Saw Vicious, Neck Deep, Sleeping With Sirens, Cedar Green, and Versus at the Sherman Theatre. Very exciting time!!!!! For a music venue in NEPA it brought me a lot of ambience, it didn't feel like a dangerous environment filled with obnoxious security/staff and it was the opposite of crowded. Would love to go see a concert here again!!!

A great show... but the theater could use some TLC. Lines at the bars and restrooms were out the door, and the design stacks the lines all together so it s a confusing mess. All of the doors to enter the main theater were blocked all night because of the lines. Seems like it would be pretty easy to address if they were motivated

Got to enjoy a great show put on by Granger Smith here. The venue is a neat little venue, open standing and also seating available on the sides. It's a venue where you absolutely get to be up close and personal with the performers. Would love to see more shows here.

Nice venue. Friendly staff. If you don't like standing in general admission, they have quite a bit of seating. It's about 1.5 hours from home, but we've seen at least a dozen shows here. If you get there early, Stroudsburg is a really cute town, so walk around and enjoy it.

The venue itself is nice with about 20 chairs and maybe some space for 20 people to stand. The lighting and sound engineers are good
.the place as an open Mic space is better than many other places in the sense that it is just that....a performance space.....not a bar, coffee house, hookah lounge, etc where you are coaxed into buying something. There is no cover charge and everyone there is to see entertainment or attempt to entertain. The showcase is between the Sherman theatre and a laundrymat and there is on street parking out front. My only critique is that the open Mic hostess should say something between sets after a performance like ..." that was blah blah blah, give it up for blah..." and NOT just say "up next is blah blah blah ". Saying thank you and mentioning the name of the band seems more welcoming and grateful to those who traveled to play out and maybe it was their first time at the showcase. The hostess seemed nice but was unenthusiastic and seemed even bored as the open Mic host. Being dismissive of certain performances and not others is a reason someone such as myself wouldn't want to travel an hour to play again. I did wear spandex, rock out a banjo, and sport a manly handle bar moustache for the occassion... the hostess was obviously NOT impressed. Photo included!

My husband and I saw Circa Survive here last night and thoroughly enjoyed the show. The venue lends itself to live music, as there are good sightlines from most of the general admission area. We called earlier to ask if there was a coat check and were told there was, only to arrive and be told that they stop offering "once it gets warmer out". This turned out to be only a mild inconvenience as it stayed pretty cold inside anyway. The staff was very friendly and the theater is located in a nice downtown area. Overall, we had a great time and will return to see more shows.

Paranoid "No Re-entry" policy renders you prisoner while you are inside. 'Cash only' bar with very expensive drinks only leads one to the conclusion that proceeds are not on the books and in the smarmy CEO's pocket. Security is overbearing and rude at times. Smoking area is a crowded, dirty alleyway. Popular shows will be oversold, fans will be packed in like sardines in a can. Sloped floor leading to stage hurts back after standing for 2 hours. Bathrooms are akin to a 3rd world country. Exclusive and pricey box seats are forced to share with all VIP's.

Wheelchair Accessibility: This review focuses on ADA compliance and wheelchair accessibility in the venue itself. Although Sherman Theater doesn't have designated ADA sections, they made every effort to accommodate people with mobility devices during my most recent visit to see Blue October. When I explained that I'm a wheelchair user to the box office, I was instructed to show up about 15 minutes before doors opened. I lined up with a few other wheelchair and scooter users. We were greeted by an amazing security staff member named Danny who took great care in making sure that we made it to the front row on the right corner of the stage. He parted the crowd for us and politely asked other general admission ticket holders to allow us in front so as to make sure we could see the stage free of obstructions. Danny was extremely attentive throughout the show by checking on us all periodically and making sure our area remained free of obstructions. When the show was over he was right there to help us get through the crowd with minimal difficulty.
I really feel like Danny made every effort to make sure that I had the same chance to experience the show as anyone else who pays full price for a ticket. I've been to many shows in the past at The Sherman Theater when I had to advocate for myself and even though they typically worked out, it was always a very anxious experience. Thanks to Danny and what felt like an impromptu ADA seating section, I won't hesitate to by tickets to shows there ever again. I'm confident I'll be taken care of once I get there. Thank you!

Went to see Smith and Myers. First time ever at the Sherman. The show was great, but the Skybox was a joke. I was talked into a membership and sold the goods on how great the Skybox was. Paid essentially over 2x the regular ticket cost. When we got there the Skybox was the old projector room with no seats. Additionally it is shown as 2 Skyboxes that seat 12 each. In reality it is one small room that they squeeze 24 people into without seats. They put up a temporary room divider that eats up even more space into the already tiny room. The food that comes with this "luxury" box is essentially a box of Ritz and a few slices of cheese. We were also supposed to get a dedicated server, but there was nobody there until I made an issue of the terrible accomodations and they pulled someone from the bar to take our order.

BTW, the party in Skybox #2 (the 12 people on the other side of the room divider) were just as unhappy as my group. They were sold the same story....

The Sherman is my favorite venue for concerts. There is a cool bar, somtimes snacks, and there is not a bad seat in the house. Right in the middle of all the action in downtown Stroudsburg, there is lots to do and see. Plenty of bars and restaurants, great if you get there early. The price is right and the shows I've been at here are was more intimate then larger venues.

First time at The Sherman Showcase to see my son's band, Crookshanks, perform. Really nothing special about it except it's next to The Sherman Theater. It's on a convenient location on the busy Main Street. A nice place to see local bands.

They get some good bands, but there is no place to park and after paying $60 for a ticket, the least they could do is provide a water fountain since they will only sell water in bottles. It sucks that they are really just in it for the money and not the art.

Nice venue, and surprisingly quite clean even at with bigger shows. The problem from I've had with the 3 times I've been there is the slant of the floor for General Admission. It's a slow but sure way to be quite sore after a show. Didn't take away from excellent shows, though.
