s a mastiff, They met him, and fell in love with him.
Anyone who knows anything about dogs know that they are gentle giants.
They called an hour before our appointment, after confirming, that they don t allow fighting breeds they allow big dogs just not mastiffs. Must mean they just don t know how to use training techniques on large dogs and are inexperienced. I ve heard of size restrictions but never breed restrictions. Super unfortunate And disheartened how uneducated and naive people are. DO NOT GO HERE.
Jet pet has a better facility and all dogs are welcomed.

I'm quite happy we found this service. Our dog just stayed overnight, he had his own bed and crate in a communal "big dog" room which is a nice touch given that he's quite the pack animal and doesn't like to sleep alone at home. When we picked him up he had just come back from a walk and was noticeably tired from whatever games he had been playing with the other dogs. The staff were friendly, competent and accommodating to my request to tour the facility, and a meeting with the owners confirmed that they're customer service oriented and obviously dog lovers - they have no less than 6 dogs of their own!

We take our big guy GusGus there at least 1-2 times a week. He bolts out of the truck, straight up the stairs. Simply put, he loves it at Urban Puppy. He comes home exhausted from all the play time (which is awesome for a large 98lb dog). He gets his lunch along with walks & hugs. They post pics on their Facebook wall so we get to see what he's up to. And they even offer pick up and drop off to downtown Vancouver, Westend and Kits on the secured "BarkBus". It's been a lifesaver that he loves and we love. Plus the price is on par with other daycares, but in my opinion the added services make it a slam dunk. 100% recommend them!

Worst place ever! DO NOT BRING YOUR DOG HERE! If i could rate this place with no stars I would. Very bad experience the first time I Boarded my dog here for a few nights, then ended up with $300 vet bill for medication, second time I picked him up and hes injured. You cant see what happens when they "care" for your dog and what goes on after you give your dog to them, absolutly very very rude staff and extremely rude owner. There is deffinealy a reason why people pay more money to board their dogs at a better place, so that they dont have to deal with this these unexceptable situations. Save your self and your dog and DO NOT GO HERE.

The staff are so friendly. Always making our experience a pleasant one. It is a one stop shop for me and my puppy. They have all the essentials for sale, so you don't have to make an extra stop at a pet store on your way back from picking up your dog.

Left our dog there for less than 3 hours at daycare, paid over $17, and a day later have to deal with a $200 bill from the veterinarian. Our dog came home with a puncture wound and bruises on his chest, high fever and 3 types of medications to administer in the next 10 days. We were told he needs stitches, but we didn't want him to go through even more trauma and want to see if he'll recover first.

When we picked him up, they didn't even tell us he was bitten by another dog. In fact, we asked them and they said he was good. We discovered to our horror that he had a dried up blood patch on him at night. We went back the next day, and were told that the owner was away. We asked for his number and were told that the number cannot be given out to us, even though the employee was able to speak to him. We have to wait till he comes back to talk to him. We have to call to talk to him, not the other way around. For such a severe problem like that, I would have thought that he should be the one calling us back. But, I guess maybe avoidance is their way to deal with the issue. Maybe this is not the first time this has happened.

Having read some of the reviews here now, I realized I made a huge mistake in bringing him to this daycare. I will never not bring him back there again. In fact, I will make sure I tell every single person I know who has a dog to never bring their dog to such a facility. We will be bringing this matter to the city hall, animal control and the media to make sure that something is done about this company, and that no other dog will get hurt like our dog did.

We've taking our dog there for daycare for over a year ...or rather, they've been taking him. Complimentary 'Bark bus' pick up and drop off is uber convenient! Always friendly staff, eager to resolve and issues. Dog always comes home happy and tired. We've also boarded him overnight there on a long weekend.

When we aren t hiking or camping which amounts to once a week, my dog enjoys daycare here. She receives her needed socialization and play in a setting with dogs her size and has the option to rest in a kennel for a time out. The staff know her by name and handle her well.
