I hosted a small (30 guests) 50th wedding anniversary celebration here today. The room was set up beautifully, the catered buffet was superb and the staff was awesome. From the first phone call and meeting until we left the facility today everything went without a hitch. A special thank you to Cory and Elmer for special attention throughout the day! Thank you for allowing us to have a memorable event!

MEG Associates Consulting Group, LLC has contracted with the Event Center since Colorado began requiring continuing education for licensure of home care agencies about mid-2009. Our workshops last up to two days and involve many changing details: numbers of rooms, varied set up, use of medical and technical equipment, kinds of meals and refreshments, etc. The service and food have been wonderful; staff is gracious and solicitous. We would not think of using another venue!!!
I present seminars throughout the country but mostly in Colorado and the Denver-area is a huge market for me. I have been working with The Summit Event Center now for MANY years and can't say enough good things about them. My participants are local businesses (owners and staff) and do NOT need hotel accommodations, so The Summit Event Center is perfect for me. I present multiple times a year using their facility with groups ranging in size from 100 to 400. Their staff, their food (lunches and break out sessions), their seating (classroom style for my groups), their AV (dual projectors and sound system), their parking (huge and close) ... are all amazing. Wonderful venue!!!
We rent training rooms from the Summit several time a year. Have always had a positive experience. Everyone I have dealt with, especially Roxie, goes above and beyond to be helpful. Great customer service.
It's newly renovated area well suited to hold meetings, events etc and very spacious, it's conveniently located on Potomac near 6th and close to I-225.
Roxie and staff were amazing to work with throughout the entire process of the cactus and succulent sale. We have nearly tripled in size in the past few years, and we are an event and plant society managed by volunteers. It's always an exciting event, very busy, lots of guests, and we really enjoyed working with the Summit Staff.
We would absolutely recommend Summit Event Center for any private event. The parking was great and accessible, they were really helpful with set up and take down, and really took care of us.
I have volunteered and worked with the plant society for 4 years and would be delighted to host it at Summit again.
We LOVE the Summit Conference and Event Center! I am a Wish Coordinator for Make-A-Wish Colorado and Roxie and her team has bent over backwards to make sure that our events are run smoothly.
The Connection Church has been meeting at the Summit Event Center for almost a year. They are affordable, flexible and always accommodating. The facility is clean and well taken care of. Our members have become accustom to the level of excellence here, the service and attention from the staff is fantastic! No matter what type of event your planning the Summit Event center is the perfect place to have it!
--Edit on 3/12/20- This year's show and sale has been canceled.--
I was a vendor at the recent plant sale, and I had plants in the plant show. I had items stolen during the event from my vendor table, as well as after the event while breaking down. I also had a plant in the main showroom which was also stolen after the event. There is absolutely no security at this venue despite advanced promises of cameras and surveillance. The guy in charge of security was nice enough, but the venue director Roxie fell completely short of minimal expectations of security both during the event and after. Hopefully future events are more secure and could be adequately supervised. I'm not the only vendor who experienced this type of loss with stolen or 'misplaced' plants, and I'm not the only one who had plants stolen from the show room, which is unsettling. The venue is not responsible for theft or loss, which is unacceptable if they have no security. We were told doors would be locked and access would be managed, but it was not and it was a free-for-all. Some loss is understandable, but this was substantial. I'm not willing to take my rare, valuable and irreplaceable plants to a show venue that is not secure in any way. I would rather keep my award winning plants at home instead of risking them to theft at the venue. The plant that was stolen is quite literally irreplaceable. A ribbon and gawking eyes aren't worth losing my rare and exotic plants. I'm not willing to accept the losses sustained during the event as a vendor in the future, and the only response from the venue was "We looked at footage...it is really hard to distinguish one plant from another" and an absolute 'no' to looking at anything for vendors or anyone outside the venue. I'm sure this venue is fine for weddings and seminars, but this is absolutely a horrible venue for sales or if security is important. Security and the venue was obviously overwhelmed and understaffed despite walk-throughs prior to the plant show and sale, and despite assurances of security and safety from the venue. The venue refused access to security footage, and one person was present during the event despite promises that we would 'have 2 dedicated staff during the weekend.' If someone 'accidentally' took this by mistake, hopefully it gets returned. If someone took this on purpose, I hope you enjoy your new award winning plant.
edited 3/10/2020 - I believe that both the venue and the plant club have addressed security concerns and have implemented additional security measures. This year will have a different layout with fewer lines and a more enjoyable experience for visitors and exhibitors.
