This is one of my favorite places, they keep their menu focused on what they do best, their soups are delicious and the staff are awesome. They get their buns from Cobb. Their prices are reasonable and portions generous. I like mixing their Seafood & Boston Clam Chowders together.

Good soup and bread and good price, but bad customer service. You have to get their attention or they won't ask if you need help or have been helped. Train your staff to be more aware. I know you are busy, especially during lunch, but make sure to be friendly, offer samples, instead of having people ask for them, and smile!

Excellent soup and very hearty and filling and never disappoints. Also there is take away if you don't want to sit and eat there itself they do have more choices for take away as well.

Quite shocked to see none of the employees wearing masks while working at arm's length from each other, and even more shocked to observe the maskless employee frequently touch his face while putting out soup containers with bare hands. He then moved to handling the cash register... Owner's response, "stay home if you are so afraid" and "go somewhere else if you don't like what you see..." ALL THIS SHORTLY AFTER ADDITIONAL COVID RESTRICTIONS WERE ORDERED FOR METRO VANCOUVER..

Soup please.

Soup please.
Tandoori chicken won the "soup off" today.
Hot soup includes a bun.
Cold soup does not include a bun.

Tried three different soups: seafood chowder, lemon chicken and cream of mushroom. All were very salty. The seafood chowder tasted like cat food. I could not even finish mine and it wasn t because I was full.

I cannot talk highly enough about this place. The best soups on earth. These guys make incredible soups from scratch every day. Everything grease and super tasty. There is no one bad word that anyone can say about this place!!! Every time that I m in north van I try to make it for a soup here. Every guest that I have in town I bring them here and they love it!!!!

I meet friends in this great spot quite often! This is the best place to eat. I visit this spot frequently. The cooking is of high quality, the team is polite and the payment is decent. I enjoy going in this place to have a decent lunch.

Hearty, delicious, fresh soups. We just picked up several different soups and four of us had 3 different kinds and we all loved our soup. Yes it costs more than canned soup but the ingredients are listed and I'd much rather serve my kids these soups as they are much healthier, worth the little bit more. I definitely recommend on stocking up on their delicious soups as they are also freezer friendly. I've had their soups before and every time it's excellent.

Average tasting soup - nothing much in the way of ingredients, seems like they add quite a bit of thickeners to make you full without actually adding any fresh produce. Staff are ok, although service seemed pretty cold.

Most amazing soup in Vancouver. Apart from being very affordable, the owner takes great pride in himself and his staff. Everyone is always working hard and very friendly. Great variety and a good stop for meat eaters and those who with more strict diet restrictions alike. Great bang for buck.

I am so disappointed, what has happened to this place? It used to have amazing soup. I had the lemongrass chicken soup (not sure why it's called that since it just tasted like chicken and rice with some sugar uck!) and my wife had the hamburger ranch soup (I assure you there was 0 ranch flavor). The two stars is only because I feel nostalgic coming here, maybe one day they'll make good soup again.

I was just browsing around, waiting for a bus, when I saw this place. The chef had just made a new batch of Manhattan Clam Chowder and the smell was fantastic. You could see the chef was pleased with his creation as he carefully stirred and consolidated the soup. I entered with no intention of buying but I left with a large bowl. DELICIOUS!!! If you take the water bus to North Vancouver, turn right and stop for soup. You'll be happy you did.

Great place to grab soup at the Lonsdale Quay Market! I love the Boston Clam Chowder here. The soups are very well made and loaded with clams. There's also a grab & go refrigerated soup section if you want to enjoy the soups later.

They close at 7pm the night we went there however we were told at 6:20 by an arrogant young man that they were no longer serving hot soup (even though he was pouring hot soup into containers right in front of us) and that we had to purchase cold soup from the fridge. This company will never get a penny of my money. Poor service equals no money.

I was really excited to try this place but ended up feeling disappointed. I ordered a small seafood chowder and while the broth was decent there was way too much fish - big hunks. The fish was just ok, mostly very firm tuna I think. Found a few tiny shrimp, smaller than small. I would have preferred more variety in the bowl and even more veg. Maybe I just got a bad scoop. Just too many big dense pieces of fish. The bun was good. Will try this place again but get something different.

I bought a large clam chowder today (Feb 18, 2014) and was unfortunately, far from impressed. It was way too bland, I could hardly find any pieces of clam, and the potatoes were few and far between. It was also quite glutinous and I wondered if there had been a lot of cornstarch or similar in it?
All in all, quite disappointing and NOT what I expected.
The service was fine.

Delicious soup and nice location. If you re in the shopping center and looking for a light meal or even a hearty soup before dinner, while you re shopping, this place is perfect. We had the chicken noodles, hamburger soup, and veggie lentil and they were all yummy. The bread was fresh and delicious too.
