Great option for brunch! Large assortment of cocktails, including mocktails. The cold brew coffee is excellent. Tip Tap breakfast was solid, the everything bagel with steak tips was incredibly flavorful and filling, but the highlight were the french toast doughnut holes - oh my goodness, those were decadent!

A delicious restaurant featuring farm to table type American food combined with a great craft beer menu, it s perhaps most accurately described as a gastropub. The food is excellent from the appetizers like spicy boar meatballs to the main courses like lamb shanks. The focus is predominantly meat, but there are fish and veggie options too. It s a popular place to hang out at night, but the wait doesn t seem to get too long. The beer list is enormous and not only features several local craft brews, but they also like to feature several brews from local breweries in tap takeovers.

My experience was that this place is overated. 4.2 average on here and recommended in the Boston Lonely Planet guide book however whilst the food was very good (steak tips very tender and burger melt in your mouth) the beer (and drinks in general) seem totally over-priced. I am a lover of craft ale however $15-20 a pint in some cases and $14 for a small glass of wine, no thanks.

Nice contemporary place. Large drink menu and the food was really good. Based on the name they have a large draught list and most of the dinners are "tips" of various meats (and tofu, if you're into that). When we were there it was pretty busy, so kind of loud, but quieted down as people left for after dinner. Drinks and food were a little pricey.

Great drinks, beer selection, and food. Wide open (almost) floor to ceiling windows during nice weather is a great touch and makes it feel like a patio. Wish they had more than 2 bar high tops, though...

I was really excited about the menu, only to find everything was pretty mediocre.

Had the special braised beef shank and I don't know how braised meat could be so dry. The gnocchi that came with it was hard, I've never had hard gnocchi.

Bone marrow was unseasoned with some soggy stale bread. The baked brie had 5 little mushrooms, and a few beers. Salad was good.

Drinks were great except for the vinegar one.

Cool atmosphere, phenomenal food, delectable mocktails (and presumably cocktails), great service! This place gets bonus points because the owner and head chef is super approachable and friendly!

My boyfriend and I ate here after an event at TD Garden for dinner. The prices were reasonable for dinner ($20-$30 for dinner plates) and there were many options on the menu. There was also a lot of craft beer options as well as wine and cocktails. It was a fun environment with people at the bar and also eating dinner. There was no parking that I could see, but street spots are available and it was a quick walk for us.

Fantastic beer selection. Ranging from sub $5 PBRs up to $20 (and maybe higher) special reserves. Most between $7 & $10 a pint. Beer from all over USA and Europe. It was hard to choose!

Food we had (baked brie) was too good and paired well with our drink selections.

Server offered suggestions, was knowledgeable and attentive. Will return on our next trip to Boston!

By far one of the best peices of steak I have had in a while. I loved how it was covered with peppercorn and it was cooked to perfection. Definitely should go away with the fries on the side and should substitute it with something else. Great selection of beers and everything was priced accordingly. I would absolutely recommend a meal here to anyone that wants good service, great atmosphere and a place to sit back and relax and enjoy a great meal. Kudos to the owner!!!!!

Pretty terrible. Grilled corn off cob has too much raw chili powder dumped on it. Lamb burger missing sauce. Fries not good. Only one alcohol free beer that had no flavor. Waitress was awesome.

The food was good nothing great but the service wasn't good and super slow. The hostess told us to wait because they were clearing a table, but there were easily a dozen other tables empty. Why did we have to wait for a specific table? I have no idea. Fine, we decided to wait. However she then proceeded to seat a table of 4 and another couple that came in after us at the open tables, which makes no sense at all. Took us 10 minutes to get seated when there were literally still empty tables around. Our server was nice but she was extremely slow. The restaurant might have been 60% capacity at most and it took her easily 20 minutes to get our order and the same when we asked for the check.

I was convinced to go there by reviews but found the experience quite ordinary. A restaurant with a very ordinary "look". The choice of beers (reason for our trip) is not that interesting, especially very expensive and VERY few (if not not) local microbreweries. Rather average service, simple cuisine and not bad but quite expensive. Behind us were boilers on the next table because there was rain pouring down from the ceiling.
At this price I would have been elsewhere and I do not recommend the place so much.

There beer and food is overpriced. The beer is trying too hard to be impressive and instead of offering a $6 Harpoon from down the street they offer a $12 Germany import that my German passport carrying best friend has never heard of.
The food is okay, not great and certainly does not justify the price tag.

Lots of local & unique beer options. Zagat description is right on point with this place. The food smelled absolutely delicious although I did not try anything while I was attending after work drinks.

Been here at least a dozen times since moving to the West End and the food and drinks are always great, but the management and staff are the real gems of this establishment. During a recent visit one of the managers came to our table to offer us a discount on our meals after they took a bit too long. We didn't complain or even mention the wait and afterwards when discussing it just figured the restaurant was busy that night. This is not a one time experience and the staff has always treated us right. With that being said they can get busy during the week for dinner. If you're looking to having a conversation while you eat, I would try to get here early.

Great range of beers on tap and some interesting menu options. Personally I found the tip options to be a little too chi-chi, rather than good honest bar food (to go with the decent beers).

Update: we have been to tip tap a few times since it opened. Love the concept, but the execution leaves a little to be desired:
- acoustics aren't great, gets very noisy when you are eating
- twice steak tips have been fatty cuts and over-cooked

I think they need to decide whether they want to be a restaurant or a bar and focus. Attempting both is a stretch for them.

This place is awesome. Great location (2 mins from T stop at Bowdoin), amazing selection of Beers / Ales, good food selection, great staff and service. Best Steak Cuts in Boston apparently and they were good indeed.

Fantastic drinks, crazy good beer selection, and tips galore! Really creative, great food (though i don't think they know how to make a proper brioche, it was quite dry. And their "mousse" was just pudding)
Staff is very friendly, helpful and understanding (especially of my many questions and even criticisms). Overall, definitely recommend. Yummmmmmy stuff.

Bartender was incredibly rude. Service was very slow. Was given a beer that had a 1 inch head on it and I asked for it to be topped off and had to argue with server over it. Service frankly ruined my experience here.

I was drawn here by the quality of their beerlist and was not disappointed. Probably one of the better beer spots in Boston. The food was great, little pricey but worth it. Very nice atmosphere and cool street views from the bar.

We had Boar meatballs, Antelope Burger, and salads. It was all fantastic. The meatballs came with a crunchy bread with Maple Rosmary butter that was so good I ate the entire amount and I m in the Keto diet. Then I blew my diet and said heck with it and ate the fries too!

Large selection of beers on tap to boot

This place always has one of the best beer lists in the city. Food is amazing, and there are always unusual selections like boar gnocchi or antelope steaks. It's a bit pricey, but in a worth-it kind of way.
