The Strand Guesthouse Review

HORRIBLE, NEVER EVER GOING BACK THERE!

The rooms were dirty the bathroom smelt like urine.

The owners are selfish greedy people just trying to make fast money. It's not a guest house it's their own home that they temporarily rent out. All the cupboards were locked or full of their clothes so their was no space to unpack. We paid for a self catering three bedroom unit. It was advertised for 5 sleeper coaches, 2 double bunk beds, one standard bed and one extra large bed, what we got was one cot bed and a cot, 3 normal coaches, 1 bunk bed and a queen bed. Totally unacceptable.

There was a camera facing the coaches that they failed to disclose which we only saw AFTER my family members changed clothes to sleep on the so called sleeper coach

The fridge was dirty with their own leftover food and DRINKS. Also when you open the kitchen window it opens to another guests bathroom.

This is a really friendly guesthouse which has a great service and good atmosphere. The rooms are really clean, we had wonderful time with my friends. I will definitely be back.

Personally l would recommend this guesthouse for anyone from couples, family and big groups, we stayed in one of their family rooms that can sleep 5 and it has nice bunk beds for kids, Its also a walk away from the beach and shps and restaurants

Enjoyed our stay at Strand Guesthouse. Very friendly hosts. Room very neat and Tidy. Will come again.

Horrible place, will not recommend it to anyone. Two towels between 6 people over 3 days, welcomed by a cleaner, expired coffee, my family got electrocuted by the shower a couple times, dog smell throughout, unfriendly place, the list goes on...

The stuff workers are so friendly and u feel @ home.

This is a wonderful place to stay, with such nice owners that make you feel so comfortable and at ease in the Cape, will definitely stay through Christmas holidays again, as the place is so neat and tidy & safe, with beds that are quality comfy beds, and rooms are your own personal space, which has dstv and free wifi.
