I initially took my review down because I felt bad for leaving a bad review. But realistically it is worse not to tell people what they might be getting into.
Everything about this apartment is so nice I would hive it five stars. But the noise problem is so, so severe I m almost tempted to give it just one.
I was told by one of the staff members that the noise issues I was having were just a part of apartment life . I ve lived in two other apartment complexes plus one campus housing with actual college students, nothing has come remotely close to this. While things might have been loud occasionally at those places I never got to the point where I called in about it because I generally don t feel comfortable calling and complaining, I don t want to be that person.
But when the noise coming from upstairs actually hurts your ears, daily, sometimes for hours on end, eventually you just have to call in.
One of the issues as well is there is a leaf blower being run daily here. Now, there is absolutely no reason for a leaf blower to be run daily. Once or even twice a week, ok, but daily is just a discourtesy and a nuisance to residents, as every day that I forget to put noise cancelling headphones on before falling asleep it wakes me up, and also wakes the upstairs neighbors up so I get at least half an hour of misery. Last time in my review I mentioned this and I was just told if there is noise between 11:30 pm and 7:30 am you can report it. So basically, any sort of noise short of an actual bomb going off between those hours is just going to be accepted.
While I did mention a couple of not perfect responses to my complaints in general the staff have actually been incredibly nice and helpful. That being said I just can t NOT warn people about this noise problem. It is so, so bad. I can hear the people upstairs brush their teeth, this is the thinness of the ceiling. But despite the fact that any if these apartments has thin walls it must be noted I got an apartment below someone who throws very late parties with loud music sometimes lasting until after 2 am, and when someone came in and walked around in that apartment to check the noise except for in the bathroom where the walls are thin I could barely hear anything but the people above me step so loud it is louder than my noise cancelling headphones can block out. When me being moved to another apartment was discussed it seemed they only wanted to allow me a roof option (which would almost definitely mean a floor plan that is not as good as the one I currently have) because there could just be similar noise otherwise. Thing is, most people do not throw loud parties until two in the morning, or step so loudly into the floor that it hurts your ears, and I really don t want to have to lose the home I picked out because the upstairs people simply don t care at all about being courteous.
