It's a lovely place, seats are better than most theaters of this age. The acoustics are good. It's a much more intimate experience with the performers in a smaller venue. Had a very enjoyable experience.
What a GLORIOUS venue! Omgahhhh so beautiful! The acoustics were great as well. We saw Needtobreathe on their acoustic tour and they rocked the house - definite crowd pleaser. Although we didnt sit in the balcony, went up during intermission to check out the view & it was stunning. First time I've been to this venue, but I'll be watching their calendar for another opportunity to attend. It was definitely worth the 2 hour drive to get there! Highly recommend.
This venue is outstanding. Perfect security, great staff. What a beautiful,perfect venue. Literally zero complaints. A lot of places could learn from them.
Front row "plastic chairs very uncomfortable." Got really warm during concert. "Meet and greet" was a joke!!!
Poor state theatre has seen much better days. Very run down. 1 to 10 a weak 3.
As much as is overcharged for tickets, you would think they would take better care of a landmark. Theatre Board needs to be replaced. Never again. So sad.
One of a kind place it's been around along time. Concert was good seats were good as well Even though we sat in the balcony.
Saw the Punch Brothers with their VIP session as well and the staff was lovely, kind professional and speedy. This theater is fantastic
This place is an amazing venue. The inside is increfible ornate and beautiful. The staff was so amazingly kind. I have physical issues and they spent a lot of time figuring out how to make it work for me and going out of their way to make CERTAIN I was able to attend this concert. And then even checked in during the concert to see if I was okay. Amazing human beings. We saw Rufus Wainwright and it was the first perfectly mixed concert I have attended in forever. (My husband is a band teacher). The acoustics are excellent. Bathrooms were clean. Can't say enough good things about this place. Thank you for a great experience. Highly recommended.
Wonderfully historic theater! Many old details.... take a step back in time when you enter the doors. Intimate seating so there is no bad seat in the house. Updated bathrooms on the balcony level.
First time at the State theater wonderful experience the people and the experience was wonderful I hope others can enjoy this theater, just as I did.