Seems to be a popular place for graduations. Does seem to have enough room for the entourages that accompany the class sizes. Wouldn't work for larger classes, though it does seem like the walls can be removed and a larger space created. Still though, easy to get to and a decent space.
I had my wedding there on February of this year 2014, and hated it. Horrible experience, never never do your wedding or any occasion there. Go find something else even if its your last choice don't do it here , do it in your house, trust me. Same fat rude security guy was there who called a police on us. And chased around our guest an old lady, tried to kick here out, and plus they asked me to kick out my 30 guest or they would shut down the wedding. They are so rude and want your money. They took everything up front and bullied us around, my gosh I wish that place to go down, they don't have no idea what they did to us. Please don't do it here. avoid this place
Roxie and Cory were wonderful! We held 2 different events at the Summit Event Center and everything was ready for us when we arrived (even though we showed up very early at 7 am!). Cory had an awesome, helpful attitude, had hot coffee ready for us and our guests, and was available to help us with sound and presentation questions. The price was very fair. We will be looking to book here again in the spring.
Roxie and Cory were awesome to work with. We were using their space for about 6 weeks for work and they were always accommodating with our hours and helped us with anything we needed. Would highly recommend!
PAR Electrical Contractors conducted Training recently at the Summit Conference Center, the room accommodations were great, and everything went very well, overall a very positive experience. We will continue to utilize Summit for future events.
My husband and I had our wedding reception at the Summit Event Center and it was a horrible experience to say the least! This was supposed to be the most memorable day of our lives, and it was. But in the worst possible way!
To start off the staff was instructed to have our decorations in the room and ready for our help to start decorating and they didn't have it available. Our help had to go searching for it. Also, they were supposed to have all our cake out on the table to start since it was all decorated. So, once we arrived my mother had to go and find the rest of the cake to put out.
The food left much to be desired. We tasted the food and picked our menu before the wedding, but the food that was served was cold, and tasteless. Nothing like we tasted beforehand. Also, the children at our wedding were to be served a different meal (more kid friendly) the same time my husband and I were served. The employees forgot to serve the children and by the time we realized it, they were already eating food off their parents' plates. They finally brought out the children's meals, but just like ours, it was not up to par. We also purchased the option to have two proteins per person. But, since they had no server for the proteins, or a sign that explained anything our guests didn't realize they could take two. There must have been TONS of food left over, but we never saw it.
During the whole reception anytime we had a question none of the staff could understand us because they didn't speak English! We saw the manager once at the beginning of the night, and then he disappeared never to be seen again. I felt the worst for my mom (mother of the bride who also paid for this reception) because she couldn't enjoy herself at all the whole night. She was constantly running around trying to make sure things were done correctly and getting ignored by staff.
Throughout the whole night the staff would go around taking drinks off tables before they were empty. Many of them were paid alcohol drinks that were completely full, or more than half full. Many of our guests complained of paying for drinks and then not getting to drink them. They also took my husband and I's cake off our table before we even had one bite. It was still untouched!
At the end of the evening the staff started cleaning up well before our cutoff. They were even piling our decorations which we were taking home with trash all on one table to be sifted through later.
My mom tried contacting the owner to have our grievances heard, and the owner seemed interested at first. But after talking to her staff who told her that we were lying. She decided to not even listen to our side of the story. Saying that her employees wouldn't lie and there was no reason to hear us out. She even threatened us with a law suit for posting a negative review of her business.
Please save yourself the heartache and trouble by finding somewhere else for your occasion!
We have found the Summit event center to be a great place to hold our annual basketball banquet. The rooms are very nice and perfect for our group. It is very affordable as well. It is rare to find a place that you can use your own caterers so that is a bonus!
I planned a formal dinner for 240 people at this event center. First, we were told we had the right of first refusal for an extra room -- then, the Sales Rep, Roxie, rented that out without discussing it with us and then denied she gave us the right of first refusal. Then, the night of the event, we find out that the space rented next door isn't a quiet meeting - but a 40th birthday party with a DJ. The event next to us was loud and the music bass disrupted our Keynote speaker and our award ceremony. On top of the music issue, we had some minor issues with meal service. Overall, months of work was tarnished by the bad judgement of the Sales Staff.
