Nice pub, great staff, and out of town so can avoid places heaving with tourists, good food if you eat meat.
However it is seriously lacking in vegetarian suitable food which is surprising these days, as a lot of groups going to dinner will have a vegetarian in their midst who will be very disapointed.
I'd be givng it 4 starts if the menu actually showed something without meat/fish. But as it stands you have to ask, and then usually have the same single offering which does at least vary from not very nice at all, to OK.

Lovely situation with beautiful views and a nice relaxed atmosphere. Friendly staff and a wonderful waitress who was very accommodating, explained the menu well and was happy to chat and give information and advice about the local area. Food was delicious and well presented, will definitely return and recommend.

Had fantastic lunch yesterday, I had king prawn kerbs for starters, roast beef absolutely super for main and salted caramel cheesecake for desert, my wife and sons had the same starters but for mains they had cod and chips with same desserts

Early doors so a bit quiet I am sure it gets better.

Ordered the plaice and it arrived incredibly watery and didn't taste fresh, was possibly frozen. The kitchen offered to cook another one which unfortunately was also very watery. After that I just gave up and went elsewhere since plaice isn't exactly hard to cook. Nice location for a drink in the garden but don't eat here!!

Very traditional pub/restaurant with a cozy atmosphere. We got a reservation via phone one hour in advance in the bar area. There's also a sunroom with sea view.
The food was well portioned and delicious. Service was friendly and accommodating.
We can recommend it if you like to have a traditional and authentic Sunday Roast.

Arrived at half eight on the dot - just on the sunset so we could eat late on our holiday with the amazing sea view. However was gutted to be told they stop serving food at 8.30 exactly?! That s insane for a holiday town where people are eating late especially when it s still light at that time... beautiful place however

Good food and size Portions were more than we could handle. Would have got a 5 but they didn't have all the desserts on the board

First visit to this pub the garden is amazing it has a little park for the children and amazing views of the sea felt good to be able to sit outside and watch the sun go down
