It is what it is. Just thought the artist was pretentious.

I visited the Scottish Gallery this month as part of a frequent browse of Dundas Street galleries. As it happened, my mother visited independently last month too. This review score relates to the lower level of the gallery, where craft and smaller objects are sold. The top floor had, as usual, a carefully curated and excellent exhibition. Downstairs there was a supercilious young woman who evidently finds it too much effort to raise her eyes and greet her customers; rather, she flicked her eyes at me and then made herself look as busy as she could with other things. As a former gallery director I observed with interest as she then engaged with another member of staff,discussing a minor stock install in loud voices, not having bothered to greet me. This was the same experience that my mother had on a separate visit this December. I found it a little absurd that independently, we both visited and were ready to spend money on gifts of art and jewellery, but were emphatically dissuaded by the terrible attitude of a member of gallery staff. While there are many important elements to working in galleries public or private, greeting visitors and potential purchasers should come first. As a result, I spent money elsewhere and I left with the sense that the staff had an attitude problem that bordered on rudeness.

The service is outstanding and pleasant as mass music does flow.

The drinks are very out going tea coffee and liquor beer to there's wines from a wide selection

Well the food is so devilish and tasty I've never been upset me
So clean comfortable with all it's settings
And close to all local amenities you'll see
Fantastic service and happiness in voices as word's do flow
This place has an array of magic and that is the truth I say so

I'm here about five days out of seven
No I don't here oh no
I come for some lunch and my coffee's
where I see many faces that glow
With smiles and happiness in enjoyment
It's a fabulous place to eat I see
Even for drinks with a friend or loved one or the family in life you will see

Memories are made but I can say this place has an char artistic comfortable flow with all the staff and guests now it's outstanding I tell you so

If you love great food well outstanding and pleasant company or to be alone well contini is just so perfect trust me I really do have just the know

I've never been dissatisfied with the food or the service oh no. They do have other Establishments one close I've been there to fantastic for a romantic evening or to enjoy in peace I tell you

Contemporary Scottish artists, fine art for sale... Lovely. Stuff! Can view without buying

Very interesting gallery with a varied programme shows really the best artist in Scotland. Really worth regular visits to keep up with what's going on and always very good quality and very varied in the exhibition programme.

Beautiful private gallery showing traditional and contemporary artworks and artisan ceramics and jewellery. Bright, airy and welcoming with helpful staff.

Well.laid out and art displayed nicely. Staff helpful.

I have now been in 3 times and each time felt awkward.
No one makes you feel comfortable or even wanted!

You sell art which I love looking at , but your customer service isn t there.

Lachlan Goudie s solo exhibition reminded me Nikolai Astrup in some of his landscapes, interesting work!