Our company held a business expo at the Summit. The venue was set up perfectly and the catering was fantastic. Roxie was so helpful as well. I highly recommend the Summit for an event.
You stand in the doorway, wind whipping your face, heart thumping loudly in your chest, you take a deep breath, brace yourself and step into the void...
I had my wedding reception at this location. Beautiful place, and the staff during reception was awesome. The only problem I had with this place was Roxie. Every question I had, or every phone call I made, it seemed like I was bothering her. She always was irritated, very short and rude. Instead of trying to help me make my day extra special she only made it more stressful. I probably won't come back here or refer people here as long as she works there.
It's in a strip mall, the WiFi is spotty at best, and they had to string a bunch of extension cords together to provide electrical service to plug in laptops. I almost gave them one star.
When it was a Wedding event June 2013 the security guys are rude and fat I take a break in one of the chairs they have and asked me out of there, the air conditioning does not work well I do not like this event center is hard to get for guests Do not call them
I just wanted to tell you that we had a wonderful experience at your facility! From the first day I called for information you were so easy to work with. I appreciate your quick responses to all questions and e-mails. The day of the memorial service all of the staff members were truly courteous and helpful. Corey and Elmer really did a great job. The facility clean and was perfect for what we needed.
The conference staff were wonderful in assisting us with our conference in June. They assisted in accommodating us for videotaping a panel discussion and with the different space options it was easy to have a morning general session and afternoon breakout sessions. The participants were also very pleased with the facilities, staff, and food.
I was looking into event centers to make my daughters party. But when I was finally able to contact them , the lady acted in a very rude manner. She had an attitude to every single question I asked.
Horrible experience. Roxie was very rude and refused to work with us. We gave a 6 month cancellation notice for our event. She refused to give us a refund and cancel our contract. I left voicemails and emails and no call back or responses. I do not recommend having an event here especially If something happens to where you need to cancel like it was for us. And when I asked for the owners information Roxie refused to give it to me and told me they do not want to speak to me or hear anything about our event. So unprofessional.
My company hosted a luncheon here at the Summit and the experience was above and beyond amazing. The staff was courteous and helpful. The customer services was amazing. The Food was delicious and the staff made sure that the venue was clean and presentable. We rented the main ball room, and since the luncheon was during the holiday season the staff had the ball room decorated beautifully. They accommodated 300+ employees and even had additional rooms for individuals to use for private conference calls. And with having an event with so many people, when last minute changes were made, The Summit handled every change with grace. In asking for feedback from others who attended what they thought, feedback was positive and very upbeat. I will definitely will be hosting future events here at The Summit!!!!
We've been partners with the Summit Event Center since 2008. They have hosted our meetings every month and they are the best! Their staff goes above and beyond continuously. They are always looking to help and anticipate our needs before we ask. They are a great partner!
Gilmore Construction has held two of our Operations Meeting at The Summit Event Center. Roxie Crowe and her team made our event a complete success. Thank you Summit!
Horrible. Roxie never returned our calls. We were planning on 2 graduation parties in May. You call leave her a message it's days before hearing back. Relative called and was in contact with "Roxie" who kept on getting our info mixed up with other events. Totally confused and unorganized as an event planner. We all ended up going else where. Sorry "Roxie" you just couldn't get it right.
Had a baby shower for my son's and his fiance' here today and I was delighted! The staff including Roxie and Cory were all wonderful and down to earth. I was very pleased with the setup of our room.It was more then I imagined which made setup for us easy! Thank you so much for all your help! - Mrs.Howard :-)
Our group has booked several events at this location and each one has been fantastic. The parking is ample, and it is easy to locate. If we've ever come across a need during the event Roxie and her staff have been quick to respond. We will continue to book events here.
The interior is really nice. I went for a banquet, but could easily see this being a wedding reception venue. The bathrooms even had changing areas and there was a dance floor. The food was just okay. Lots of parking.
Came for the cactus and succulent expo! The venue is smaller than it should've been for the expo, and there were some issues with lining up to buy plants, but the venue overall is pretty great.
Our company has just held our second conference at the Summit Conference Center and once again everything was organized and run smoothly. Thanks to Roxie, it was a pleasure doing business with you. Roxie took care of our conference needs.
Annie Ellmers The Pooch Mobile USA Director of operations
