Clarion Suites Downtown Reviews

Nice and clean at a very reasonable price! Very roomy with great sun lighting throughout the bedroom. The suite includes sofa, refrigerator and microwave. Family friendly

Always a little leary of the "Clarion" type places. This was clean, comfortable, affordable with friendly staff. DOES NOT ALLOW cash payments right now due to Covid.

The rooms are nice and spacious. Clean. It was 59 degrees in the room. The air conditioner kept blowing cold air. They have safes in the rooms.

The outside of the hotel looks good. The inside of our room had some issues. No bath tub plug, for one. The bathroom soap dispenser was broken. The bathroom wall paper was peeling next to the tub, and the couch arm fabric was torn. Not deal breakers for us for a one night stay, but the room needs repair to earn that 5 star rating. Still, the price couldn't be beat and the staff was very friendly. The room layout is really cool. It has a bedroom with two queen beds, a chair, dresser, bedside table, and tv. A closet with door so you don't have to stare at your luggage. A bathroom, a bathroom sink area(outside of the bathroom itself)a little coffee maker, and then another attached room with a kitchen sink, microwave, mini fridge, and a livingroom setup. Couch(I believe with a pullout bed since there was an extra set of sheets, pillow, and blanket in the closet but didn't check), coffee table, a second tv, and a little desk. It was a very comfortable space for our big family. The beds were comfortable, not too soft or too firm, somewhere in between. Overall, we would stay here again if needed.

No Greeting from front desk, horrible customer service.

Forced to sign paperwork that didnt show my nightly rate because i booked through a 3rd party.

Room furniture and dressers were broken and old. Microwave was filthy. Pillows were dirty.

Laundry room charges $3 per wash and per dry. There is no change machine on site and when I asked customer service for change they did not have change.

The room is ok though it had a musty smell, definitely not a clean fresh smell. Says breakfast is included, worst breakfast ever. Yogurt apple and small packaged junk food muffin. Disappointing

Stayed here for two weeks for military training. Staff is polite, and my room was clean. The area the hotel is in is shady because of all the homeless but I m guessing that is the majority of downtown. Other people I trained with stayed at other hotels in down and they had awful experiences. Some didn t have fridge and they didn t come to clean there room the entire time they were there. I m glad I made a good choice going with Clarion. If I m ever lucky enough to come back to anchorage I will definitely stay here again.

It s a comfortable place to sleep that is very inexpensive for Anchorage. It s definitely starting to show its age though and some maintenance could definitely be done.

I was given a bottom floor room again next to the office. The young woman checking us in was not polite didn't even say a word the whole time. The door latch is broken and the door gap from door to floor is like 3 inches wide. The furniture is run down, no soap in the dispenser and no ice bucket, and it is dirty like nobody wiped down the furniture the bathroom has something sticky on it. Overall the worst part is the lack of customer service when checking in and not being asked if I'm ok with the bottom floor AGAIN. It feels like discrimination to be honest because of my race or appearance.
