Not sure we could have asked for much more for a stay in Duck NC during COVID. They kept everything very sanitized, only allowed us into our houses/rooms after they had been cleaned and unoccupied for a full 24 hrs, and the staff was friendly and helpful while we were waiting for our rooms. The property is very pretty, and the beaches were clean and not crowded at all. One of their best features is that they will set up umbrellas and chairs for you down on the beach before you get there, and put them away when you leave. Our whole family had a great time, and we cannot complement the enough for the job they did during this pandemic to make us feel safe.

My husband and I booked their most expensive room for our 5 year Anniversary. After some much needed alone time and a break from our 3 toddlers we were really looking forward to a stay here. I have never been treated so poorly in my life. While it is on the beach there is a huge sand bar in front of it so you can only really see the water from the top floor and they have a very limited number of rooms. One girl screamed, literally screamed, at me in the phone. We were told the Jacuzzi near our room was not working and if we wanted to use one it was on the other side of the resort come to find out the next morning it was indeed working but was certainly not nearly warm enough given the early March temps. The room we were given had a view of houses and a construction zone and it took my husband practically pulling teeth to get the room we reserved several months in advance. This was bar none the worst experience I have ever had at any hotel let alone a resort. Stay as far away from here as you can.

We were there to check out the new remodeled event house. The Sanderling is a beautiful property and the Event House adds to the property. Beautifully well done, great views from the upstairs main room, nice size and will be perfect for your wedding, party, business meeting.

My wife and I didnt feel comfortable with our original honeymoon plans during the pandemic. We stumbled upon Sanderling and felt safer here based their listed responses and adaptations made to keep everyone safe while still providing excellent service.

When we arrived in person things were as expected. Great room, excellent views and friendly staff. We felt very safe during our entire week-long stay. There were still a few other guests who didn't have masks on in the hallways but I won't knock Sanderling for their stupidity/ignorance.

We had an excellent honeymoon and it was our first time to the outerbanks as well. As long as we continue to have the time and opportunity, we will be returning to Sanderling down the road!

This resort is located 4 miles north of Duck, NC. I brought my wife for a surprise birthday weekend getaway. Upon arrival we were greeted with very friendly and professional staff. Our room was very large, clean, and had a private balcony with ocean sounds and hammock chairs. It contained a welcome note with a smores kit for use at one of the two large firepits. Turndown service is provided each evening with some salt water taffy treats and a printed note with the next day's weather conditions. Live music was provided at the fire pit both evenings of our stay. The beach has 3 private access areas and us not very crowded. And beach chairs and umbrella are included as part of the resort stay with an attendant setting everything up for you. A very enjoyable and relaxing time and we hope to come again soon.

We stop at the Lifesaving Station every year during our annual trip to the Outer Banks. We usually go for lunch because it's less crowded. The quality of the food and the service has definitely gone down since last year. The crab cake sandwich and the homemade chips was good, but the kids pasta was just okay, and the cheese burger was meh as well. The service was painfully slow as well, so I doubt we'll go back next year.

Have had a fantastic few days here. The weather did not cooperate unfortunately, but everything else has been very relaxing. If you come, make sure to have breakfast at The Lifesaving Station and dinner at Coastal Cravings (and don't forget to grab some donuts from Duck Donuts).

The resort was perfect for our honeymoon! Very cute rooms and friendly staff. The pool was the perfect spot to hangout and the resort was a short drive to local shops.
My two complaints would be we had ants in our bathroom and the bed slopes so I either had to be in the middle or very edge to feel like I wasn t going to roll.

A wonderful resort/spa. Even during the Pandemic the service is top notch. All the employees were wearing masks & gloves. There customer service beyond reproach. Everyone is friendly & polite. The 3 floor ocean view suite is well furnished & has lots of closet/drawer space. The view of the ocean is breathtaking!! At night we cracked the windows to let the sound of the ocean left us drift off to sleep! Highly recommended!

Poor customer service. I called to inquire about the COVID-19 first responder discount and got the voicemail service. It's been over 24 hours and no one has returned my call. Guess you have to fight to get the discount, but if you can't even return a simple phone call to a repeat customer, you don't get ANY of my business.

Very nice rooms, staff is friendly and helpful. The spa is also very nice. The on site restaurants are good too. Great location on the beach. In the off-season it's like you have the whole place to yourself to relax.

Five stars for both the hotel and the spa! We visited the spa during my most recent visit and everyone in our party agreed it was one of the best massages they've ever had. Beautiful setting! Relaxing, well-thought-out facility. We will definitely return!

Service was horrible. When items on menu were inquired about and confirmed to be gluten free over the phone, they were NOT when we got there. Two out of four fillets were cooked wrong. Yams and brussel sprouts were hard. Definitely won't be going back. Their only saving grace was that the fillet was tasty.
